We are required to attempt or challenge something new many times in our living, but it usually gets us afraid to do it. The reason why we get afraid is because of the possibilities of failing, and we are subject to overcome those fear for success. For example, skateboard is known as a fun sport, but also a scary sport in general.
Skateboarders always try to learn new tricks to improve their skills, or try to film cool videos. However, they can get hurt in order to do tricks that they haven’t done before. Therefore, attempts to land their new tricks can intimitate skaters badly. Some of skaters grind on a rail which is clearly scary, and if they fail, it can cause a huge injury. Doing tricks off the stairs is also one of the scary things to do on a skateboard, especially when they haven’t done before. When I endeavoured to ollie off some stairs, I was swallowed by fear, and I was trembling like a leaf. Other skaters get

It is really risky because if they don’t succeed well, they will get no job and no earnings because they already resigned their jobs. This is why people are afraid to establish their own company. Although, some people think it’s worth it because if you succeed, you’ll earn much quite much, it is too risky to try it. My father established a company when I was 12 years old, and I am strongly proud of him. Although, he succeeded well, he was objected by my mother. He even had much earning before he established it, and it is not guaranteed that he can earn as much as he used to or more. He must have been scared a lot, but he still decided to do it because he was confident more than being afraid. He overcame the fear and tried it, and it ended up with a big success. Almost all the people who established a company even though they had their occupation have defeated their fear for making their dreams true, and I am very proud of
Most scooters are younger kids. Do you see more 4 year olds running around on a skateboard or on a razor scooter? That's because you just hop and go on a scooter. They are young, lack tendency for a sustain skatepark effort (Skatepark Development Guide). They are causing accidents or jumping in the way.
Sports show how athletic a person is or how well they at doing a certain thing. If you're good at running then you could do track. But some sports may require a lot of skill, such as hockey. Hockey is a sport that you play on the ice with ice skates. You play 82 games plus playoffs, and multiple games per week To play hockey you need to know the basics, know the rules, and how difficult it can be.
People can brake a bone walking down the street, hockey is not any different. In youth
Imagine being on the top of the world, on a bitter cold mountain, over top of an enormous crowd. Below where you stand, the lustrous lights are shining on a massive jump, that seems larger than the mountain itself, created for the professional snowboard competition. This gargantuan jump will decide whether you win or lose the competition. Becoming a professional snowboarder has been a dream to me ever since I first was beginning to snowboard. Being on top of the enormous slope and strapping into my bindings instantly made me relaxed and put a grin larger than the slope itself on my face. Everytime I glide down the face of the mountain I become focused and dialed in on my riding. When becoming a professional snowboarder as an occupation, I would
A few winters ago, some friends invited my family and me to go snow skiing at Paoli Peaks, Indiana. I did not know how to snow ski, and I leaped at the thought of trying this new sport. On the first morning we entered the pro shop to rent all the gear and make decisions about whether or not to take lessons or go it alone. We decided to be adventurous and go it alone—no lessons. Kent and Celeste, the friends who invited us, knew how to ski and snowboard. He assured us that he could show us the basics, and we would be on our way down the slopes. All of us, after a few minutes learning how to wedge our skis started down the family trail. Although the family trail had smaller hills and appeared safe, to me it seemed way
When I go to a gymnastics meet and do really good, so I get that 1st place medal or trophy. It feels amazing, I mean the sport gymnastics is competitive and I sure do love competitive sports. The competitiveness gets you that rush of excitement. You feel nervous, but excited to get in there and try your hardest. Kids make better choices and have committed when they have the drawbacks of participating in competitive youth sports.
