Beep beep beep here comes the bus at 7:20. The time after school to do our homework will be a lot shorter. Kids will not grow up and they will stay up even later after their bedtime before because they have more time to sleep in the morning. They should go to bed at the same time because that is what the late start is for. Parents need to work in the morning and many little kids do not know how make their breakfast in the morning, they don't know when there bus comes, or they won't have anybody drive them because their parents have to go to work..
The School day still needs to start at 7:30 am. Study lab will be a lot later or they might not even have studylab anymore because they have to go to sports activities it will end up too late. w should still have study lab because 60% of students still need help on their homework after school. Our sports will be later then we won't have any time for homework because they have sports and don't have studylab and then when they get home from sports it will be really late when they get home and they will be sooo tired. also 60 % of kids now have sports activities after school. Our routines will be way off because instead of getting up at 6:00 they will get up at 7:30. There routines at school will also be out of whack because we are going to school later till 3:30.

They will have already gone to work in the morning when we get up then when we get home from our sports we will see them when they pick us up then we will go home and go to bed. We will have not even close to angh sleep. we will only get like 8 hours of sleep after we get home from sports then everyone will go to sleep later then complain that they are tired like they are now so this late start think is not going to do any

An average student needs 8 ½ to 10 hours of sleep a night. If they have to get up for school at 6 they should be in bed by at least 9:30. A lot of parents think that starting school later is a great idea but there are many downfalls with starting later. Although getting up early can affect a teens natural sleep pattern, schools shouldn't start later in the school day. The amount of sleep they get, the activities or sports kids go after school, if they babysit their younger siblings after school, all this is affected by starting school later.
Students are known for coming into school late due to lack of sleep, traffic, or cramming in last minute responsibilities. Receiving more time will give the students a chance to prepare in the mornings. Ways of preparing could be extra time to wake up, study, finish homework, workout, eat breakfast and socialize. Every morning I feel like I am racing against the clock because of the little amount of time that I have to attend athletic practices, make my bed, get dressed, and eat breakfast. If we were to push the start of the day then teens would have more time to sleep in the morning. The more sleep students get the less likely they are to fall asleep in class.
