To All, I want to take a moment to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and Holiday Season! As I come to the close of my first year as Court Administrator, I look back with a thankful heart for the number of blessings and accomplishments we’ve seen. It’s been a year of challenges, still we continue to meet issues straight on and continue to work together even with difficult conversations. As we moved through 2015, we said good-bye to long time co-workers, welcomed new co-workers and continue to nurture programs, both old and new to meet the public need. I thank you for your commitment and patience. You’ve watched me stumble at times in my new role and I’m especially thankful for those who have spoken up and given me heartfelt advice
that I will continue to utilize as I make decisions. Thus, as we move into the New Year with a new Presiding Judge and the new County Executive, change will be our constant companion. I am confident in my staff, our management team, our union partners and our many friends and supporters throughout the community that 2016 will be a good year. Few administrators have such a great court and as we work to improve programs and manage limited resources, I believe we’ll exceed expectations. I respect the work that is accomplished and appreciate the dedicated professional employees who continually problem solve and carry out the mandates of the court. Thank you and again, Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the holidays with loved ones and be safe. Sincerely, Marilyn
Thanksgiving Day is a day of family, food, and giving thanks for the blessings in life and yet some people believe Thanksgiving to be a prep day for Black Friday, the biggest shopping day of the year. The focus of Thanksgiving shifted from family bonding to incessant shopping. This trend of taking away from the hours of Thanksgiving in order to shop is enraging. It steals away from family time for the shoppers and the employees. Employers threaten workers that if they do not work on that certain holiday, they will be fired. Black Friday should be kept to Friday instead of moving in on my family time. The whole culture of Black Friday has become repugnant and unnecessary.
Thanksgiving is a holiday in the United States, which is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November every year. Although the way holidays are celebrated over time, thanksgiving has always been a holiday feast. However, Thanksgiving is more than just eating food together with your family. For instance, some families do charity work for the poor people and create a Thanksgiving dinner for them, other family’s watch sport in addition to the food that they eat together. One part that is common at almost every Thanksgiving dinner is the type of food that is served. Families in the United States have celebrated Thanksgiving for hundreds of years, but the way it is celebrated has slightly changed from the first Thanksgiving. To be able to explain
Lastly, I’d like to fully thank Ira for all the hard work he put into helping me make this whole process manageable. Arranging the meetings, giving me guidance and nudges towards the right direction, and being the guy who I can ask questions of and get a straight answer from. So, Ira, thank you so much! Obviously I am very grateful, and I hope we can continue to get to know each other even when this is done.
I want to thank you for all your had work and motivation you have brought to our team. Thanks for helping our membership during the military affairs events. You are wonderful addition to the Addison MD&P team. I appreciate all your assistance and help transitioning into my new role.
I appreciate the opportunities for growth that has been given to me during my time here. I have been able to learn and obtain much needed skills and information that will be essential to the success of my profession. Most of all I appreciate the opportunity to make a difference in someone else’s life.
Good afternoon, let me just start by saying that the kindness, support, friendship, and love extended to me and my family during this difficult time has really touched my heart- we are sincerely appreciative!
First, – Mom, Mike, Dad, Beth - thank you. Thank you for the support and guidance throughout the years to help me understand that a challenge is actually an opportunity.
Although I appreciate every support that you have provided throughout my lifetime, I would like to emphasize your help during my high school years. I am truly thankful for your patience when I was facing academic difficulties. Rather than becoming angered by some of my academic failures, you have always cheered me up and encouraged me. This helped me to become more motivated into my academics so that I was able to make up some of the failures I have made.
It's been a pleasure getting to know you, and I hope that we cross paths in the future. Again, let me thank you for the opportunity, time and support, I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
While serving in the Army I saw many leaders come and go but none as influential to me and my career as you. I want to thank you but cannot truly thank you enough. I appreciate you stepping up for me when it seemed as though many did not. When you hired me it gave me a sense of pride I did not feel in a very long time. Your support, encouragement and advice have been extremely helpful. Your strong leadership skills, along with the support and dedication you show to your team has earned you much deserved respect and admiration. I wish to express my gratitude for all of the professional development I received while
Thank you for meeting for at BPlate for dinner on Tuesday, I really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to do so. I had a really nice time sitting down and getting to know more about you and I thank you for trusting me enough to open up about yourself.
Thank you for another great week and for supporting the assessment for getting students on the myON system before we leave for the Mardi Gras break. I know that it has been one more thing to add to an all ready full plate, but you all have handled it with such grace.
The people who celebrated Thanksgiving sometimes didn’t understand the whole point of the holiday, and that is giving. Usually my family and I have celebrated Thanksgiving as our own way, like we do every year. My parents would shop for the meal by themselves, and my family would do their own thing, like go up stairs after we eat for the rest of the holiday, and we never really have had a fun family Thanksgiving, like other families. Unlike the past Thanksgivings, I decided to contribute to help out with cooking, shopping, and other stuff this Thanksgiving, in hoping to change how my family and I normally spend the holiday. Leading up to Thanksgiving, I chipped in by helping my family take some stress off, by cleaning and shopping. The day of Thanksgiving I did things that I wouldn’t do every year, help prepare the delicious food for the meal, and also help around the house after stuffing our faces with all that food. After all of that wonderful time spent with my family, I kept on doing things
Thank you for taking time to talk with me Friday. It was a pleasure meeting you both and I really appreciate your guidance. While I shared some details Friday, I hope to give a little context by providing some of my history.
Thank you. Thank you for accepting me on April 20th, 2012. Thank you for allowing me to grow as a designer, student, and human being in the past four years. And lastly, thank you for accepting, welcoming, and investing in me as your student.
