This year my team and I accepted 5 major goals:
Goal 1 - Establish the CSC-Kirkland technology team as a high-performingcross function team - Rating: Solid
- I failed to maximize our EOS score in 2017 in spite of efforts to improve employee engagement.
- I fell short by nearly 20 points on EOS and LBI, my biggest personal and professional failure of the year.
- I lost three employees through attrition this year, terminated one employees, and hired four employees. That places my attrition at 7.5% (3 Employees), 1.5% below my goal for the year.
- Failed to fill all open positions, even though several candidates were interviewed for the open positions. Made a strategic decision to pass and focus on contractor flips to fill those positions.

While I was not directly responsible for delivery of the work above, my team operated under my direction and oversight the entire year. My strategy to build a robust delivery pipeline (DevOps) with the help of my team, the elimination of the formal QA organization, and absorption of QA and BA team members into Scrum teams, combined with the establishment of strong Agile/Scrum practices, greatly contributed to the overall success and growth of my team.
I am most proud of the the establishment of a strong delivery pipeline (DevOps), creation of self-organizing Scrum teams, and a focus on test automation 2017. I also pride myself as a servant leader and passionate supporter of my team. After all, no matter my goals were for 2017, none of them would have been realized without the tremendous support and numerous contribution by my extremely strong and committed leadership team, Their combined experience, expert skills, motivation, and knowledge greatly contributed to the fulfillment our department goals for
My team consists of four other people besides myself, Lauren Chojnaki, Alexa-Louise Patnode, and Jacobe Loewen, and Ryan Tyriver. Together, we are tasked with the mission to complete a stakeholder analysis regarding a specific organization and their structure. For this project to be completed successfully, it is important that all team members are able to cooperate with one another and are able to use their different strengths to create the best end product.
As an individual team member you are vital towards the success of our business and our
A multidisciplinary team review could improve informational continuity, management continuity and relational continuity during patient’s transition (Haggerty et al. 2003). The Australian commission on safety and quality in healthcare (ACSQHC 2010) recommends a multidisciplinary team approach and the involvement with patient and family member in decision-making. Individuals’ health-seeking behaviours and care preferences are influenced by their culture (Napier et al. 2014). Many older Greeks migrants believe that family plays the essential role caring their family (Hurley et al. 2013). As Amara does not speak English, a multidisciplinary team should be involved and communicate with Jim and his family in their
After Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was asked about reparations, he said that America should not be held liable for something that happened 150 years ago, his reply inspired Ta-Nehisi Coates to speak. In his testimony in June 2019, Ta-Nehisi Coates passionately spoke to a subcommittee of the House Judiciary through the use of emphasis, rhetorical appeals, and contrast to convey his message that America owes a debt to African Americans for their contribution to the collective wealth of the country. Coates uses the rhetorical strategy of emphasis, specifically repetition, to help convey his message. Coates began his speech by quoting McConnell, “...since none of us currently alive are responsible.” Coates comes back to this later in
I will facilitate my organizations goals and will be a positive influence on my peers. Works Cited Covey, Stephen R., Roger A. Merrill, and Rebecca R. Merrill. First Things First. New York: Simon & Schuster, 1994. Print Ferrell, O. C., Fraedrich, John; Ferrell, (2012-01-01).
I thank you for your commitment and patience. You’ve watched me stumble at times in my new role and I’m especially thankful for those who have spoken up and given me heartfelt advice
Andrew Carnegie said, “Teamwork is the ability to work together towards a common vision. It is the fuel that allows common people to obtain uncommon result.” Working with this definition, teamwork is the ability to agree together. Working together is a decision of making oneself available for a common vision. The results of a team will transcend the outcome of an individual.
The purpose was to show how employees could contribute to the company's objectives. Employees were able to understand the terminology and best practices of the scorecard as it related to strategic planning. KPI’s where they saw improvement were in the company’s operating cash flow, total revenue of bids submitted, and number of preventable environmental excursions. (2013) The balance scorecard allowed Veolia to develop a framework to measure their goals and show progress.
At the point when the team moves into the "norming" stage, they are starting to work all the more successfully as a team. They are no more centered on their individual objectives, yet rather are centered on building up a method for cooperating. They respect each other's opinions and value their differences. They begin to see the value in those differences on the team.
I will need to be careful and make sure the goals are realistic and achievable and that my tactics are transparent. Specifically, I am going to run through the book Personality Plus for Work, with the PKX employees so that we all understand our personalities better and in turn provide good feedback to our coworkers and our customers. Additionally, I am going to receive input from the PKX employees and create a vision and specific goals for the remainder of this year and next for the PKX
All results did give positive impact on me and I clearly identify a visible path for improvement to become a successful Leader/ Manager. I set my goal to become a Emotionally intelligent, highly motivated, better conflict resolution and communication filled Engineering Manager in an Organization. I pledge to preserve these principles of Organization behavior in my current job and eventually make myself to higher positions in the firm.
Teams are a major source of companies in these coming years. Teams are Heroes (Collins, 2009-08-27). Everyone wants to be a hero, therefore we need to build, follow, and be effective team members and effective team leaders.
After a review of my performance in the assigned group, I have learned a great deal about myself and behavior in the team-setting situation. This is not the first experience in a team-setting. Previous team setting experiences were conducted in sporting and recreational environments rather than academics. While the setting and the environments were indeed different, there were many commonalities and correlations between the team settings I previously experiences and the current academic team-setting experience for this academic course project.
TEAMWORK The teamwork is usually defined as the process of working together in a group to achieve a common goal. These days, working in groups is inevitable. Whether it is a school assignment or working in a clinical setting, we have to work in groups to accomplish a task. We cannot expect to work in isolation all the time. As far as our team is concerned, they worked in an organised manner to accomplish the task within the deadline.
Working in teams provides an opportunity for individuals to come together and establish a rapport towards others within a group. Teamwork is classified as people with different strengths and skills who work together to achieve a common goal. When a team works well, specific objectives are fulfilled and satisfied. Teamwork plays a crucial role in implementing and fulfilling a common goal in a team project. Each member plays a role and takes on different responsibilities combined together. In different stages of teamwork, conflicts and arguments may occur for as members have different standpoints which need to be harmonized within the team. The key to having an effective teamwork is to explore each member's unique abilities to motivate them.
