Whole Foods has a few moral principles from The Magnificent Seven chart that they seem to abide by. Starting with the most relevant, I believe Whole Foods follows the principle of the common good. It seems they try to keep all players in the company, from the bottom to the top of the totem pole, happy. Fairness I believe also plays a large role in their values due to the fact they believe if employees are happy which makes customers happy and will in return cause stakeholders to be happy. They believe in a fair system where it is a win-win situation for all involved. The last one that I believe fits into their moral compass is autonomy with their employees which goes in hand with McGregor’s Theory Y principle of having self-worth and
being able to use your imagination which adds value to a company with the potential every employee harnesses. Matthew Holt, Bradley Lang, and Steve Sutton all did a study on workers and had many variables, in the conclusion they found that employees who were actively monitored through their workday have dissatisfaction and lowered the moral perception of the company (Holt, Lang, & Sutton, 2017). A few, however, would not mind the idea of being monitored if their pay increases due to losing their privacy (Holt, Lang, & Sutton, 2017). Whole Foods Market allows each market to supply products that are standardized, and also supply products based on local buyer needs, as well as the culture of the area; therefore their business strategy is transnational (Thompson, 2016, p. 192). Whole Foods Market varies their products based on location, focusing on local products and any unique products to promote a neighborhood market feel for their customers. The company strategically chooses its locations, placing them in educated areas, and then focuses on products to sustain a competitive advantage.

I believe that every company should encourage a relationship of trust, loyalty, honesty, and responsibility among staff members at all levels. It’s important that each staff member works together to achieve excellence in a business, so the code of conduct is put in place. The purpose of the code is to provide guidance and set common ethical standards for employees from the top of the food chain to the bottom of the food chain. Some of the areas that I find to be significant of importance in a business are sexual harassment, discrimination and simply being professional in a work environment.
One has to work hard to consider their values in particular issues and how strongly they feel. This is the choice many people make when they invest in mutual funds, and have no idea where their mutual funds are invested. Many vocal opponents to shopping at Wal-Mart might discover they hold investments in the Wal-Mart. There are 1050 mutual funds that are invested in Wal-Mart, some of the largest mutual funds in the world. There are many people who have no idea where their investments lie. If you want to be true to your value against shopping at Wal-Mart, you need to be careful to remove yourself from investments that support Wal-Mart. You have to review your investments and find out where your money is invested.
Compare your shopping experiences at retailers like Costco, Nordstrom, or Whole Foods with experiences you may have had at Walmart, Sears, or Kroger.
They seem to be a company that enjoys their employee’s success. It is a great reflection on the company that so many people seem to enjoy their position at Whole Foods and feel like that are making a positive impact on both Whole Foods and the customers. Any company that focuses on self-motivation is going to be a winning company. This helps them build dedication and loyalty to their brand by giving those who work the hardest the most opportunities. Developing an organization is usually determined during the initial start up and can be changed due to changing environment demands. Whole Foods Market is a dynamic leader in the quality food business. We are a mission-driven company that aims to set the standards of excellence for food retailers. However, in some instances we are confronted with a morally problematic situation in which it is difficult to distinguish the morally correct solution. For example, we'll consider the morally problematic situation faced by the Smith's. The Smith family is like any average, American, middle-class family of Catholic faith. One night Jim, the Smith's eldest son who had jus graduated from college, went out to a bar for a friend's birthday. Later, in the morning hours, Jim decides that he should go home. Wal-Mart 32nd St. ethical business practices follow Wal-Mart Inc. Corporation Business policies and practices. The retail store seems to have a nice working environment according to some associates that work for Wal-Mart 32nd St. Every Wal-Mart kind of creates their own corportate culture based on the manager leadership skills, some are better than others ones. There has been no discrimination cases against employees in Wal-Mart 32nd St.or any othe type of problems with the working environment and the employees. The manager mentioned that he ensures that all employees take their appropriate brakes while working, and none employee is forced to work on their lunch brakes, like how we have heard in other Wal-Mart. The ethical environment of Wal-Mart 32nd St. seems to be fair, and there is no concerns about any other issues. Something that I definitely disagree with Wal-Mart is the pay rate for the sales associates and cashiers, because they are the ones that receives the minimum and lowest pay rate. I believe they deserve to be pay better because working in such a fast pace environment can be exhausted for the employees, and

This challenge is built to improve the world. Many organizations are not built off of loyalty. Often times people put in years of experience yet to be laid off or fired as a part of budget and staff cuts. I have seen companies only find terminations as a result to solve a budget crisis. So, loyalty is a valuable moral principle that appear to be in force at Whole Food.
