3D Animation production workflow Pre-Plan Project: Before you start your animation 1. Make a decision of your output format. At the beginning you should choose a format of your animation playback, as we all know, different formats will have different quality and resolution requirements, so it is very important to select a suitable format for your animation. Here are some example, HDTV, DVD, iPhone movies and etc. 2. Plan your submit dates and the cost range. You need to make a clearly and accurate budget for your animation, and the schedule as well. Usually the company will spend lots of time on storyboard to make a bid. 3. Gain the story content and scripts The animation company hope that their work will highly and precise carry the clients` technical needs and show on the animations. Hence, they are needed to collect the pictures and video from clients, some brochures and PowerPoint Presentations about the products as well. So it is better if clients could provide the scripts. It will help to clarify the client’s internal needs. Pre-Plan Project: Create a storyboard 4. Gain the story content and scripts A successful project depends on a good storyboard. The plan cost will determine how complex of the animation, especially some important visual technique use inside the animations. The company will sign an agreement with clients about the storyboard; this is a guarantee that the final animation will meet the requirements of the clients. Some detail decision will made within the storyboarding process, in order to change some unnecessary difficult shots, which highly cost. For example, animating a human heart and its beating, we can choose not to make the blood transmit through the blood vessel. This is to reduce the compl... ... middle of paper ... ..., and a depth pass layer. 18. Add text effect In order to make the animation more interesting, the company will add some text effect on it. For example, using the overlay effects, it will show like the text fly in and out to the screen, panels or other graphs, additional light and particle effects to make it more bright and colorful. 19. Audio One of the way continue attracting audiences is to add some special sound effect, that will balance the pace without moving too fast, avoid the viewers lost their interest. 20. Final animation confirmation Althought the final animation is completed, they still need to modify some visual mistake, like wrongly spelling in text and the angle of the lighting. 21. Publishing This is the last step of the whole animation process. At this step, the animat8ion need to uncompressed video, convert to a suitable format for submit.
Some of the special effect used in these films are animation. For example, the penguin scene in Mary Poppins. Another example of this is transitioning and flashbacks. An
Movies today are extremely expensive to make and are typically financed through either film studio contracts or from investors willing to take a risk. In order to be successful, movies need to be marketed and distributed either under contract by the film studios or by companies that specialize in such services. The aspects of financing, marketing and distribution of films have changed between the studio and independent systems over the years as the evolution of the film industry took place.
Good character animation costs $110,000 - $150,000 per minute, multiply that by 20 and you realize the money involved.
The process starts off by creating a timeline for the animation of what I want in it and well these ideas will flow. I will have to consider what is important to the story and what I think will work best with my intended audience. Once I am happy with my storyboard I will create my characters out of plasticine. This process will take time to do as I must get the characters to look as close to pictures as possible. Once my figures are complete I will need to create certain backdrops for different scenes. Once I have the foundations to begin my project I will first experiment with the figures working on set movements that will appear often in the animation. Once I understand how to use these movements in my animation. After I am comfortable will my skills in the animation I will create it and create versions of it until I am completely satisfied with my finished project. Once I have the animation I will add voicing to the animation and background music to finish
Sound is what brings movies to life, but, not many viewers really notice. A film can be shot with mediocre quality, but, can be intriguing if it has the most effective foley, sound effects, underscore, etc. Sound in movies band together and unfold the meaning of the scenes. When actors are speaking, the dialogue can bring emotion to the audience, or, it can be used as the ambient sound. Music is one of the main things to have when filmmaking. The use of Claudia Gorbman’s Seven Principles of Composition, Mixing and Editing in Classical Film gives audiences a perspective of sound, and, how it can have an impact on them.
The Role of Computer Generated Imagery in the Film Industry Computer Generated Imagery is the special effects used in motion pictures to create a visual depiction of an illusion that can not be easily created in real life. Directors of major motion pictures have been using these technologies since the early days of the personal computer. Early on, when and special effects were in their beginning stages, it was difficult to make efficient and effective effects that are well accepted by the movie critics and the general public. An evolution of special effects and the introduction of computerized animation brought the standards for movie effects to a higher level. The development of new methods of Computer Generated Imagery for less money and more effective than in the past has allowed even fairly low budget movies to incorporate such technology.
David Clayton discussed that “As animators we had to transpose the elements of Benedict’s performance that were critical to the shot, such as head nuances and facial expressions. We then built up the majority of his motion with key frame animation.” There were also some motion captures of Benedict Cumberbatch moving his body like the dragon, however they were not entirely put into the film but instead they were used as references for the Smaug’s body movements.
