Mary Poppins, the classic novel and movie is based around a nanny who comes with the wind to help a family. Its prequel Saving Mr Banks, is the story how how the movie was created and the hardships they went through to create this masterpiece. Walt Disney and his producers encountered many issues while creating this film but they persevered to make this enjoyment available worldwide.
In the movie Saving Mr Banks Pamela Travers and Walt Disney have conflicting views on how to portray her novel in the film. One example of this is when Walt disney specifically asked to have Mr Banks have a mustache. They set to argueing about it for days because Pamela’s father was always clean shaven and did it so his kisses could be silky smooth for her. This

In the beginning Pamela was cold hearted and didn’t except any ideas that people proposed to her, but as the plot progressed she did as well she became more accepting of ideas and actually happy with them. Pamela was remembering her childhood, and her father. She was very unhappy with the way things had ended with her father. Her mother became depressed and tried to commit suicide but was saved by Pamela. Her father was a major alcoholic and he started becoming more intense as his job declined. Pamela’s childhood was not the greatest and these memories haunt her throughout the making of this film. Walt Disney grew by allowing his ego to be deflated by Pamela. As soon as she arrived Pamela would not let the producers call her by her first name and she was a tough nut to rack when it came to the movie. But, Walt Disney made his way to the top and he wasn’t going to let her steal the show entirely. These are examples of the personal growth the two showed throughout the movie.
Some of the special effect used in these films are animation. For example, the penguin scene in Mary Poppins. Another example of this is transitioning and flashbacks. An

example of this is in Saving Mr Banks when Pamela reminisces about her childhood. These are just a few of the examples used in the two films.

Film analysis with a critical eye can give the viewer how animation giant Disney uses literary element to relay key messages to the audience. Walt Disney’s “The Princess and the Frog” is a perfect example how different literary theories like ‘the Marxist theory’ and ‘Archetypal theory’ can be embedded in the simplest of the fairy tales. The different literary elements in the movie, shows a person how characters like ‘the banker’ and the setting of the houses helps to portray the socio-economic differences in New Orleans at that time. Applying ‘the Marxist theory’ and ‘the Archetypal theory’ to the plot, characters and the setting, shows how movies can be a medium to confront social issues and to prove that all fairy tales are of the same base.
Presently, Disney known for its mass media entertainment and amusement parks technically bring warm feelings to many children and some adults. Personally, Disney elicits magical fantasies that children enjoy and further encourages imagination and creativity. For decades Disney has exist as an unavoidable entity with its famous global sensation and reach. Furthermore, Disney is a multibillion dollar empire with an unlimited grasp on individuals and territories. An empire per se, since they own many media outlets, markets, shops, etc., you name it they got it. However, the film Mickey Mouse Monopoly presents an entirely new perspective on the presumed innocence projected in Disney films. This film exposes certain traits Disney employs and exclusively portrays through its media productions, specifically cartoons for directing and nurturing influence beginning with children. Mickey Mouse Monopoly points out camouflaged messages of class, race, and gender issues in Disney films that occur behind the scenes intended to sway viewers towards adopting Disney values.

The spectacular qualities within the contemporary films that use VFX became progressively important to Hollywood. The popularity of the ever growing special effects has been increased by a growing demand for products in different multimedia forms such as computer games, theme-park rides and many other secondary outlets that frequently generated more profits then the films they were based on.
Stop motion animation is basically just a series of still photographs taken one after another. Objects are moved and filmed picture by picture to emphasise small movements that they make. Some examples of stop motion films are the original King Kong film and Star Wars. These were made using many small objects and puppets. In this time this was the only way that that could bring immovable objects to life on screen.
If children or adults think of the great classical fairy tales today, be it Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, or Cinderella, they will think Walt Disney. Their first and perhaps lasting impression of these tales and others will have emanated from Disney film, book, or artefacts (Zipes 72)

The first ever special effects to make an appearance in a movie revolved around the re-creation of a beheading scene. Alfred Clark used his talents to bring to life the beheading of the Queen of Scots in the movie, The Execution of Mary Stewart. (Pullman). Special effects were just being introduced and technology was not what it is now. Therefore, Clark had to have everybody stand still for the execution scene, while the actor was replaced with a dummy.
In the 1940's there were four classical Disney feature animated movies to come out: Pinocchio, Dumbo, Fantasia, and, Bambi. Little did Walt Disney know that the five movies that he made would be the base for many more Disney movies. In the movie Pinocchio for example, a toy maker creates a puppet and when he makes a wish upon a star.....the puppet turns into a real boy. Dumbo was the next movie to come about from Disney. Dumbo is a movie that teaches, you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Now Fantasia on the other hand is a totally different kind of movie. It's a cartoon musical. Bambi was the next movie to come out. To some it might be called a tragedy. But to others it might be called a happy and joyful movie. It teaches you to fend for yourself.

The analysts in the documentary view Disney as a negative influence, however, they do not focus on the overall themes of the movies. Mulan is an example of a fiction film with feministic core values and a positive theme within it. Children watch movies for enjoyment, and they do not understand stereotypes as well as adults. One thing children can grasp is the overall message of the story. Therefore, Disney movies such as Mulan, have an overall positive influence on popular culture because of their positive themes, and it is obvious that Mulan was created as a positive female character. By showing intelligence, bravery, and independence, Mulan represents the core values of feminism. Though Mickey Mouse Monopoly had a lot of evidence of negativity in Disney films, they overlooked the positives by focusing on small clips. Today, Disney continues to make movies that include positive roles for female characters and positive themes, and people of all ages love
The 1950’s Cinderella created by world-renown Disney director, Clyde Geronimi, has been established as the most renown and generic story out of all. In comparison to Charles Perrault’s “Cinderella”, the standard storyline, both have the same concepts. Similarities such as the abuse, the magic, and the happily ever after is present in both exactly. Although, there are also horrifying aspects to discuss about Cinderella and their other versions. Certain acts such as the abuse and mutilation are considered to be unjust and not right, no matter the situation; but perhaps Cinderella was not as virtuous and kind as portrayed in the 1950’s film.
One of the films most important and groundbreaking technology is the use of motion capture. Motion capture technology has the ability to capture more realistic eye movements. Special reflective markers are placed onto the actors, which are wearing tight suits. Cameras recognize these markers and therefore the movements of the actor can be recorded. The captured data that was recorded is transformed into a digital model and transferred to a 3D software which would show the characters moving exactly how the actors did when they were performing for the scene. The data is cleaned up and animators will bring the character to life, with movement, texture, skeleton and muscles. An advantage that is offered in motion capture is it is more rapid and producing the animate...
