A self-directed learner is a student with self-confidence that helps to study effectively, with ability to view problems as challenges not obstacles, with ability to set a plan or a schedule for completing a task at hand, taking initiative in every aspect of studies and do not wait to be told what to do, organizing time effectively in order to be productive at work. An intrinsically motivated person is a student who has a strong desire to learn. He understands study process as a positive way upward in life. He works towards a solution of a problem with a pleasure in finding the solution. He displays the readiness to learn and explore and doing so without a push. The area of personal strength first is the ability to take initiative, so this is carried out effectively by scheduling my time and work within the stipulated time frame of submitting a task or assignment. Second is a strong desire and willingness to learn without being motivated and excitement to know that I am working towards something which will make a positive impact in my life. The area of personal weakness in my opinion first is inappropriate peer assessing of a classmate's assignment and commenting on a not very satisfying work in a discussion forum that might cause an offense. Second, falling behind allocated time during the study process as a result of time mismanagement.
