Raising canes has a unique and intriguing story. Everything all started with a college student, Todd Graves, and a business assignment. When Todd turned in his business plan, his professor gave him a bad grade. He told Todd there is no way you can have a restaurant who only serves chicken fingers that will never work. Todd took that as a challenge. He started working 24/7. He even went work in Alaska on a dangerous job. When he returned he had enough money to get a loan. He only had enough money to start the first restaurant. Todd and some buddies started renovating and as they was they noticed a mural on the wall of the old building. When I worked at canes as a cashier I was required to check the restrooms every fifteen minutes. Also when you are not busy, you are expected to clean tables, drink area, and basically insure the whole restaurant is clean. Managers are very strict when it come to the cleanliness of Cane’s. At the end of the night booths and tables are moved and swept and mopped under. All tea containers are emptied and cleaned. Bathrooms are sprayed with bleach all, garbage’s are emptied, and fryers are moved and walls are wiped behind fryers. A manager checks and insures the restaurant is spotless. Who wants to go to a restaurant with a dirty kitchen kiior nasty restrooms?
I have never walked into a raising canes restaurant and have not been welcomed by a smiling Cane’s employee saying, “Welcome to Raising Cane’s” or something to that sort. The service is outstanding and that’s what makes it better then Popeye’s or Church’s or some other fast food chicken place. If I know I’m in a rush to get somewhere and I’m hungry. The most common is called the box combo, it is served with four chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, canes sauce and a twenty-one ounce drink. It is valued at $6.79. You can substitute the sides and get more of one of the sides. For example I order the box combo with no coleslaw, and get extra Texas toast.
The atmosphere at canes is always positive from the employees, to the music playing on the intercom. There are unique pictures in every raising canes. Hanging all around you as you eat are fascinating pictures and articles that bring you into the past. Many canes will even have different displays of local high schools. Inside the canes of my hometown there is a football helmet from my high school, and a helmet from our rival. It feels comforting to know they include the local community in their business. Also when working at canes they always ask employees to participate in community activities.
Raising Cane’s franchise is growing by the day. They have one love and it’s too serve the chicken tenders better than anyone else. Raising canes is family friendly and does an outstanding job to provide customer service. I would rather go to Raising Cane’s any day before going to Popeye’s or Church’s or some other fast food chicken restaurant. Give raising Cane’s a try and I promise you will be going back in a
