Scholarship Essay My current goal is to maintain my 4.0+ grade point average throughout my high school career, while efficiently balancing that with my current job with Life Patterns. Then, during this upcoming summer I am planning on getting a bank teller job at one of my local banks to further aid my career plans. I have already been accepted to Washburn University and plan on attending in the fall of 2018, but I hope to receive many scholarships to help pay for my college tuition and books. I have never received less than a 4.0 and always take the most challenging courses available to me. Plus, I have already taken quite a few college classes, which shows my dedication to my college career and that I will use the money efficiently. Also, since I am staying in Topeka for college, the money that this scholarship provides to me will be put right back into bettering our local community. This money will help with making my course payments easier, since I have to pay for all of my own college education. I also show that I am an efficient money spender, since I have based my college choices by how much money I can save. This is shown since I am going to go to Washburn and am living at home, so I can save as much money as possible. Also by writing the previous essay for this scholarship, it has also made my goals for my future a more prominent subject in my mind, which will help me prioritize my plans. Finally, receiving this scholarship would mean alot to me because it is coming from my home, Seaman High School. I have attended the Seaman district since I was in kindergarten and the school and community have and always will hold a special place in my
I endeavor to obtain excellence in my academics; I wish to exemplify scholarship by constantly asking the whys and hows of things. I will not let a bad grade define who I am as a student or who I will become. I also want to take the most challenging classes available, not because it will look good on my college application, but because I genuinely love the concept of learning and discovering new things. Education doesn’t end after high school, so I plan to attend university, eager to attain the knowledge to better understand my world: and expand it.
As of right now I only have one B. My completion of 9 college credit hours last semester has given me a head start into my future endeavors. This semester 15 college credit hours, in addition to my high school classes, is what I have challenged myself with academically. My strict personal goals, future career pathway, and my outstanding time management have earned me a 4.0 in my college classes. This scholarship should be received by me because, I am a strong willed individual, who puts my education at a higher standard than anything else. A challenge of taking a total of 24 college credit hours, while still going to High School, while maintaining a part time job on the side, is not something most individuals would consider.
I know that through my hard work and dedication I can make my goals a reality. However, it may not be possible without these Scholarships. While my parents will help me in any way they can, I am hoping that my hard work and dedication to my studies pays off. I am a very self-driven individual who will accomplish any goal I set my mind on achieving. I am also aware of how without scholarships I may face a financial setback. I am hoping that through the help of scholarships I will be able to achieve all my goals in a timely
Getting this scholarship was my jump start to furthering my education and I knew from there that I was going to prove statistics wrong. I knew I was going to college and that things were going to be different for me and I was going to make a difference. I won’t be the black kid who drops out of school, because my education is too important to
“I urge you to continue working hard to prepare for success and to become leaders in our community.” Frederica S. Wilson, a Member of Congress, wrote this in a letter given to me and a few other students after we attended the 5000 Role Models trip to the nation’s capital in 2017. I took this heart and have been preparing for success ever since then. I should be selected for this prestigious scholarship because I would use it to try to be as successful as possible. This scholarship will allow me to pay for college without the fear that comes with taking out loans and will enable me to become part of the first generation in my family’s history to go to college! I will be working towards a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and receiving
I need this scholarship to achieve my goals and most importantly to make my family proud. My family did not get this chance that you are giving me so I am not just doing this for me, I am also doing this for them. I already have all the support from all of my family and all of my friends, but that alone is not enough to conquer my dreams, and to prove all the people that have doubted me that they were wrong. I hope that this organization can help me reach my goals, and to most importantly make them become a reality. I want to look back onto my life and know that this scholarship, and college helped me to be the man I will be. I hope you accept me into your college and most importantly giving me this
...r. With all of the downfalls that I have experienced in my academic and personal life a college education will make it possible for me to continue my journey into becoming a prestigious working corporate lawyer. I have the drive for success and I am certain that with this scholarship I would be able to pay off my debt and help my mother with her own educational goals. I was content that I was able to encourage her to attend school and I am most fortunate to be given an opportunity to help both her and myself obtain our ultimate goals for the near future. Thank You so much for this opportunity to compose this essay to you about my experiences in the academic arena and why I am deserving of this course. I am most deserving of this opportunity and I wish you and your organization much success for endowing me with this opportunity to be a candidate for your scholarship.

I came to Texas Tech with the goal of graduating with a degree in accounting. I always knew accounting would be a good field for me due to my organizational skills and the fact that every industry needs accountants. However, I had no idea what profession or industry I wanted to go into. In my time here at Texas Tech, I have had valuable experiences and have come up with several goals for events that will occur before and after earning my degree. The short-term goals I set in place for myself are to obtain an assurance internship with a Big 4 accounting firm and to get accepted into the MSA program so that I will be eligible to sit for the CPA exam after graduation. My long-term goals consist of earning a full-time position at the firm I intern at,
I choose to challenge myself by taking honors and AP classes. I can overcome obstacles that stand in my way and persevere through tough problems. I participate in school through my involvement in Student Council as an Executive Treasurer, Key Club as an active member, Varsity Tennis, Science Club, Band as Section Leader and National Honor Society. As well as in school, I help out in my community, whether it’s at my church, as a volunteer at the Bitterroot Public Library, or helping to preserve the Daly Mansion. If I am awarded this scholarship, I will use it towards college tuition and I will work hard to pursue my career as an
Over the past years, I knew that the cost of attending a good college was going to place financial stress on me and my family. One of the ways I could help offset those costs were to achieve success in the classroom and on the baseball field. I understand the importance of keeping my GPA as high as possible and having a good ACT score. Volunteering in the community and becoming a strong leader and role model the past four years has been a top priority for me. I hope my experiences and achievements will help qualify me top scholarships. I have also tried to excel in my sport in hopes to qualify for additional scholarships. Once in college, I will be enrolled in work study and intern programs so that I am more marketable when I graduate. I do
No doubt, writing the personal essay could be the toughest section of a scholarship application. However,
A humanitarian is a person promoting human welfare and social reform. In other words, to be a humanitarian is to care about life and help make a change for the betterment of life in general for the general populace or even a specified group that required the help. "The Humanitarian award was created to recognize outstanding individuals who dedicate their time to fighting indifference, intolerance, and injustice." ~Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity. My humanitarian nomination helped and continues to help my family in big ways.
One day, I want to reflect on my younger years and know that I am responsible for something that was done to give me a great start in life. I want to be able to make my family proud of me as well as myself. Even though I may not win this scholarship, I know that I dedicated time and an outstanding exertion to this essay. This award added to my current knowledge and skill level, will result in me wanting to improve my skill level even more. This would evoke a sense of pride and confidence that I sometimes lack.
