I. INTRODUCTION 1. The Philippine Military Academy, as a premiere military institution in the Southeast Asia, bears the task of producing quality military officers and efficient leaders for the Philippine government. As such, the recruitment of cadets for the academy is no simple endeavour. Cadet applicants are screened and subjected to several recruitment requirements to determine their suitability for the academy. More often they are referred to as the “cream of the crop.” 2. Once accepted inside the academy, the cadets undergo both military and academic training so as to hone them for their roles as future military officers. They are exposed to rigorous training for the development of their stamina, endurance and physical characteristics. Their character is also developed as they engage in the different trainings requirements inside the academy. They were engaged in different trainings that will help them to be a better one. Cadets follow a daily schedule in which they wake up early, fix their beds, clean their rooms, and dress up for reveille. Since they are full in duties, they have limited time to do their own personal stuffs. This however, will help them to develop stability under pressure that despite limited time, they can still work for their compliances, prepare for their personal things and even for the next duty, both under the military training requirements and academic requirements. This set up is necessary since the cadets must be well trained physically, mentally, emotionally, and also academically. 3. Academically, the cadets are also expected to perform well in the different courses provided by the Academic Group. The academy provides all facilities that are necessary for the ... ... middle of paper ... ...vity, Stress Relief and Health. Ever since my first visit, I have researched the Academy Extensively, exploring what it takes to become a cadet. When first informed of the chance to attend the Summer Seminar, I was finally given the opportunity to experience cadet life first hand. To attend the Seminar, I would be given a glimpse of what to expect at military Service Academy. My Expectations of the Seminar are to be taught the basic of military customs and courtesies and apply these skills to leadership applications such as drill and ceremonies (e.g. marching a flight or passing a drill inspection). Physical training will be an integral part of the academy experience. So, participation in team sports and obstacle courses will test us physical and mentally pushing us to work together. Induvial fitness will be a priority because of the intense training of the Academy. Overall, I believe the Seminar to be a learning experience for many people seeking to become a cadet. The information being beneficial for those seeking to become a future Falcon at the
Marion Military Institute is considered to have one of the best preparatory programs for preparing cadets entering a service academy. Without a doubt, MMI exposes its cadets to a rigorous academic routine similar to that of a service academy. However, SAP cadets need preparation in a sport, since they are required to play one at a service academy. Many cadets are deprived of sports, merely because it isn’t offered and there is no group or club organized to play it. With the implementation of my organized plan, club sports will be an option for cadets, and the SAP program will be more productive and successful.
All cadets can be found to be more responsible and dependable than most others. They have little area for horseplay and no room for negligence or error. Every “real world” op that Civil Air Patrol does can have a negative result if all parties are not giving it their full effort. Every operation that Civil Air Patrol does, whether it is training or not, has to be executed with discipline and ultimate control to receive the best outcome available.
“The Army Profession”, describes the essential characteristics of the Army Profession. As trusted Army professionals, we affirm that the heart of the Army is the Army
In the conclusion, three attributes are important elements that form a profession in the Army. Soldiers become better leaders because of their well trained and educated. Soldiers are more expert on what and how to do the jobs. Army also learned from mistakes and developed concepts to earn the trust back from people. Moreover; Army adopt values to shape its structure
At the beginning of the Academy, I was very anxious and nervous of the entire situation. Within the first two hours of the first day, Captain Gatlin gave introduction and scared us to death. But, overall he was a great inspiration and motivation throughout the Academy. The academic lead instructors Corporal Peppers and Sargent King performed exceptionally well and were a wealth of knowledge. While being very strict during the Academy they were also fair. Physical Training was a portion of the Academy that I enjoyed, Sargent Bradley and Sargent Cooper were very informative and through.
Chief Fegley reinforced advanced the Coast Guard’s leadership principles while mentored MK A 04-17 and EM A 01-18 as a sponsor. As the Assistant Course Manager for three courses within the Port Operations School, he directly lead to the development of over 200 students. In that effort, Chief Fegley supervised the successful graduation of members from nearly every unit involved in the execution of the marine safety mission. The direct supervisor of five Petty Officers, he continuously challenged his team with projects aimed at their professional development. The measures of these accomplishments included an upward trend in raw SWE scores, a member's advancement, professional development, and individual recognition.
As becoming an officer in the military, there are abounding roles and positions that will be expected of all officers to perform. Military officers are to be a member of an armed force and to hold a position of authority. There will be roles to be performed that do not have a right or wrong answer, but an officer will take action to perform his or her role and take responsibility of their action.
Based on previous discoveries made by highly accurate researchers, it is now known that napping can greatly benefit those who do it properly, both physically and mentally.
Coffee is the first thing that people associate with instant energy on a groggy morning. “In the U.S., coffee is king of beverages” (Reinke) Research has been done that has named coffee as an addiction to the people who consume large quantities of it. Coffee was named the top source of antioxidants. This is partly because of the amount consumed each day. Some of the antioxidants that coffee has are quinines and chlorogenic acid. It also contains trigonelline, an antibacterial compound. This is where coffee acquires its delicious aroma. Now let’s step back for a minute and just think about how much caffeine people consume. In an 8oz cup of coffee it has about 85 milligrams of caffeine. This is about double the amount that tea contains. Studies have shown that caffeine stimulates the brain and nervous system. This is where you get that energized feeling. After about the third cup, knees start to bounce, pens are clicking and people start running laps around the office. Caffeine can become addicting if you drink too much. Coffee can become that addictive habit people are unable to shake.

In society in general, and American society in particular, there seems to be a type of cultural fetish surrounding the act of drinking coffee. Drinking cup after cup of coffee signals honesty, business, a type of down-to-earth tireless commitment to go-go-go! We always know when the boss is on screen because they shout, “Go get me a coffee!” to a quivering underling. Not drinking coffee is its own kind of political alignment. Tea, juice, and water drinkers are hippies and hipsters, health hacks and boring people, the type that have never needed caffeine the way the movers and the shakers do. How you take your coffee is also important. Black coffee drinkers are stoic and intense. Complex, milky, or sugary drinks are for weaker, more valuable members of society, particularly teenage girls. Everybody just hates those complex orders. I’ve often been told, “Wow, that’s great. I wish I could take my coffee
