Important aspects of being a self-directed, intrinsically motivated, and active learner are taking the initiative, comfortable being independent, persistent, responsible, self-disciplined, overcome obstacles, and confident. These are just some of the many aspects that describe a successful self-directed learner. By taking the initiative, they are taking charge of their learning and not waiting for others to tell them what they must learn. They must also learn to be independent and learn to be self-reliant in order to successfully continue their learning. Being persistent is also key in ensuring that you are motivated and willing to learn new things no matter the challenges that you face. Self-directed learners are also responsible and hold themselves responsible for doing their work and getting things done in a timely manner. In addition, self-learner must also be able to overcome any challenges that come their way and don't give up on their studies. One of my strengths is being comfortable with independence. I actually prefer to work independently as opposed to a team or group. I tend to get more work done and work more effectively on my own. I have always been self-reliant in ensuring the success of my learning career.
Another strength that I have is having a strong desire to learn and continue my education. Since a young age I have always wanted to learn more. I believe that education, knowledge, and wisdom are some of the most valuable things in the world. Knowledge is something that can last a lifetime which is more than any physical gift.
I have two weaknesses that I am currently trying to correct and improve
