Through all that I have acquired, I believe Elementary Education is my true calling. My desire to pursue Education, specifically Elementary education came from a discovery of myself. As a college student you look for opportunities to gain knowledge and make a little extra cash on the side. When I took the opportunity to take a job for an after school elementary program called Bricks 4 Kidz, I never thought It would change my views on my major the way it did. I went into college with a mind set on Business Management thinking that was my true calling, but when I experienced how it feels to work with kids and how much I really enjoy it I started rethinking my major. When a student of mine grabbed my leg and begged me to not leave because he wanted me to stay and keep teaching was the moment I knew I was doing something right with my life and that Education was the perfect path for me.

I believe the role of the paraprofessional is to be the assistant for the teacher and provide assistance to the students. I believe the community plays a major role in education, especially the parents and guardians. They are a part of their child 's education and provide support for them when they need it most. Education is not going away anytime soon, so we need to look at what education

After graduating college it is time to hit the real world, so it’s time to begin of what I want to do for a living. The career I’m striving to achieve is to become an elementary teacher or middle school teacher. Becoming a teacher would be fantastic, it’s a job I know I would enjoy and I’m passionate about. Being able to help young students learn new things every day would be amazing, knowing that in elementary years it is the foundation of a student’s education. Teaching in general and watching people through the process of learning the is the main reason I’m seeking a career as a teacher.
One of the greatest things about continuing to get a degree in education is the feeling that I will be able to help little kids learn and strive in live. As a paraprofessional, I love this feeling. There is nothing in life like the smile on a kids face when they have figured how to do something that they have worked hard to understand. I am looking forward to getting a degree in education so I can experience this great

It’s funny how quickly time flies by it seems like just yesterday I was complaining about writing the first part of this assignment. Looking back at it now, the reasons why I want to become a teacher remain the same. I want to inspire, shape, encourage, and mentor my students. I want to make the kind of impact on each and every single one of them that they will carry on for the rest of their lives. Whether it be simply believing in them, and telling them that I know they are capable of accomplishing anything they want to, or helping them through a tough time. My desire to become a teacher has increased tremendously the past 16 weeks, and I am so eager and excited to finish my education to begin my teaching career.
I am choosing to study the Career Field of Elementary education. (Teaching) I have been interested in teaching for a long time because I have always been around teachers and they talk about the joy of helping children learn and grow in their education. This particular career field interest me because of how I love to learn new things. I believe elementary education is the perfect fit for me, and I truly believe that this decision will make me the happiest in life. My professional life, should also be something that makes me happy, and becoming a teacher in elementary education, will help me to accomplish my dreams. Most people would not be willing to hire a 16 year old to be in charge of a big group of children. That is why this job was such a large achievement for me. This job has allowed me to create my future goals, and I can not wait to continue to pursue them.
Through my own experiences, and as enforced by others' opinions in the profession, I have found that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Not only are you placed in the position of instructing and guiding children and young adults through the life long learning process, but you are able to give back to the schools and communities which have supported your early education and experiences that opened you up to a bright future. In becoming an educator, I hope to someday share the knowledge and lend the helping, supportive hand that I was once given, allowing students to formulate their own perspectives of the multicultural society and world around them. Teaching is a career I have been interested in pursuing throughout high school, and as my experiences and study in the field expands, I feel that my desire to teach will grow stronger and develop more soundly.
After deciding on the education field, I then felt the need to choose a major. I chose elementary education because I felt it would allow me to teach a wider variety of subjects to my students. I have always had a love for knowledge, and for children. I feel that the children of today truly are the future of tomorrow, and the creators of what is to come. Children are all too often overlooked in today’s society.
My main purpose of achieving a degree may seem main stream, but who doesn’t want to take a step to bettering their self’s. No matter how much I get paid when I achieve my bachelors I will be happy with what I am doing, and to me that is the main purpose of pursuing a degree to become what you enjoy doing the most in life. I just happen to love helping the next generation as they become older and accomplish their own goals so that in the future they will be the ones getting a college degree and to me the first step that we all took in education was elementary school. No matter how under paid or how under recognized teachers go I will always think that I am serving a higher purpose when I teach the little ones their
I chose to major in elementary education because of my love for children . I enjoy working with children, I feel that they have an entirely different way of looking at the world. I want to make a difference in the lives of children. I want to improve their lives, but at the same time make it fun and interesting instead of dull and tedious. Children naturally have a short attention span. I have worked in an elementary school for four years, and I have learned that to keep children entertained but at the same time teaching them.
