Should Gum & Candy be allowed in School
Do you like gum or candy, and do you chew or eat these in school? If so this is a message for you. First of all, you know that gum and candy are a huge distraction to your fellow students. But not only is it a disruption in class it’s also a mess. Schools deal with gum and candy wrappers way to often. Secondly, this habit can impede your learning by keeping your attention away from the lesson and teacher. Some students may argue the point that gum is a good stress reducer, but two pieces of gum won't really help that much in class or a test. This also take the students mind off of the matter at hand which can cause them to have worse grades and .
Thirdly, my reason is that students slap it underneath
In Middle School, before taking a big test teachers would always hand out peppermint or a piece of gum. The purpose behind this seemed unclear. However, from further research their was interesting facts about peppermint candy and Big Red cinnamon flavored gum. Peppermint candy is made with the oil of peppermint, which is extracted from the peppermint plant. This is why the candy can have some of the same effects as the oil itself. People believe the brain effects associated with peppermint are related to the scent of the peppermint, rather than the ingestion of it.
I some of you are craving gum right now! Why shouldn’t students be able to chew gum at school? I think students should be able to chew gum at school because it has been scientifically proven that gum helps students focus. Chewing gum will send more oxygen to the brain and will improve memory. It will help during tests and just overall throughout the day.
Cell phones are bound to be a distraction but they can be a great tool when it comes to learning in school. Using a cell phone can help people to focus a lot better through texting and listening to music. For example, most people focus by drowning out distractions through music while they work. It helps them to understand what they’re learning at a faster rate. Texting helps because it can help the students to better understand the lesson they are learning through their friends at a quieter rate.
Imagine: you’re chewing your fresh new piece of green mint bubble gum. But then your teacher tells everyone in the class they aren’t allowed to chew gum because one person is being too distracting with their gum. Everyone has probably had gum at least once in their life. So why shouldn’t students be allowed to chew gum in school? Kids should be allowed to chew gum in school because it helps kids focus and deal with stress.
Most schools have vending machines that sell various kinds of candy and chips. Some schools go as far as having school stores. However, organizations such as the FDA think this is unhealthy for students, and should be banned. Schools should be allowed to have vending machines and school stores. Having vending machines and school stores are the easiest ways for schools to get students to buy things every day. Without these, many schools would not be able to afford to continue numerous school functions. Vending machines and school stores allow students more options for what to eat for lunch. As a student who is involved in sports and loves to exercise for fun, I personally think that schools should not ban candy and soda from schools. Even though we train hard and try to stay in condition as much as we can, we still like to have a few cheat days and eat sweets. It is a topic that I’m sure has crossed the minds of many schools, and some might have already taken action in removing these sugary treats from their schools. Let’s be honest, it isn’t right for schools to take away these things from the students. Candy and soda is what we snack on to hold off until lunch. Without these, students would begin to be hungry, thus making the student feeling drowsy and in some cases, forgetful.

An increasing number of students today are showing more signs of anxiety, stress, and ADHD. A solution to the issue is allowing children to chew gum while in the classroom. Students should be allowed to chew gum while in the classroom because they demonstrate increased memory and alertness, higher test scores and concentration, as well as decreased stress and anxiety (Pooley, Smith).

The Filipino oppression from civil guards, friars and other government officials was visible. Stressing our latest news on media, these characteristics are still being practiced by many. Senators, congressmen and other public officials abuse the power and authority vested to them by the people and by the constitution. They steal millions or even billions of public money for their own interest. Not just officials with higher positions, even the many employees of the government tend to waste their time doing meaningless tasks rather than doing their job well.
Today’s cell phone is the front line technology at our fingertips. Keeping this in mind the use of cell phones have become an affair when it comes to allowing teens to use them in educational environments, such as schools. One part of society supports the use of cell phones while the other part of society disapproves the use of cell phones. I personally believe that cell phones should not only be allowed in school, but cell phones should be mandatory just like a textbook. Cell phones do not only allow students to stay united with friends and family, but cell phones are also a magnificent learning system, and they boost the liable use of technology.
