It relates to our basic values that dictates the choices we make in life. It is considered that identity formation is a means of finding oneself, by matching one’s talent with available social roles. Crisis is a vital part in one’s development. It occurs in every stage of finding one’s self and without resolution, may lead to tension and role confusion. Dedicated and influential theorists such as Erik Erikson and James Marcia have contributed significantly to the broadening and understanding
It is really important to be aware of our feeling and response pattern. After identifying them I will acknowledge my positive and negative attitudes and I will work on them accordingly which will help me to cope with the situation. For example, in a crisis situation if I know that my feeling like fear can affect negatively on the situation, I will make sure that I am coping with my feelings and I will find the best way to respond so that I can support the client to get out of the crisis situation for the sake of my safety and client’s

They may not carry these physical things all of the time, but these staple items are with more than they’re not. The become a part of the person’s identity. Academic success is becoming increasingly important in today’s society because most occupations now require a degree of some kind before a job applicant will even be considered. For that reason, academic performance has a considerable impact on a student’s life and whether or not he or she is able to accomplish future career goals. There are many factors that can influence academic performance of a college student, including student personality traits and life circumstances. Life circumstances are sometimes out of a student’s control, but if a student was able to recognize a quality of his or her personality that was inhibiting academic performance, then he or she could possibly make an effort to
Humans are so different when learning that there are not enough names to describes all the ways of learning that exist, as each person has a different one. Learning is a process in which we get to know things about a subject that we do not have much knowledge about and we try to understand the concepts behind it. Each one of us has specific needs, factors or strategies that influence this process and helps it to be as productive as it can be. Personally I think that we all, by the time we get into college, know our specific needs, factors and strategies in which we tend to study and learn in a more productive way. In terms of needs I tend to prefer studying with someone as this helps me to share ideas and also be an auditory learner. The factors that are

Instead of accepting that I am a certain way, I know I can choose a different approach. Instead of focusing on negative emotions, I know I can control my emotions. Reactive language becomes a self fulfilling prophecy, while proactive language creates the reality I want to see. By being proactive, and subordinating feelings to values, I can bring anything I desire into my life. I am ready to become more aware of where I focus my time and energy. I do this by determining what I have real control over and focusing my energy there. By focusing on what I can control and letting go of what I cannot, I am maximizing my productivity. The things I am concerned about but cannot control can only take my focus off the things I can change for the better. I am determined to grow my circle of influence and shrink my circle of control. I can solve problems that I can directly control by working on my habits. I can solve problems I indirectly control by changing my methods of influence and how I react. Problems I cannot control can be helped by taking the responsibility to work through them with cheer and
As a first year student, college is an excellent opportunity to discover one’s own sense of identity and interact with a diverse range of people. Unfortunately, everyone will experience moments of confusion, loneliness, or even disengagement during their college years, which may cause a lack of interest for campus involvement. Through many studies, there are several theories that determine the parallelism between a student’s growth and their involvement interest, which also provides helpful methods for first year students to overcome challenges during this time. As Luckyday mentors this gives us insight to how to carefully approach different situations from mentees while forming a lasting impact on their transition from high school to college.

All of the experiences I had up until this date have made into the person I am today. I am very good at appearing confident, and in some area of life I am. I have extreme compassion for those who cannot help themselves and those that struggle to fit in. By finishing my degree in Human Services I will be able to do just that, and in the meantime find peace and move on from own

The quality of teaching in a classroom makes the biggest learning outcome. Effective teaching leads to the improvement in a student’s achievement. Measuring effective teaching against the progress of a student is a must. It is the belief of all schools that all students must have equalising starting points which means that no matter what background a child comes from they should have the same opportunity for learning.
Loving yourself is the key to a happy life. When you love all that you are, unconditionally, life reflects that back to you. When you learn to love yourself, fully, you create a happy, loving environment to flourish in. When we lose sight of what’s most important—loving self—we lose sight of our goals and dreams and being happy and healthy. Ultimately, to live a fulfilling life, first and foremost, requires that you love all that you are and trust that life loves you in return.
