Hello Dad, this is Denis, thanking you for your support over the past years. I cannot emphasize how much I appreciate your support and the help you have given me, not only in terms of going through high school and getting into college, but also in learning life lessons. Although I appreciate every support that you have provided throughout my lifetime, I would like to emphasize your help during my high school years. I am truly thankful for your patience when I was facing academic difficulties. Rather than becoming angered by some of my academic failures, you have always cheered me up and encouraged me. This helped me to become more motivated into my academics so that I was able to make up some of the failures I have made. Getting into college
was my major "homework" in high school. I want to say that I would not have made it to this point without your support. I really appreciate how you were interested with my colleges of interest, and how you have discussed with me and gave me advices. Through the advice and discussions, I was able to apply to various colleges and gain more chance of variety than I have expected. The advice you have given me also gave me inspiration that contributed to college essays in terms of ideas and creativity. I would like to thank you for your support in my interests and future dreams. Even when I did not have any interests or future dreams, you allowed me to develop my dreams of future. When I mentioned how I was interested in game industries, you explained how to become involved in the industry. Not only that, but you also gave me useful information on my interests and what I have to do in high school and in college to reach my dream. I am truly thankful for your constant support. As I finish, I want to say thank you for believing me and trusting me, even when we are far apart geographically. I believe that I would have not made this far, without your help. You are truly the best Dad in the world.
Since thanksgiving is coming up, I’ve been reflecting on the things I’m thankful for that I don't thank often enough. One of those things is you. I'm very glad I had you in Spanish for both sixth and seventh grade because you really brought out my love of Spanish. I never thought I had it in me to learn another language but with your help I got an amazing start with Spanish. You always encouraged us students to learn Spanish so that we could actually know it, not just to get our worksheets done. Your Spanish classes have motivated me to continue learning Spanish even after high school.
I hope that you can see my education and future are advancing as we speak. This doesn’t mean I haven’t had a few bumps in the road, because I have. Actually, some of the bumps have unfortunately been financial aid. But, I am growing. It is a day to day continual experience of growth and it’s exciting for me to see where it takes me. Again, thank you for this opportunity and all the work you do as an organization.
I was given insight by you on things that I felt were impossible in my life. You have been there for me through the good and bad. I remember the first time I talked to you, standing in your room while you sternly talked to me, I thought I was doomed and that I was going to hate you and your class and ironically I ended up growing close to you and loving your class. To all those who discouraged me that I shouldn’t be in GMA you encouraged me the whole way up that mountain. When I come back to visit GMA one thing I know I just have to do is come back and talk to you. See what you’re up to and tell you ab...
Good afternoon, let me just start by saying that the kindness, support, friendship, and love extended to me and my family during this difficult time has really touched my heart- we are sincerely appreciative!
First, – Mom, Mike, Dad, Beth - thank you. Thank you for the support and guidance throughout the years to help me understand that a challenge is actually an opportunity.
Thought time we been a society of adventurous people like Christopher Columbus, Lewis and Clark, and Heran Cortez just to name a few. People like them have spent their life searching for land, objects, and riches, but the new fad that is sweeping the nation is geocaching. Instead of find gold and riches you find tiny capsule and yourself in the process. Geocaching has caught popularity by making each find interesting and exciting. This sport helps both the young and the old to promote physical fitness, while also having a purpose, to sign your name on a logbook along with the date saying when you arrived.
I am writing to thank you for speaking to the sophomore class of Richard Montgomery High School on November 7th, about your experience during the Holocaust. I found your story to be very personal and educational. I would also like to thank you for taking your time to speak with us.
Before I begin I would like to thank all of you here on behalf of my mother, my brother and myself, for your efforts large and small to be here today, to help us mark my fathers passing.
Always expecting great things in me and making me laugh at dumb memories we had. Thanks for being the Batman to my Robin. To my cousin Filemon, thanks for being my best friend, my partner in crime since birth. Thank you for always being there for me and listening to me even when we annoy each other. Thanks for always sharing a birthday cake with me and protecting me. Thanks for all those memories we share like you always burning your food in culinary and making 2 own goals in varsity soccer. I don't know what's going to happen after we part ways for college but I wish you the best! To the three people who recently come into my life but I feel like I have known you for years. Thank you, Jordan, Brandi, and Trey for being my small circle that I can trust and know you'll stay in my life no matter how far apart we become after graduation. Thanks for all the memories and laughs we share and helping me discover new things in life. You guys have impacted my life so much and I wouldn't trade you guys for the world no matter how many times we might have our argument here and there we still come back to each
First of all, I'd like to welcome all the parents, relatives and friends, on behalf of the senior class. It has been a long, hard road to graduation and I know your presence here is greatly appreciated. My job as salutatorian is to reminisce on our past here at County High, a past that reads like a script of a soap opera.
Now I would like to take the time to thank everyone who has helped me get this far. First of all, thank you to all the teachers. None of us would be here without you always pushing our academic abilities to the fullest. Jessica Parker a.k.a. my partner in crime as Mr. Tri would refer to us. You made everyday coming to school worthwhile. Hillary Laswell, who would leave third period to go steal flowers from horticulture and give them to Mrs. Granillo with me. My brother Jeramie who always said, "If anyone is mean to you, I'll take care of it." My Mom, thank you for always believing in me and putting up with me when I was a real jerk.
Call me old fashioned, but I'm a stickler when it comes to Thank Yous. So, I figured this Thank You would be too long for a text or a card. I wanted to thank you for all of your efforts this summer. It takes a lot of drive to work full time & tutor on the side. Believe me when I say, I can relate. My parents told me the day after my high school graduation, " Congrats, you've done a fantastic job with school! Now, how are you going to pay for college?" I'd always assumed mom & dad would pay my way, so you can imagine I almost tipped over when they told me they weren't going to help me. Within the next week I obtained 1 full time job & 3 part time jobs to fill in any gaps. Working 16 hour days was a difficult task & I gave up many things. But from that, I became great at balancing & prioritizing. It wasn't hard, but I wouldn't change it. When I graduated, I had school paid for in full & a clean slate start my career.
I just wanted to thank you for all that you have done for me. I don't think you realize how much you inspire me and I am so proud of the person you've become and are still becoming. I understand you've been through a lot and you haven't made the best choices, but I can see that you have grown. Truthfully, I've known from the first time I met you to now, that you were a strong person.
Now, I'd like to address the teachers. If you were unwilling to go the extra mile, many of us wouldn't have made it here tonight. I'd like to thank those of you who gave that extra support that so many of us have needed over the years. You've given us tools, not just facts, not just ...
High school. I never realized it would bring so many changes. As I walked on to campus my freshman year, my mindset was the same as it was in eighth grade; the young are invincible. And although I was excited to come to high school I had many fears. Would the classes be too hard, would I make new friends, what could I become involved in, and most of all -- what if I get lost? All of these fears eventually subsided and I, along with all of you, found the right classes and the right teachers. We all made new friends. We all got involved in something. During my freshman year, innocence surrounded me and although eventually my shell would crack, not until this year have I broken through. This year I decided that it is time to soar on my own. Graduation is the beginning of a new flight for all of us, the class of 1997.