“Hopefully, kids realize you can do anything you want. Skateboarding can be that gateway.” - Ryan Sheckler. Sheckler meant that skateboarding is more than a sport, skateboarding is way of life and it can take people wherever they want to go. The culture of skateboarding has been taking over the world because anyone can do it no matter what their background, ethnicity, or body shape. This way of life is art form that is expressed through style and maneuvers on a piece of wood with wheels. Skateboarding has become one of the most popular extreme sports in the past few decades. In 2009 there was an estimated 9,281,500 skateboarders in the United States and that number continues to grow each year (“Who Are Skateboarders”). Why then are skateboarders
Over the course of time. Street racing has been allowed in the main streets or highways with minimal surveillance or any consequences at all. It almost seemed like no one was taking action in what escalated into a huge problem this year of 2017. Luckily there is various ways to help minimize the negative affects it's having in these communities. A solution to what continues to concern many can be treated as a crime. As humans we know what's right from wrong and people tend to avoid situations that can be considered a crime. The seriousness of the consequences is what everyone fears, no one wants to have a bad record, they want to be “clean.”Another way this rebellious act can continue to decrease is by having strict life changing consequences, example if you get caught street racing then you will be charged with a conviction similar to a Dui.
I don’t remember the exact time when I was first introduced to skateboarding, it was probably around 6th or 7th grade. I remember my “skater” phase well (face palm). Anyway, fast forward a few years and I’m off to college. I was at Auburn University. The campus has lots of hills and slopes, very rough on the shoes. One of my friends, who also rode boards, would let me borrow one of his boards to ride around sometimes, and he would try to teach me how to control the board better. One day, he came to the student center where people often hung out to do work and whatnot with a new board he just bought. He got it from Goodwill, practically new, and since he had a lot of other different boards, he let me have that one. I was pretty psyched, I wanted
I remember my father always telling me that in order to appreciate and value the things you have you have to work for them yourself. I think the same holds true for business ventures. Having a personal interest and a personal bank account on line drives one to succeed possibly all the more than k working for a set paycheck.
Fear comes in many forms, there is fear of embarrassment, failure, and injury. These are the three main fears that keep people from achieving their dreams. I say go for it, if you want to do something don’t let fear get in your way. Follow your dreams, make them come true. If you spend your life living in fear, you won’t accomplish anything, because to achieve your highest goals you must take risks. For example there are some ...
Confucius once said, "he who does not do well is less guilty than he who pushes too hard." People found that competitive sports are often physically straining and it is detrimental to proper emotional development. This blows away the misconception that competitive sports create a healthy and engaging atmosphere for kids. This and an overly strong obsession with winning create a toxic mix for the child’s wellbeing. People have begun to realize the world of competitive may be doing more harm than good for their children. Parents have also begun to notice that competitive sports often injure their children severely and also make the child feel left out, which in turn is detrimental to the child 's emotional health. Therefore, competitive sports
What's more, skating is a kind of aerobic exercise which means that we burn up the fat instead of water and sugar after exercising. It is said that people usually roller skating whose muscles cover in waist and legs will be bestow sufficient nutrition. Additionally, stimulating on two halves of the brain simultaneous is another characteristic of skating, and evidence bears out the ideas that backwards skating is beneficial to the development of right brain. Not only that, all of which including central nervous system, circulatory system and respiratory system will strengthen due to skating by which will facilitate the development of all parts of our bodies. People can eliminate their stress and tension through rolling skating in order to relax themselves, therefore, easier to fall
Many people would argue that skateboarding is a destructive and vandalistic way of life, though many people don’t realize that it is one of the only lifestyles that does not discriminate against race, age, political views, the amount of money somebody makes, or the clothes somebody wears. Skateboarding is also positive, because ultimately it makes you more creative. Some places have metal clamps attached to ledges or rails, also known as “skate-stoppers” to stop skateboarders from grinding or sliding on the area. Though it is intended to stop skaters, it just makes them approach the ledge or rail in a different way so that they can use the skate-stoppers for
Bill Bryson’s A Walk in the Woods will make you laugh and think. It gives an interesting perspective on life when Bryson and his friend Stephen Katz, head out for a hike on the 2,200 mile long Appalachian trail. He takes you through all of his experiences, ranging from dealing with over-talkative hikers to loud noises and glowing eyes in the night. It gives you a chance to realize how hectic our lives are and that if we just take a step back life can really be quite simple. Bryson and Katz’s journey down the trail will open your eyes to many new things you never would have thought about and give you an urge to find a trail near you (maybe not a 2,200 mile trail though).
