Did you know Panera Bread is one of the fastest growing franchises in America (Panera Bread Franchise)? The restaurant must have great qualities for people of all kinds to love it as much as they do. Visiting Panera Bread I had an awesome experience mainly because of its physical environment. Panera Bread has a great environment which is ideal for encouraging consistent business. Panera Bread’s atmosphere is enjoyable. The employees and the managers keep the restaurant clean at all times. When I walked into the restaurant for the first time there were visible employees wiping off the table and sweeping. Panera Bread has almost no trash visible around the entire restaurant. Looking around, there were no trash cans in sight; they were hidden by doors and cabinets. Panera Bread receives ample amount of customers a day keeping the restaurant clean is important, but the workers keep everything running smoothly as well. While waiting in a moderately long line, the employees immediately noticed the incoming rush and started working as a team to get the customers and myself in and out. Along with the workers helping to make the line move faster, the customers in line around me are keeping conversation. We are entertaining each other making the wait time appear shorter. With the great customers and keeping the restaurant clean, Panera Bread workers and managers keep the restaurant well managed. The noise level is separated by the location of dining. In front of me a group a friends decided to have lunch at a table laughing and enjoying themselves and a woman behind me chose to eat alone while reading a book, sitting in a quiet corner. More importantly the manager was always walking around making sure tables were clean, and trash was not i... ... middle of paper ... ...les, “was this specific Panera Bread hiring,” she referred me to a manager. The manager I spoke with, Rob a fair skin man dressed in business casual explained to me the restaurant are accepting applications. Panera Bread’s commonality and convenience is a plus in the business world; restaurants spend thousands of money on advertising and broadcasting. How many people have seen Panera Bread commercials? Receiving steady business and making sure customer’s wants and needs are met in the restaurant world is the only way to ensure a successful business. The environments you experience can affect everything. Panera Bread’s comfortable relaxed environment encourages a happy mood which will lead to people continuing to dine with them. Panera Bread is an excellent restaurant and my overall experience was amazing. I will recommend the restaurant to other with no discretion.
Chick-fil-A recognizes that their brand promise starts the minute the customer enters the premises. When a store opens for the first time, the franchised operator doesn’t just see an opportunity to sell his food product, but rather a “chance to interact, build community, and engage with customers and the community at large. We do this in a variety of ways. First and foremost, we strive to provide 2nd Mile Service to each customer. As we work to continuously improve, we want customers to experience something unique. We want to build community and create relationships between our customers and our food, people and restaurants” [3].
Ehrenreich didn’t want to be a waitress any more than some waitresses, but she did it for her research. Ehrenreich once stated that, “Waitres sing is also something I’d like to avoid, because I remember it leaving me bone-tired when I was eighteen.” (13). Her first job was at Hearthside, a restaurant in Key West, Florida. She was hired as a waitress, starting at $2.43 plus tips. She worked the afternoon shift. Hearthside was being managed by a West Indian man by name of Phillip. The management wasn’t the best. They treated their employees disrespectfully. At an employee meeting, they were threatened by the management. Ehrenreich stated, “I have not been treated this way-lined up in the corridor, threatened with locker searches, peppered with carelessly aimed accusation-since junior high school” (24). When they were just standing around, the manager would give them extra work to do. According to Ehrenreich, “You start dragging out each little chore because if the manager on duty catches you in an idle moment, he will give you something far nastier to do. So I wipe, I clean, consolidate catsups bottles and recheck the cheesecake supply, even tour the tables to make sure the customer evaluation is standing perkily.” (22). They were hired at Hearthside to serve the customers. There are twenty-six tables in the whole restaurant. All the food must be placed on the food trays; small items were to be carried in a bowl, and no refills on the lemonade (1...
After a long day in school and studying, every student needs a night off to just relax and enjoy a meal at a restaurant. In this modern time, some aspects of a restaurant can be the deciding choice. Many choose their restaurant of choice based on either those they are with, their personal, cultural appetite, their routine eating habits or their mood. Some of these preferences are similar yet others are the deciding differences. Two common franchise restaurants that pose differences are Applebee’s and Olive Garden. These two restaurants present their differences in environmental and food options causing a choice between them.
