I was one of those children who wanted to be a veterinarian when I was young, but I decided after taking an Early Childhood Education class that I wanted to be a teacher. I have then signed up for the teacher cadet program at my school. To reach my goals, I realize that I must pursue at least a four year college education beginning in the Fall 2016 semester. I am very excited about my future and feel that with the opportunity your scholarship will provide, I can help teach a younger generation.
I have realized I have a certain fondness for small children and that led to me wanted to be an Early Childhood teacher. I have done a lot of research on colleges near me and I have narrowed my choice down University of South Carolina. I have decided
to attend the Lancaster campus for two years to save money since my family doesn’t have the financial resources to pay for four years at Columbia. To reach my goals, I need as much help as possible. My family and friends stand by me and my goals, but moral support is not enough to make my dream come true. I hope that you will reward me your scholarship to help me pay for college, so I can become a teacher and give back to my community. Sincerely, Christen Borgersrode
I’m interested in the teacher cadet program because I feel as if this is one way that I can get some experience in the field of work that I would hope to someday work in and that it will help me know for sure that this is what I want to do. I made up my mind at the age of five that I wanted to be a teacher and for as long as I can remember, that’s what I’ve wanted to do. I love helping people, whether it’s showing them how to do a math problem, or teaching them to tie their shoes. Whenever I was a younger, my favorite thing to do was to line up all of my babydolls and stuffed animals, I even had a whiteboard hanging in my room so that I could write on it and “teach” them things from the old textbooks my 1st grade teacher gave me. I loved being able to “teach” my bear and show him how to do math problems.
I thrive organizing, planning, and dealing with children of all ages, I know that the best way to pursue my dream and passion is to get my Degree in Education from the University of Illinois in Chicago. I know that at this school I will get the best knowledge to help become the teacher that will give the students a bright
I desire to continue my education after graduating from State College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education, possibly majoring in science or history. With a teaching profession, the sky is the limit at what can be achieved. Who knows, I may one day change the life of a little person who grows up just like I did, and discovers that THEY TO CAN HAVE IT ALL! A family and a rewarding career in education.
Becoming a teacher is going to be one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. Teaching was never a childhood dream for me like it was with others. Some people have always known that they wanted to become some type of teacher, but I never decided to until I entered college. I’ve always loved being around children and it makes me feel great to be able to help someone, so becoming a teacher is the perfect career choice for me.
Money, success, and status are the basis of most goals for the youth of today, which you know from all the applications you read for these scholarships. For me though, my goals are geared towards others, especially because I want to go into the field of medicine, a topic dedicated to selflessness and aiding those in need. My interest began when I was first accepted into my prestigious, application based, magnet high school. This school has a dedicated faculty and curriculum oriented towards healthcare allowing me to be exposed to the knowledge and experience that shape a physician.
In the course of my education during college I plan to study at either Cedarville University or Moody Bible institute. At cedarville I plan to study elementary education with an extension of special education. I choose this major because I love working with children especially those who need extra help because it challenges me and my character and also helps the child develop. Also I have been accepted to this school. During my last two years of highschool I have been in a vocational program working with children ages six months to five years of age. This program has challenged me and my teaching skills and has helped me grow as a teacher. We have a pre-school during three days of the week where we plan everything around a theme and them teach
I see the world as my community, and I take responsibility of making the world better than what it was. For me to receive this scholarship it will reduce an educational barrier, this scholarship will make college seem less of a dream and more of a reality. I want to be a blessing to others and by furthering my education I will be equipped with the necessary knowledge to tackle the world. I believe college prepares you for a world that is yet to come and I plan to use the lessons I learned to overcome the corruption in the world.
As one of the recipients of the 2015 Educational Foundation Scholarship recipients, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for the opportunities this scholarship provided for me. I am grateful to receive this scholarship and reap the benefits that this scholarship provided for me and my family. Thanks to the scholarship I received from the Educational Foundation, I was able to spend a successful semester studying Biology and Anthropology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The scholarship helped lift a financial burden of my family because it helped pay for my tuition and housing. Having that financial security allowed me to have an accomplished and well-rounded first semester in college.
...my education at Concord University studying Elementary Education. After graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Education, I plan to get a job as a teacher in an elementary school. I believe that there is a need for compassionate and caring teachers in elementary schools. At such a young age, I believe that it is important for elementary students to have positive role models in their lives. I am very interested in pursuing my Masters Degree at some point, but my main goal is to get out into the school system as a teacher.
I want to become a veterinarian, and it will tough for me to obtain this goal without the help of scholarship. Even if the amount of scholarship is very small, it takes a significant part of my education.
The choices and the opportunities that provided here have motivated and inspired me to pursue higher education. I began to have an ambition, and I began to have a set plan, working step by step to achieve my career goal. My focus as an undergraduate has always been with an eye toward graduate school and a career in International Development field. Aware of the thoroughness of graduate study, I always enrolled in the most challenge courses and courses that were most qualified in my area of interest. With my previous volunteer experiences, I have developed the necessary skills and strengthened my weaknesses, which will strongly enhance my ability and candidacy to pave the way to my career
They say starting a new endeavor is always challenging. In this case, that has proven true. By no means has it been insanely rough, but there was definitely an adjusting period. In the month or so that I have been over there, I have begun to understand their routines, and how their rules work. I have worked in daycare classrooms before, and this was very different, so it took some time. To be honest, I expected something different. I hoped to be in the Primary Center, in one of the Early Childhood Ed classes. I want to go into Early Childhood Education, so I guess it’s only natural to want to start in that age group now. On the other hand, I did not really know what to expect, or what I would be doing in the class. I have to say, I definitely did not expect to be in a special education class.
This is shown since I am going to go to Washburn and am living at home, so I can save as much money as possible. Also by writing the previous essay for this scholarship, it has also made my goals for my future a more prominent subject in my mind, which will help me prioritize my plans. Finally, receiving this scholarship would mean alot to me because it is coming from my home, Seaman High School. I have attended the Seaman district since I was in kindergarten and the school and community have and always will hold a special place in my
It has been my dream to become an elementary school teacher since second grade. I chose to complete my undergraduate degree at The University of Georgia because of their esteemed Early Childhood Education program. At UGA, I worked hard and enjoyed the course work and experience opportunities so much that I finished college in three and a half years rather than the usual four. The next step to build my career as a teacher is to earn a Masters degree from a prestigious graduate school. After completing my undergraduate degrees in my home state, I am ready to explore, branch out, and start new adventures in a new state.
I would be honoured to be given the chance to complete my tertiary studies under the Teach NSW rural scholarship, as I believe that I would be exposed to a positive environment, in which I would enjoy coming to learn. I believe that your scholarship has so much to offer me, but I also believe that I have the potential to offer the public schools education system just as much if given the chance.
