As a future manager, I feel so excited that I can learn from this course, it not only provides how to analyze different types of problems in real life, but also teaches how to organize people themselves, make thought learning I know people’s behavior depended by intrinsic factor (environmental forces, behavioral consequences) and extrinsic factor (feelings, past experiences and needs) whatever is it, these are decisive factors researching and investing people behavior, and also Interdisciplinary affects on Organizational Behavior, there are Psychology, Sociology, Medicine, Management, Engineering and Anthropology relevant factors relating on it. For example, when I am in a presentation, I can observe the speaker if he or she tries to remember his or her article, his or her eyes will be watching somewhere as there is a article, what I learn is that How I can avoid this action. In addition, I think OB helps me to become a better communicator, studying this subject such as Topic Personality and Perception, Group work and Team and Communication can help me fine tune my interpersonal communication skills with analyzing their emotion, language, and body language, and the most important thing in conversation is body language, which shows people’s interest and attention, during the meeting time, I always watch people ‘s eyes, I show my concentration on it, and people will show the same reaction, which can make our conversation better. The intention of this written essay is to demonstrate an understanding of my views on reflection and the issues surrounding reflective practice. It is based on nursing skills that I used during my practice placement, most importantly reflecting on the professional value of privacy and dignity.

This week at my internship I joined a majority of the staff attending a training called Bridges Out of Poverty and Effectively Living and Working within a Diverse World. The training also had an emphasis on ending sexual and domestic violence. It was a great training that lasted two days and was presented by Jodi Pfarr of Minneapolis, MN. She was an excellent speaker who held my attention the whole time. She also had the participants split into groups and discuss, which allowed me to hear about real-life experiences and hear from people of other counties. In evaluating myself this week, I would say that I did well. I was on time for the meetings and presented myself in a professional manner.
Leadership has never been something on the forefront of my mind when thinking about social work. For me, it’s been an interesting concept to think about in a meaningful way, and how to connect leadership and social work in my current role as an employee and as a graduate student. While I am not inclined to think of myself as a leader, nor do I necessarily strive to be one, looking at social work from this new perspective gives me the chance to grow as a student and as a practitioner in my current position and beyond.
The term reflection means the examination of personal thoughts and actions. For nurses this means focusing on how they interact with their colleagues and with the environment to obtain a clearer picture of their own behaviour. This means it is a process in which a nurse can better understand themselves in order to be able to build on existing strengths and take appropriate future action (Somerville, 2004). Reflection is a way to bring your own intuition along with empirical knowledge together. Reflective practice in nursing is guided by models of reflection. Reflective practice model serves as a framework within which nursing or other management professions can work. Reflective practice model is also a structural framework or learning model that serves the purposes of a profession and is particularly applicable to health related professions. Reflective practice enables practitioners to learn to value themselves as significant people with values and feelings that are important factors in giving care. Whilst reflective practice allows the nurse to recognise the value of their experiences, they may also need support to work through a difficult situation. This is where reflection aids nurses in dealing with these challenging experiences (Johns, 1995). Reflection on experience offers nurses the opportunity to reflect on caring in practice in ways that its nature can be understood, where the skills necessary for effective caring can be developed and most significantly, where the values of caring for people can be highlighted, both to the individual nurse and the world in general (Johns 1996)

After understanding the theory behind both the trait and skill approach, I was eager to evaluate and reflect on my own leadership traits. It was interesting to see how the trait approach allowed me to better understand whether or not I have certain traits considered to be important for leadership, while skills approach allowed me to evaluate my strengths and weaknesses in the technical, human and conceptual skills. From completing the Leadership Trait Questionnaire (LTQ) and the Skills Inventory, I was able to reflect more on how I behave towards others in a leadership context, as well as the skills that I currently possess. As a naturally extroverted person, I have been taking on leadership roles from a young age. The findings from these two
In addition to recognizing the importance of work-life balance, the program also helped me nurture skills that are crucial in the promotion of an effective balance between work and other aspects of life. As I was going through the program, I was able to balance my commitments in the program with my personal life. This helped me to reduce stress and so I approached my responsibilities positively and with great energy. Furthermore, valuable tips on how to maintain proper work-life balance including the need to exercise and meditate, not to seek perfectionism, to always have a schedule and adhere to it, and ensure I stay healthy.
I had thought thousands of times what I might say when I doing the presentation, but I never think I would do presentation one day. And even with a team, which I never thought before. I always heard people in a team use words like “we are a team” or “Teamwork! Teamwork! Teamwork!” to encourage each other. So in my opinion teamwork is easy as saying these words and within a team everything would goes well, however, it is not really. Through two group projects in this class, work in a team is far more an easy thing as I thought before.
Effectively listening not only helps me to understand others but has allowed me to give appropriate feedback when needed. To listen is critical because there are certain instructions a supervisor may be delivering verbally and to be a good employee to understand what is being said helps improve performance as a worker. Effective listening in the work place has also allowed me to learn how to maintain eye contact while speaking to the employer or a co-worker. In all aspects eye contact is a way to show the speaker that my attention is focused on what he or she is saying and having an understanding of the context. According Joseph A. I’ve learned so much through this course. This course helped me learn behavior and people around me. Now I can see how it is hard for the people to live with their disorders. The society treats those people like outcasts and most of them even laugh at their disorder. Every behavior can be explained by psychology.
