What makes a leader extraordinary consists of these three main ideas? In this essay, you will find out the answer to this question. One, the idea of having good authority or being an inspiration to others. Second, a good leader needs to be a excellent strategist. The last idea is that a good leader needs perseverance to his colleagues and his citizens to never give up no matter what situation both good and bad. One main idea of a trait that makes a great leader is the idea of having good authority over others. An example of this is when the commander is leading the country into a time of need like when the country might be under attack or going into war into another country. Another good trait about having good authority is that when the …show more content…
country could be either in a time of famine, drought, terrorist attacks, a major person dies, etc., that the leader can help support the nation by promoting safety and care and try his best to help the country become stable. The third attribute of this is when the leader tries to envision how the country, economy, its citizens, etc. can improve and become better over time. A second trait that a good leader might want to have is being a good strategist.
This means that he/she can plan different types of actions and perform them well (politics and war for example). An example of this is setting goals in place and making sure they are accomplished. Another attribute that a good strategist should have is having good persuasion techniques like having/making secret alliances, treaties, etc. A third technique that makes a good strategist is the fact that he/she can just be honest. It not only makes you more trustworthy but also you can collaborate ideas with other top leaders around the world. My last technique is that in order to be a good strategist, you need to make allies, good decisions, and communicate well. The third trait of being a good leader is the idea of having perseverance. An example of this is when the country is under a major crisis, the leader will try to help the citizens as much as he possibly could and never giving up. Another representation is having good ambitions about mostly everything and how to improve those things effectively and efficiently. My final technique for having good perseverance is being optimistic about the future and how the leader can make the country a better place to live
in. Basically, in order to be a good leader you need these three techniques/traits: Having good authority over others, being strategic, and having perseverance at all times. Examples of world leaders that used at least one of these techniques were great leaders like Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, George Washington, and Lincoln. The reason why I said having good authority was because a struggling/improved country needs a leader who can take over and make the country better that it was already was plus you need someone who can take things to newer heights. The reason why I said you needed to be a good strategist because you need to set goals in place and to set good communication between others. Finally, the reason why I need you need perseverance is because when bad times come, someone needs to lift the country on its feet and try to bounce back from it.
Every Leader is defined by his or her qualities and characteristics. These can determine how effective a leader has become. This statement has been true throughout the history of mankind. However, there are only a handful of specific qualities that can truly determine if someone is an effective leader.
Leadership is a complex process with many different approaches. This is a summary of the leadership literature including the pros and cons of each approach. The trait approach implies successful leaders are born with those traits. This theory focuses on identifying certain traits that make people great leaders. Some of the major leadership traits identified in the trait approach are intelligence, self-confidence, determination, integrity, and social ability. There are many advantages to the trait approach. “First, it is intuitively appealing because it fits clearly into the popular idea that leaders are special people who are out front, leading ...

Great “leaders are made, not born” (Skrhak, 2014). A great leader motivates and influences a team to reach seemingly impossible goals. A great leader has a compelling sense of purpose and duty. Great leaders portray excellence and in return they expect no less than excellence. An effective and great leader is not defined by only personality, but by their values, ability and skills, and leadership style.
Leadership is strength. Though it is strength, what makes a leader? Is a leader someone who is in front of the line in the game ‘follow the leader’? Technically yes because that is their name in the game, but this essay isn’t about a game. It is about reality. Is a leader made up of a variety of skills, talents, morals, and values? Or perhaps a leader is someone who tells people what to do? Or maybe a leader is someone who can make a difference? To an extent, a leader is built up of all of those possibilities. A leader is someone with a variety of skills, talents, morals and values, and someone who knows how to make a difference, and someone who can guide people into doing what needs to happen. Leadership can’t just be broken up
A key component to leadership is to master skills that one already possesses. The greatest leaders in the world do not necessarily stem from the best universities or some costly academic background. One of the strongest traits a person can have is understanding what their leadership style is. When one understands his or her leadership style this can work strongly to one 's advantage. The goal is to garner the best results with the least amount of effort whenever possible therefore many particulars exist which can add to this equation and understanding one’s personal leadership style is a great place to start.
Leadership and success come hand in hand. You cant only have one. People that are great leaders are successful. They need to lead the right people and stay true to themselves. The best thing a person can do to become the best potential leader is to read and learn about the most influential leaders of all time. A person has to have the right mind set and the most drive out of anybody else to become successful. They have to want to be more successful more than he or she wants to breath. Being a leader is not a trait. Its a way of life.

Historically, an effective leader was assumed to be exceptionally knowledgeable, authoritative, and dominate. Those leaders applied the command and control method to lead an organization. With the passage of time, this definition has been changed. The modern definition of an effective leader is honest, courageous, trustworthy, inspirational, and result-oriented. Today’s leaders create shared values and vision, and empower others to achieve their targets.
... that an individual can possess however; there are three effective leadership traits that one must possess. Which are the ability to get along with others and build teams, the ability to make sound and timely decisions and the ability to get things done? Not all leaders possess these, which in turn make them less of an effective leader. However, I believe that Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela possessed all three traits and some. These leaders lead by example and was exemplary in doing so.
To be a great orator, a visionary and a strategic thinker all make up a good leader, but by having all these traits doesn 't make up for the loss of the other things that a leader should have, like the ability to listen to his people 's need and the ability to think for the better of the nation instead of the power hungry attitude that ambition can led you

In the world, there are two types of people; the ones who lead, and the ones who follow. Whether or not a person is a sheep or a wolf is determined by characteristics inherited from the outside world. The wolf personality takes control of the pack and leads it. While the sheep sits and waits for the wolf to create the path for them. These two qualities are defined by a series of characteristics. In order to be a good leader, one must have self-confidence, communication skills, charisma and integrity. These are the fundamental skills that make a good leader. Self-confidence is the attitude that one possesses in which one is not afraid to make decisions based on their ideas. Communication skills allow a leader to convey his or her ideas or thoughts carefully. Charisma is what makes a leader appealing to the public, and integrity is what allows the public to trust and have faith in the leader. Throughout my life I have encountered the chance to experience position of being a leader. Being part of groups in university for class presentations, being the organizing secretary of my campus fellowship, being a youth leader in my church and the church admin, also being part of a family. Leaders are charismatic, inspirational and trust worthy. I have gained some important qualities of being a good leader through these experiences. Most of the valuable leadership’s characteristics that I obtained and strengthened are: learn to become a better leader every day, how to be a team player, to be a better listener, to be an effective communicator, to have more patience, not afraid of constructive criticism, to be outspoken, and to be a problem solver. Even though I have gained a lot, I still have more things to learn to become a better leader such as being more assertive, being more disciplined, becoming a better public speaker, and learn how to be realistic and not too optimistic. You are a leader if someone else choses to follow you.
