By working basketball clinics every Saturday, I promptly came to realize that it is not just talent that makes a splendid team. At the end of each season, the best players from each league go into the All-Stars or the National league team or the American league team and both teams play against each other. Although, the National and American leagues don’t matter to the world series, because the world series is the best team of all. The reasons being is because the Dodgers have Clayton Kershaw who is one of the best pitchers (if you haven't heard of him) so they're good at defense, they also have Yasiel Puig, and Joc Pederson who are good hitters which you need for runs, and there games are easy to get to and if you come with a big group you can get free food!

There are many integral members that contribute to the success of a sports medicine team that each have different responsibilities but as a whole work fluently together. Our sports medicine team is comprised of five different personnel with all varying qualifications and education level. These five members of the sports medicine team are the athlete themselves, the strength and conditioning coach, the head coach, the teams physician and the atheletic trainer.

There are many possible reasons on why my high school football team was unsuccessful this year. Some of those reasons may; graduated seniors, underclassmen not seeing playing time, injuries, the coach being too much of a friend and more. It’s important for our school to have success in sports. We aren’t the most successful in academics. Most students go straight to the work force instead of college. If we don’t perform well in athletics, then we pretty much get no recognition, which in small town is really important. West Central (Winchester/Bluffs co-op) was founded in 2004. We have always had a successful basketball team, but our football program has had struggles. Particularly this year, the football team had the worst season since the co-op. They finished the season 2-7 and ended with a seven game losing streak.

For as long as there have been sports, there have been people teaching the sport to the players and making them better at it. Coaches must have certain qualities in order to obtain success. One must also look at a coach’s motivation for his job, his passion for what he does, his methods for coaching, and how he became a coach in order to fully understand him.
