Growing as a student, professional, and human being has been my every day goal. Having the opportunity to be a member of Phi Theta Kappa has showed me the amazing leaderships programs that its members have the opportunity to do. That is one of my goals for the chapter members during this 2015-2016 year, try to encourage them to not just being a member try to invite them to be part of the different leadership programs that the chapter offers them. I am not very familiar yet with all the programs the chapter offers. However, when I went to San Antonio to the Regional and International conventions I had the opportunity to talk with some students and listen how these programs were beneficial during their path in Phi Theta Kappa. They not just …show more content…
My paternal grandmother who grew me up taught me to be a fighter and to always fight for my dreams. Learning English has being the hardest obstacle I had to overcome, but not enough to stop me from keep fighting to reach my goals and dreams. Now, that I am in my way to a professional life I know how hard this will be because of my economy resources to pay for a university tuition and fees, but as always I am ready to overcome this one as I did with the others. The main reason why I want to be a Vice president of scholarships is because I know that out there like me there are others students who have the same fear I do; not having the possibility to assist to a 4 year university because of the money. Filling out scholarships is the best opportunity we have to get money to pay for our college tuition and fees. I want to be that person who will help our Phi Theta Kappa members to fill out these scholarship applications and look for the best strategies to be a good scholarship recipient. I am ready for this 2015-2016 year, I will do my best to be a good officer and always give the best of me in everything I do for the Phi Theta Kappa- Alpha Alpha Rho
I am writing to express my strong interest in being a member of Alpha Omicron chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi. I am currently a sophomore at Syracuse University, and will be graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Global Political Economy.
I am seeking membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated to be a part of a sisterhood that leads and serves. I would love to join a sisterhood that serves the community, promotes academic achievement and builds self-esteem in students of all walks of life from primary to adulthood. In addition, I wish to expand my public service through educational development. As an educator, serving children and families through toy drives and youth mentorships would afford me countless opportunities to give back beyond the walls of my classroom, dance stage, and church. With my dedication, compassion, and creativity, I know I will work diligently to produce a strong impact on the sorority’s current programs and aid to create new
During 2017, the fall of my senior year, we held elections for National Honor Society President. I was one of the members selected and later got elected into the position. This position has taught me the importance of quality leadership in order for the success of a program along with how to prioritize my time and stay organized while helping to engage members to enable them to be the best people they can be. Throughout my months as president, I have contributed experience, advice, and leadership alongside hours and hours of time put into an array of projects benefiting both the school and the community as a whole. Experiencing this event which has influenced both my leadership and service to my community has influenced my future plans through
Phi Sigma Pi is built on a Tripod of three ideals: Scholarship, Leadership and Fellowship. They teach professional skills and foster leadership qualities by promoting and advancing the welfare of humanity through service. Phi Sigma Pi offers strong academic students the chance to experience the benefits of three types of organizations all consolidated into one premier fraternity: the personal rewards of an honor society, the internal satisfaction of serving others through service, and memories and friendships that will last long after the college years are over. Phi Sigma Pi’s members are committed to academic and personal success, being role models in our communities, and creating meaningful connections with members. Their members have over 750 community service hours combined. This year Phi Sigma Pi Celebrated 100 years of scholarship, leadership and giving back to the community. In the years to come Phi Sigma Pi hopes to grow and inspire more than just its members to be great, but the entire student
Some of my extracurricular activities include Science Olympiad, STEM Academy, International Club, Advanced Academics Club, and Chem Club. During high school I have participated in various community-based organizations, the two most common being Beta Club and National Honor Society. However while these clubs have allowed me to give back to my community in numerous ways, it was strangely not either of these clubs that expanded my interest in the following particular social issue. Rather it was my involvement in Science Olympiad, specifically volunteering to help run a local Elementary school tournament, that expanded my view of the STEM field.

The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha is to promote sisterhood in colleges to assure a bond between college women, and the sorority leads by being an example for other college women to follow. Alpha Kappa Alpha also promotes higher education and positive self-esteem to younger women. Alpha Kappa Alpha also gives back to the community in community service that could range from educating our women on relevant topics to just lending a hand in the community. I want to contribute to this purpose at Mississippi State University and back in my hometown.

The purpose of this letter is to inform you about my interest in becoming a member of The Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I sought out membership because the members exemplify the epitome of class, grace, and standards. My desire is to inspire young girls and women and make a significant impact on their lives is just one of many reasons I aspire to join your great sorority. I believe in being of service, giving back to the community, and I want to continue on for years to come. Going into the transition into my college career from my freshman year until now, I have encountered many women in the organization that are very active on campus as well as in the community. My past experiences with my past and previous organizations have proved that once my feet are planted my roots will grow and I will stand firm in an organization or committee that I am apart of exemplifying my leadership skills. I am a Mentor with the Valdosta community organization G.O.L.F.E.R. (Generating Opportunities in Life for Each
I know that through my hard work and dedication I can make my goals a reality. However, it may not be possible without these Scholarships. While my parents will help me in any way they can, I am hoping that my hard work and dedication to my studies pays off. I am a very self-driven individual who will accomplish any goal I set my mind on achieving. I am also aware of how without scholarships I may face a financial setback. I am hoping that through the help of scholarships I will be able to achieve all my goals in a timely
The amazing thing is that it doesn’t end there! The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation was created to help our own members in need. Whether it’s a scholarship to help a young woman complete her education or an emergency grant in a time of need, we help Kappas when they need it most. The Foundation also endows Leadership Academy, an intergenerational, life-changing retreat that impacts more than 250 women each year. The program is designed to help members recognize their leadership potential and encourage them to serve in leadership roles in their chapters, on their campuses and in their communities.
I need this scholarship to achieve my goals and most importantly to make my family proud. My family did not get this chance that you are giving me so I am not just doing this for me, I am also doing this for them. I already have all the support from all of my family and all of my friends, but that alone is not enough to conquer my dreams, and to prove all the people that have doubted me that they were wrong. I hope that this organization can help me reach my goals, and to most importantly make them become a reality. I want to look back onto my life and know that this scholarship, and college helped me to be the man I will be. I hope you accept me into your college and most importantly giving me this
