Out of many instances, I would like to share the latest experience. I worked in an MNC a few months ago where all of my colleagues were nice to me. My performance was quite appreciable but my supervisor never thought of it also I used to feel a vibe of discrimination only from him. I

During my college days I was assigned a group project and as a leader of it I was expected to motivate and influence them to achieve our goal but due to lack of knowledge of leadership, it proved to be a bad example of leadership. I faced many expected challenges as during the project I was not aware of certain concepts and theories of a good leader. But now my current awareness of leadership and management has changed the way I used to see any leader and practice leadership myself. If I had been aware of the traits of a leader in detail before then it would have been a different outcome of my past leadership experience. I have realized that leadership is an indirect sign of power and everyone wants to be powerful. And in the 21st century it is nearly impossible to make someone work by force or by dictatorship (exclude certain exceptions). My learning about the leadership and its relation to effective management states that there is a very thin line between a leader and a manager and the owner of a business must be flexible between them for a successful business. My current knowledge about leadership will help me to become a charismatic and influential person to make a difference to the world, an impact on others life which is my main goal in life. Managing and leadership are related to each other. Leadership is one of the important qualities of a good manager and there are many styles of leadership a manager can use depending upon the members of the team/group, their work efficiency, the demand of the situation
Leadership at times can be a complex topic to delve into and may appear to be a simple and graspable concept for a certain few. Leadership skills are not simply acquired through position, seniority, pay scale, or the amount of titles an individual holds but is a characteristic acquired or is an innate trait for the fortunate few who possess it. Leadership can be misconstrued with management; a manager “manages” the daily operations of a company’s work while a leader envisions, influences, and empowers the individuals around them.
‘Leadership’ and ‘Management’ are two commonly using words in nowadays organizations. The essential and integral part of productive management is leadership. Effective leadership is crucial to an organization’s success. Leaders can take a quantity of different steps to help keep projects from failing. The main and highly important focus of the leader is to make things happen. According to Griffin (2008), ‘Leadership, as a process, the use of non coercive influence to shape the group’s or organization’s goals, motivate behaviour toward the achievement of those goals, and help define group or organizational culture; as a property, the set of characteristics attributed to individuals who are perceived to be leaders’. Equally as management, that
Leadership is being able to direct or guide other people by either your own actions or by actually guiding them into the right direction (Acumen). Inspiration to be a leader might come from many different areas like your family, friends, peers, or even teachers. My inspiration didn’t really occur to me until I started attending college in August 2013. In all actuality I never even thought of how to be a leader until I was in Mrs. Moore’s Perspectives class. I now have a desire to be a great leader, and the inspiration has come from Mrs. Moore, and my family. I am the first to attend college out of my family, so in a away I have already started leading my siblings in the right direction. Being a leader means inspiring others to pursue their dreams, and aspirations and helping throughout the journey to success. Being a leader has nothing with authority or being able to tell other what, and how to do things, it’s about having people who look up to you and want to follow your example.
Presently many of us have learned that managers are primarily administrators who have learned to write business plans, utilize their resources and keep track of progress. We must learn that we are not limited by job title, and that means we can utilize our management skills in any position that we are in. We must also know that we can use our leadership skills in the same situations. On the other hand we have also learned that leaders are people who have an impact on those that surround them. The main difference that separates these two roles is that management is a function that must be utilized in any type of business, and leadership is the relationship that the leader has with his followers, which in turn can motivate and energize the organization.
Leadership is all about having the right amount of heart and determination to help make a difference in someone’s life. It takes certain qualities to be considered a good leader. A leader should want to help inspire others to make a change and to be the best that they can be. A true leader does not need to feel powerful, instead they empower those around them. Throughout my life I have come across various leaders who have made an impact on my life. It takes a very special person to inspire and touch people’s lives. Leadership is so much deeper than having power and bossing people around.
This paper aims to study the causes and consequences of a poor organisational culture in a nonspecific company alluding to the related theories studied at class such as organisational culture, leadership roles, job satisfaction etc. and finally propose and contrast possible solutions to solve this management problem in order to determine the solution that best suits the case study.
Organisational behaviour is an observed interaction between internal and external individuals to produce success or failure in an organisation. For Example, McDonald’s staff i.e. Counter employees, spend the most time with consumers. Their presence as ‘front of house’ representing the company’s behaviour in the role of ambassador as well as food-server and cashier. Subsequently, if a negative behavioural experience is presented by them such as shouting at, or perceived to verbally abuse a customer in one of the ‘30,000 McDonald’s restaurants’ it could result in a loss of returning customers. This would imply the action of an individual could have devastating impact on the organisation unless its protocols are effective, robust, well defined
A DISCUSSION ON HOW LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOUR MAY AFFECT THE MOTIVATION OF INDIVIDUALS WITHIN AN ORGANIZATION.
Leadership is trait that is extremely important in any society. Leadership is known as the way people attempting to make a difference in a situation. However, I believe that it is better said to be a way of influencing others actions. Leadership is usually connected to a great leader that affected his or her followers in a dynamic way. Throughout the semester for my leadership class, I have expanded the knowledge in numerous ways. I now have fully understanding of the purpose and process of leadership to a society. Being a leader one must maintain an image of being the role model. I believe that this is leader should be who is someone who has the ability to influence, encourage, listen, and nurture. They are able to inspire, stimulate, persuade, shape, and have an effect on others.
The following paper required the assessment of answers that were chosen to questions asked by Prentice Hall’s Self-Assessment Online Library. For each given part of the questionnaire, the knowledge that was obtained while doing so was thoroughly evaluated. The information that is discussed was then applied to the workplace. Behaviors and interactions with others were focused on in the explanation of the roles that such awareness would contribute to in becoming a better employee and co-worker. These sections were then applied to what was learned about myself along with what knowledge advancement I gained on the topic of organizational behavior. “The Gospel and Personal Reflection” was the final concentration of this report. The transformation that the Holy Spirit has had on my weaknesses was explained in reference to the named article. Ironically, much was to be learned in furthering the understanding that I thought I had of my own personality. Very good

Leadership and management are two fundamental concepts which are involved in the effective management of organizations. Leadership in my opinion is a complex concept, which includes association of human qualities and the result of their activities. To be a great leader means not only following own visions, but also work towards company’s goals.

Organizational behavior is merely the study of individuals, structures and groups’ impacts on human behavior, within a progressing organization. As an organizational being, I learned that organizational behavior is an interdisciplinary field which includes psychology, sociology, management and communication. During the lesson, it remained clear that organizational behavior supplements organizational theory, which concentrates on intra-organizational topics and supplements studies related to human resource. It is through the study of organizational behavior that I gained different multiple perspectives and insights about how organizations behave. In addition, I learned that computer simulation is one of the prominent concepts in strategic management and organizational studies. The Book clearly revealed that scholars utilize computer simulation in the process of understanding how firms and organizations operate and behave (Kinicki & Fugate, 2012).