Panera Bread’s setting has neat and clean tables that allow a person to have a sense of ease when eating their food. There is always an employee responsible for cleaning and ensuring a neat dining area for the costumers. McDonald’s dining area is a burden when children create messes and leave tables unclean by their parents. Many of McDonald’s employees are too busy to be aware of the messes that are in the dining area to actually clean up before another costumer sits down with a meal. McDonald’s condiment section is saturated in ketchup and spilt drinks that create a sticky area, unable to be touched. When other costumers see a dirty area, they are more likely to throw trash or unwanted items that create a bigger mess. Thus, hygiene plays an important key in public restaurants. Proper hygiene allows somewhat a pure environment from bacteria and essentially a safer place to
Overall, it seems as though Chick-fil-A there are several main reasons that Chick-fil-A seems to continue to thrive and be successful. One reason has to do with how much the company makes their brand known and supports their brand. Another reason is that the company solely focuses on the product of chicken related products. Lastly, it seems as though Chick-fil-A’s community involvement keeps people coming back to eat and support Chick-fil-A overall. It will be interesting to see what journey
What is typically imagined when entering any establishment is that the experience should be seamless. That is, from the moment you enter until the moment you leave you don’t have a single feeling that anything at all has gone wrong; your goods or service was delivered in an efficient and effective manner. A fast food restaurant, coffee shop, or grocery would need to implement procedures that leave an impression on their customers, as interaction with them is brief. I went to Jason’s deli at around 5:00 p.m. on a Thursday however they were not busy. I have never been to this establishment before so I was not familiar with the procedures in place to process the customers.
Fanny Fern once said, “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach” (Fern 1). This not only holds true for men, it surly can be said about anyone. A restaurant that can capture anyone’s heart is Carrabba’s Italian Grill. What makes it different from all the other Italian restaurants? That would be the authentic taste and experience the restaurant provides its customers with. Whether diners choose to go out to celebrate or gather the family for a delicious meal, there is one place that they will certainly enjoy having it at, Carrabba’s Italian Grill. This holds true because as a long-time customer, I’ve experienced Carrabba’s for different occasions from anniversaries, graduations to birthday parties
Chick-fil-A is affected by numerous external forces which challenge upper management’s ability to make Chick-fil-A "America’s best quick-service restaurant". Through intense strategic planning, based upon the vision, mission and corporate values, Chick-fil-A has been able to establish a unique position in a very competitive industry. The main challenge is to determine how Panera Bread can continue to achieve high growth rates in the future. Panera Bread is operating in an extremely high competitive restaurant market which forces the company to improve and to grow steadily for staying profitable. The company’s mission statement of putting “a loaf of bread in every arm” is just underlying Panera’s commitment for growing. They are now in a good financial situation and facing growth rates of up to 20% per year in a niche market that has a great growth potential. In the next 7 years the fast-casual market is expected to grow by 500% in sales to a total of $30 billion.
The vision of Panera was to make Panera Bread a nationally recognized brand name as well as becoming the dominant restaurant operator in upscale, quick-service dining. The top management believed for their vision to become a reality they must depend on being better than the guys across the street. In addition Panera wanted to offer a unique dining experience at Panera so attractive that customers are passing by other fast casual restaurants to dine at their nearest Panera Bread Company. Management further implemented this strategy by following a blueprint for attracting and retaining customers. This blueprint called, Concept Essence underpinned Panera’s strategy and embraced several themes that, taken togethe...
I chose to invest in Panera Bread because I love Panera Bread. Panera Bread offers amazingly, delicious food that both satisfies and I do not feel guilty after eating it. Panera Bread has healthy options which I love in a food eatery place.

The inception of Panera Bread occurred in Kirkwood, Missouri in the year of 1987 . For the majority of its existence, Kirkwood, Missouri has been home to a homogenously white, with statistics as recent as 2010 stating a 96 percent racial makeup of white individuals . As time has progressed Panera Bread has become a staple in suburban white communities; with exactly 2,024 bakery-cafes residing in these uniformly white communities across the United States . These facts are important in analyzing the culture of the Topsham Panera Bread because history of geography is crucial to understanding phenomena, as asserted by Franz Boas in his journal, “The Study of Geography” . As I illuminate my findings in relation to the Panera Bread based ethnography, I hope to reveal various insights about the culture and community within this
...omer complaints with store employees. Customers would receive phone calls directly from their local store. This social technique improved customer satisfaction as well as bridged the gap between customer and employee. Finally, Domino’s wanted to personalize the customer experience. One way it achieved this, aside from the aforementioned, was by providing the name of the employee making the pizza as well as the driver. Though the company dealt with opposition from employees who did not want their names attached, eventually, employees began to see the benefits of the change. This new social architecture improved employee morale as well as established a more comforting environment for customers.
When entering a restaurant, I usually expect to leave full, satisfied, and wanting to come back again. I believe that many people expect the same thing. The way people react to service can be very different from person to person. Depending on the way the customers are feeling, or the way that the server is feeling can be a big factor for the way service comes across. Service is an important part of everyone’s lives because majority of the jobs that people preform are service related. Poor service is an unfortunate part of life that everyone comes across. The way that I react to the poor service I receive is important and can change in the blink of an eye. Whether I react in an outspoken way, by getting loud and voicing my opinion. Or if I react in a quiet or apologetic way, it can affect my server, and the people around me, and myself.
