After graduating college it is time to hit the real world, so it’s time to begin of what I want to do for a living. The career I’m striving to achieve is to become an elementary teacher or middle school teacher. Becoming a teacher would be fantastic, it’s a job I know I would enjoy and I’m passionate about. Being able to help young students learn new things every day would be amazing, knowing that in elementary years it is the foundation of a student’s education. Teaching in general and watching people through the process of learning the is the main reason I’m seeking a career as a teacher. Since the age of five learning was something I enjoyed doing, but a lot of subjects came easy to me, like math. From a young age, I would help my peers …show more content…
Two of the jobs were in the Porterville Unified School District and the other was in Farmersville Unified School District. One of the details of the job description that was eye oping was the salary compared from PUSD to FUSD. PUSD pays teacher well, starting out at about 49,000 dollars and increasing over time. Out of the three jobs, if I had to choose I would go with the 5th grade position at PUSD. PUSD has a good starting salary and 5th grade is the ideal grade for me. 5th grader are not so old that they are disrespectful and they are young enough to behave and listen better than younger kids. Growing up from Porterville and going throught all my education through PUSD, it would be a great if I ended up teaching at a school I once …show more content…
Its location was 2500 Almaden Street in Tulare. To start of all the of the three houses were surrounded with good neighborhoods, so that wasn’t really a deciding factor. The structure of the house I liked better than the other two. One was too plain looking, and the other I saw was trying to do much with the front porch well, the one I choose had a small and simple porch. Personally, with a house I wanted a good size back yard. And really none of the houses had big backyards so that was a small attribute about all the houses I didn’t like. Then I calculated the payment for the third house I choose and it came out to be about 980 dollars a month. One of the houses had a cheaper payment but the houses only had 1.75 bathrooms, compared to the other two which were priced higher yet had two complete bathrooms. The house payment and total felt reasonable and affordable. Yes is does seem high but with the hope working at PUSD which pays more than other surrounding school districts it seems attainable. Knowing I’m not going to have any kids soon and have in mind to marry someone that has to have a stable job, and actually wants to have a career being a teacher it makes the payment and possible of paying off the
I plan to never stop learning. I feel I have a thrust for knowledge that can never be quenched. I plan to graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. Upon completing that degree I plan to share the wealth of knowledge I have attained. I plan to start teaching in or around the Appalachian area. I would like to stay in West Virginia, but for reason unknown I would be prepared to move to western Virginia, eastern Kentucky, or northern North Carolina. I then plan to enroll in graduate school to receive my masters, and then I wish to complete my education with a doctoral degree. I wish that one-day to help inspire the future teachers of America or the world.
Elementary School teacher, a professional educator for grades k-5, is a career I wish to pursue because I want to teach children the building blocks of education, love the energy and excitement that younger children give off, and want to be able to help children with special challenges. I have wanted to be an elementary school teacher for about three years now, I knew I wanted to pursue this occupation because there are many benefits to being an educator, and have always worked with children well. Some challenges are I will have to get a bachelor 's degree and have to complete a state licensing exam (“preparation 1”)
The education system has been changing in recent years and the same problems that existed continue to get worse as years pass. Problems that were seen as minor at first have now grown. How to change the public higher education system has been a major topic of discussion but there has still been no major action taken. We struggle to figure out how much funding is needed for higher education and where it should come from. Our people continue to suffer from an underfunded high cost system. The wealthy minority of people continue to be the only ones accounted for and it is time to change this. We need to adapt to the changes and the costs that continue to rise. It is time to help the struggling middle and lower classes. I believe that the best
“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him” (G.K. Chesterton). A soldier is a soldier no matter what. If they fight behind a screen, on the front line, or from a controller as long as they’re protecting this country, the people in it, and the people fighting for it they are honorable. Some think that because one does their fighting from a remote control drone means that they have no understanding of war, and in some ways that is true, but they are still taking someone’s life when they choose to press that button just like the solders on the front line takes someone’s life when they pull the trigger. Both people are fighting the same fight: they love the country they are defending the people in it they just do it from different standpoints. Drones
Khristina Janer, a mother from Illinois, says, “I don’t feel like a parent. I feel like a drill sergeant!” when making her kids finish their homework after an extended period of time (Wallace). Many studies show the effectiveness of homework and all of the benefits it can do for us; the problem is: teachers are making kids do too much homework when they get home from school. The teachers don’t take in the environmental factors that could be harming any student 's ability to get a task done. Teachers automatically believe that kids are irresponsible or unmotivated when they don’t succeed in finishing their homework. When kids are given this much, or this difficult of, homework, sleep is being sacrificed. Even when they are doing all of their
I desire to continue my education after graduating from State College with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, pursuing a master’s degree in elementary education, possibly majoring in science or history. With a teaching profession, the sky is the limit at what can be achieved. Who knows, I may one day change the life of a little person who grows up just like I did, and discovers that THEY TO CAN HAVE IT ALL! A family and a rewarding career in education.
