Through my experiences and coursework at Ursinus I believe that I was able to take on multiple projects and get them done in a timely manner. Knowing how critical time is, I made sure that I planned out my schedule in a way where I would get my work done on time or even earlier. I work well with people and possess a healthy curiosity that marketers need to have to be effective. I am able to communicate with many people across different levels and platforms. I am also always looking for new opportunities and ways to be innovative. I like finding new way to do things and how to do them differently that would be more efficient. I believe that stepping out of my comfort zone is a way to be successful because by pushing myself to be uncomfortable
I am always a little nervous and hesitant when I begin writing an essay. Ever since I was little I was an honor roll student, passed all my tests, was placed in honors and AP classes, and eventually graduated a year early from high school. I used to be so confident when I would begin writing a paper, I could finish it within a couple minutes. During junior year of high school, I began taking duel credit classes. I was passing all the classes so far until I reached English 111. It was an 8-week course and I started to get overwhelmed. All throughout the course I was having a little bit of trouble on the essays. I would still receive a passing grade, but it wasn’t an A. I like selling things and interacting with others. I just picked this career because my skills that I believe are my best skills are necessary for this career. Other features that are important with becoming a Marketing Manager are: Analytical, Communication, Creativity, Decision-making, Interpersonal, and Organization. I think that all the skills that are needed to become a Marketing Manger is something that I do very well. Some of the skills I have I do way better than others. Then there 's some skills I need to work on just a bit. For example, I am really good at communicating and being creative. My down fall with these skills would mostly be my organization

What I discovered about myself, is that I have a personality type of a “protagonist”. The “Protagonist” basically describes myself adequately, as they find it easy to communicate with others, natural born leaders, and are full of charisma. All of those characteristics tie in to the type of skill and job that I soon want to be possessed in. That job and skill lies in the Marketing field. My attraction draws to this specific job because I am an outgoing person, persuasive, and use my creativity to the best of my ability. I have always questioned the things people do, such as “Why do people purchase they things they do?” and “What inspires and influence consumer purchase behaviors?”. Through the self-assessment instruments utilized in this program, I have gained wealth of knowledge about my strengths, and weaknesses and how they affect my personal and professional life. By using different exercises, I recognized new strengths and weaknesses. At the same time, I identified ways to develop my strengths and overcome my weaknesses. The Kolb Learning Style Inventory (LSI) identified some of my strengths as the ability to get things done, initiating, and taking risks (Kolb, 2007). In the Strongest Self Feedback Exercise, some of the feedback listed my strengths as having excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being self-confident, a fast learner, determined, hardworking, and an awesome listener (Drucker, 2005).

The aspects of chapter one that stuck out the most to me were those of communication being a choice, not only for the speaker, but also for the listener. We all have choices as to how we communicated, as described with the grocery store example, however listeners have the choice of interpretation. With communication being a choice, it opens the door to listeners interpreting as they so choose, and as touched on, some may interpret communication differently based on variables such as gender.
By far one of the greatest skills I have learned within this class is becoming mindful while crafting a college writing piece. Becoming mindful encorporates the usage of noticing, observing, and becoming aware of mistakes within writing pieces and taking the time to apply adamant amount of time for the revision and editing process. Becoming mindful is writing with intention, and re-reading with awareness. A key example of this was in my Op-Doc piece. When crafting my Op-Doc project, I just wrote all of my thoughts down on the page. As you can see in my reflection blog over the project, I had a lot of great ideas and was very invested in the project. I enjoyed getting to watch the Op-Doc and analyze its deeper meanings. What strengths do you need to work on for the job? “ The things that you learn in school that you need for the job would be math, reading, and other classes that you will learn in high school. You use math and reading the most though, if you don’t know how to do those things you won’t be successful in that job.” “I need to make my communication skills better because you might know someone every once in awhile but most of the people that you help you don’t know them at all.” And I also have to get better at working with people better, as in working as a team. Such as time management so I can perform my tasks as smoothly and fast as I can. This will satisfy my clients and my fellow workers, It will also keep my clientele coming back to me for more services. Being able to talk with my clientele I have never met is another key factor in my success. Showing interest in their life will help give them the best experience and make them more comfortable with me. Being able to work and talk to my co-workers as well is important since I will be spending a lot of time around them and I may eventually need help with a service. Such as a second opinion on a hair color, style or cut or I may need actual help with any form of chemical service. Being able to do these things create a calm serene atmosphere. Being able to figure out a problem and solution is another thing I will need to be able to do that school has prepared me for. If I do not enjoy a client that comes to me I know the solution to that is to put my feelings aside and get the task at hand done anyway. With a haircut that I need to fix I will need to be able to best identify the problem and how to fix it depending on angles and symmetry. With a corrective coloring I will need to know how much color and developer to use in measurements to best get the right color as well as the complimentary color that will neutralize the unwanted
This week, I was successful this week in terms of documentation and contacts. I have been keeping up with the work. My supervisor had asked me to stay extra, and it made a big difference. Staying an extra hour is better than the five-hour work schedule because I was able to make up a lot of documentation. However, I was very tired this week, and I found that I did not have as much energy as I usually have. I created a plan to survive this week with effective time management. Speaking to patients in the morning time. Get the list of the patients on the postpartum floor, and determine if they are participants. If they are not WIC participants, I did not go into the room. At the office, I check if there are any prenatal mothers, as well as postpartum mothers waiting in the waiting area. If no one fit the criteria, then I worked on the documentation. I do find that employees give me other work on top of what I am must do because they see that I am a hard worker. Although, I know when to say “No,” but I do not say it because I want to be helpful. Also, I am under a probation period and I want to pass it. Therefore, I do the job to the best of my ability to succeed.
My life as a teacher started in the year of 2010. I enjoyed working with the younger age group the most. Always loving, caring, lot of cuddles and kisses. The more cuddles the happier I am. Every day is an experience and I learn new things that helps me to grow in this industry. I enjoyed the experience working with different levels as the years passed. In my journey as a teacher, I learned to believe myself in whatever I do. The strength to achieve success is to believe in myself and be a reflective teacher.

In the following paragraphs I will discuss about one of my strengths I have observed during the CELTA Course as well as one of my areas of development for my future teaching practices. I have decided to focus my attention on two specific areas: eliciting and board organization; a strong and a weak point in my teaching practice respectively. I will address and analyze both of them separately, and I will explain a course of action to develop and improve such areas.
