Fear:
In potential crisis situation, when the client is having aggressive behavior, I might get scared. The crisis level does not matter because fear is the normal feeling that anybody can have. For example, if client is swearing, hitting himself or others then I can get scared at once. I might go blank. I might leave the situation by thinking that I can get hit. In this situation, concentrating on client to help him/her to get out of that particular situation is really difficult. So first of all, as a helper I need to accept my feeling and I have to cope with it.
Anxiety:
Anxiety is an extremely common feeling that occurs in everyday life. If I go out and meet new people, I get anxious while initiating a conversation with them. If any kind of crisis will happen in front of me for the first time I will get anxious for sure. For example, …show more content…

Feelings and response patterns are inter-connected to each other. For example: if the next person is ignoring me, then I will get angry (feeling) and then I might ignore the person (response pattern) back or leave the place (response pattern). Responses depend on our feelings, if I am going to feel comfortable (feeling) then I might ask the person the reason (response pattern) for the ignorance.
It is really important to be aware of our feeling and response pattern. After identifying them I will acknowledge my positive and negative attitudes and I will work on them accordingly which will help me to cope with the situation. For example, in a crisis situation if I know that my feeling like fear can affect negatively on the situation, I will make sure that I am coping with my feelings and I will find the best way to respond so that I can support the client to get out of the crisis situation for the sake of my safety and client’s
