Receiving this scholarship would be beneficial to my education and career path in many ways. I come from a single income, middle class family, and unfortunately means that college is not a viable option for the future of either myself or my family. I have my mind set on attending a four year college, preferably University of North Alabama. This is crucial to my long term goals of becoming a Physician's Assistant or a Pharmacy Technician. Going to college would be a great achievement because I would be the first of my immediate family to attend college. My mother and my father both barely graduated from high school and attempted to pursue further education, finding little success. I am currently second in my class of eighty six. My unending involvement in both my school and my community have given me many valuable skills which have greatly improved not only my intrapersonal skills, but also my character. I hold several leaderhip roles, including President of the National Honor Society, President of Mu Alpha Theta, Captain of the Danceline, as well as holding a place on the Montevallo Marching Troubadours’ leadership committee. I am also active in WDOG/ SPOTLIGHT, Diamond Dolls, the archery team, Science Club, Pep Squad, as well as volunteering at the elementary school every summer. I take great pride in being a passionate member of the Church on the Rock youth group. Additionally, I am employed as part time secratary for Precision Craft Inc. As you can see, I am a very dedicated student and I have worked hard my entire life to get to where I am.