Computer Generated Images, or CGI, is a form of Computer Graphics design, and animations, that make a image look 3D. These images are shown all throughout the media world, industry, and business, such as print media, tv, movies, pictures, commercials, etc. CGI’s have improved rapidly on software that helps our world improve on computer generated imaging. CGI software’s is used to make graphical design for purposes like movies in the theater. CGI companies and software’s, has made the technology age, and its computer has increase in speeds, and has allowed computer graphics programmers, and other companies, to make better quality films, games, and electronic digital photos on their CPU’s, or laptops. Because of the new advancement in software technology in CGI, and graphics designing, it has brought new internet religious cultures, its own new experiences, such as celebrities, and newer technological vocabulary. Technology advancement has increased so much that CGI’s has lead to the new beginning or era of virtual cinema photography.
Animation has been a huge contributor to today’s media when it comes to movies and televisions programing. For decades, using a series of images to create the illusion of movement, has evolved into billion dollar industries for entertainment. Animated movies are in a completely different league of their own and, no matter how simple they may seem, require a sufficient amount of technique as well as technology. Even live action movies use some form of animation in order to create worlds that could have never been possible without technology. This form of entertainment has shaped standards when it comes to what people expect to see in films in the 21st century. Animation, no matter the form, has been a large part of people’s lives and it has become quite transparent that recent advance have led to a whole new level of animation. There has however been conflict when it comes to this form of media in regards to whether or not traditionally animated films, whether it be stop motion or hand drawn pictures, are becoming obsolete since the advent of CGI (computer generated imagery). Animation fans from all walks of life have segregated themselves in accordance to what they believe is the better form of animation. The debate mainly focuses on whether these new advances are truly benefiting the animation industry and whether or not traditional animation, in movies, such as Disney’s Treasure Planet, are being over looked due to movies that use computers as a primary medium. It is arguable that GCI ads realism to animated films but does that fact completely rule out what hand-drawn films have been doing for decades. CGI should not supplant traditional animation techniques because ...
...n, the use of sound in films is highly significant in the development of the plot and in turn the development of the theme. Although, the sound components play a very significant role individually, it is through the combination and manipulation of such components that the sound design of the sound track has a greater impact emotionally upon the audience. Moreover, the effectiveness of this emotional impact can be significantly increased through the implementation of an effective combination sound to the image. Such combination can be seen within Gravity which exhibits a soundscape that successfully assist in bringing the world of the film to life. Sound is important to films and is an essential feature, many a time an audience will not even self-consciously acknowledge the music or sound effects but if they weren’t there the viewing pleasure would not be as pleasing
The importance of music in movies is highly regarded for manipulating the viewer’s emotions and helping them immerse into the story. Music is one of the prime elements in cinema. Without it a movie would feel dull and unexciting. There are three elements in a movie: one is acting, the second is picture, and the third one is music. It is a holy trinity; if incomplete, there would be a lack of sensation and excitement. Both acting and picture can stand independently from one another, but music is the one that makes the movie memorable.
Anime capture the phoneme object and contains the phoneme label , audio information and similar motion segment. Like viseme an anime have visible representation of phoneme. But viseme capture the single frame of facial pose and anime hold number of motion frames. These frames depend on sampling frequency (120fps or 60fps) and also the duration of phenome. To organize these sequences of phenome/anime

Offering the unique ability to visually and audibly convey a story, films remain a cornerstone in modern society. Combined with a viewer’s desire to escape the everyday parameters of life, and the excitement of enthralling themselves deep into another world, many people enjoy what films stand to offer. With the rising popularity of films across the world, the amount of film makers increases every day. Many technological innovations mark the advancement of film making, but the essential process remains the same. Pre-production accounts for everything taken place before any shooting occurs, followed by the actual production of the film, post-production will then consist of piecing the film together, and finally the film must reach an audience. Each step of this process contributes to the final product, and does so in a unique right. The process of film making will now start chronologically, stemming from the idea of the story, producing that story into a film, editing that footage together, and finally delivering that story to its viewers.
Animation arose in the early twentieth century from the artistic manipulation of comics, drawing inspiration from early silent films and the first black and white movies. In fact, the first recorded animated work was probably “FANTASMAGORIE,” the very first animated feature to be shown in a theater. A grainy set of images flashed before the audience, who would experience this medium for the very first time. Emil Cohl, a French cartoonist who combined film and comics for the first time, created it. In fact, many of the first great animators had backgrounds in comics. Another great animator, named Winsor McCay, could be considered the father of modern animation. McCay was also a comic book artist, and his work is some of the most beautiful and progressive of the time. He was the first to prove that both comics and animation were a viable field of work, and left a legacy that still inspires animators even to this day. The limitless possibilities for a character’s movement gave these first animators an advantage over live-action films, creating dy...