It’s 6 am, Monday morning,I have to get ready for school with this alarm screaming in my
Education is a huge topic of controversy, society is always trying to reform what we know as education today. Right now, the first 12 years of education are entirely free for students directly, but in the end are paid for by the taxpayers of the town. The question is, why should only grades k-12 be free why not a college education too? On the other hand, there are some exceptions to free schooling at the k-12 levels. The most prominent being, Private schooling, most towns in the United States have at least one if not many private schools. They require a certain amount in tuition for each of its students every year. An example of this, in my town Salem, NH one of the most known private catholic schools is St. Joseph 's. I had a good friend a few years back
Now that middle school is coming to a great end I thought I would write about it. I didn’t think middle school was going to be as easy as it actually is. My 5th grade teacher always said it was going to harder than elementary school but it’s not in my opinion.
As an education major at State College, I’ve decided to become a teacher for several reasons. As I progressed through elementary, middle, and high school, many of my teachers were great role models for me. This has inspired me to become a role model for someone in the near future. My love for science and math has also influenced my desire to teach and make a difference in a child’s life. I want to teach students the subjects that I love so much. I want the feeling that I helped a child accomplish or learn something they couldn’t understand. One of the main reasons I want to become an educator is because I feel education has really lost teachers who truly love teaching and those who truly love teaching and those who have the desire to make a difference. I feel I can really help make a difference in the education world and bring back the love to teach.
Becoming a teacher was not something I always knew I wanted. As I approached an age where I really started considering what I would like to do for a career I only knew that I did not want to work in an office behind a desk all day. I wanted a job that would be interactive, challenging and exciting. I also knew I wanted a job that would be important and would somehow contribute to the world in an important way. I thought being a teacher; particularly a teacher in the primary levels would fulfill those hopes and goals assuming I dedicate myself to becoming an effective teacher who has a positive influence on the lives of my students.
... After graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Education, I plan to get a job as a teacher in an elementary school. I believe that there is a need for compassionate and caring teachers in elementary schools. At such a young age, I believe that it is important for elementary students to have positive role models in their lives.
I should receive a passing grade in this class because I can write now. Not just an exaggeration, but after another semester of English I finally feel confident that can write. Three of the reasons behind my confidence is I learned, I experienced and best of all I repeated. These three values helped prepare me for what is in store in English 1302 and here is why.
Through my own experiences, and as enforced by others' opinions in the profession, I have found that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Not only are you placed in the position of instructing and guiding children and young adults through the life long learning process, but you are able to give back to the schools and communities which have supported your early education and experiences that opened you up to a bright future. In becoming an educator, I hope to someday share the knowledge and lend the helping, supportive hand that I was once given, allowing students to formulate their own perspectives of the multicultural society and world around them. Teaching is a career I have been interested in pursuing throughout high school, and as my experiences and study in the field expands, I feel that my desire to teach will grow stronger and develop more soundly.
Education is meant to be the key to a successful life. It is supposed to inspire great ideas, and prepare each and every generation for their future. However, school for today 's generation fails to meet those requirements. Every student knows education is important, but when school is not engaging or in some cases, even relevant, it makes learning difficult. Improving the school system is something educators attempt to accomplish every year. Despite their best efforts, there are numerous flaws students see, but adults overlook. There is a lack of diversity for students to learn, an overabundance of testing, and students’ voices are being ignored on how to create a more productive learning experience.
