Throughout my practice for the SAT, I have discovered which topics I need to continue to work on and others I excel in. I will base my schedule around this knowledge and attempt to be at my best for the SAT test date, which is March 11th.
This is not too far away, but I believe I should be able to handle it. For math I tend to be better at geometry; the class I am currently taking this school year. During the first semester I took just a regular class, but because I have understood the work so well I plan on going into honors. This should help me additionally prepare for any questions that relate to geometry in the SAT.
Other than that, there is the subject of algebra. While I remember the basics of algebra such as linear equations/inequalities and graphing them, I seem to have forgotten the more advanced algebra. This is an endless cycle, too; I will relearn these concepts but then forget it again a week later. To battle this, I plan on taking any extra time I have (including the weekends, if possible) and reteaching myself these concepts. This is because a few years ago I failed one of my math classes, which pushed me back a year (and consequently, I have been struggling with state tests and such every since). I will be sure to write down any new techniques I learn of in a journal and practice them along with the other problems.
As for English, I do not believe there is much extra practice needed to be done. As I am taking AP English already, I am learning what is expected of me in this aspect much faster than I am with math. Despite this, because I tend to write whenever ideas actually pop into my head, I will probably end up practicing outside of school
Over the course of this class I feel like I have become a much better writer. When I go back and look at some of my Journal entries and assignments that I did at the beginning of the semester, I can’t help but tense up at some of the things I wrote. Sometimes the things I was writing didn’t flow well, or I might have even have missed glaring grammar mistakes.

Writing has never been a strength I have possessed. English 102 has been difficult and challenging for me because I have had to move past the high school level of a basic book report or a five paragraph paper that has narrowed my ideas of writing for many years. Putting on paper what my thoughts are in a way that is logical and accurate for what the assignment is asking has been hard for me this semester. My ideas are now more involved because I have learned through English 102 how to develop my writing skills in different formats, for example, in an annotated bibliography and a research paper. P.S. When I was preparing to take the exam, I learned through friends, the internet, and mainly just figuring out for myself some tips and tricks that helped me score high. As a second language learner I have never expected myself to be a perfect writer throughout the semester. Even If English was my first language still, I would not be a perfect writer. It is not about first or second language, it is about how well I understand the learning objectives. Then organizing and writing with my own ideas and putting them in my paper. I am going to be honest, I am not good at English subject and English subject is my strongest weakness than the other subjects. In this paper I will discuss and analyze my own writing, reflecting on the ways that my writing has improved throughout the semester.
Similar to the quote Rev. Hawes said, my goal is not simple and will not be easy to reach. I will this school year will pass all my test, exams, and quizzes.My obstacle would be to get into the habit of studying and look back at my notes more. After that I would want to pay more attention in my class. Then I want to get into the habit of writing notes over again. Finally I want to take all the techniques I learned and use it to pass my quizzes and tests. I would like to make my first step to be August through September.
I have great study habits and don’t let very much interfere with this while I am working through a class. My family fully supports my decisions to return to school, and I am hoping that my life experience and maturity will keep me ahead of the curve. Hopefully, barring any unforeseen interference, I will be submitting my application by the summer of 2018. One semester at a time has become my mantra.
The test taking lessons have helped me learn more about having good strategies for a test. I feel that with these lessons learned I can have more confidence to take a test and pass it. In this report I want to show why test taking is an important skill to learn. I also wanted to describe how I have prepared for test in the past. I also wanted to discuss three strategies I have learned from the computer tutorial in class and how I have changed my study habits so I can do better on test.
Disillusioned Latin students, who cringe at the thought of repeatedly scribbling their grammar, are often told by their teachers, "Per repitio nos studiare," which translates to "through repetition we learn." Though this may seem hard to believe as their hands begin to cramp, it bears a certain amount of truth. As my grandfather once told me, "Experience is often the best teacher." Truly gaining an understanding of something often comes from repeated involvement.
The results of the PLAN gives us the estimated ACT score and our college readiness. My composite score was an eighteen. Although I want to score better, I was above the benchmark scores for the tenth grade in English and science. My reading and mathematics are below the benchmark scores. My scores were English, seventeen; mathematics, eighteen; reading, seventeen; and science, twenty-one. All together my estimated ACT composite score range is between a nineteen to twenty-three (ACT Incorporated).

I really didn't enjoy taking the SATs. SAT I cannot represent the individual knowledge of one particular test-taker, because the tests have been dissected in many prep-classes, designed to improve a student's score. However, these classes can be very expensive and give students who can afford the classes an unfair advantage. I scored well, but I hated all the drills to prepare; hated getting up early for it and hated being assigned to a testing site, which is far away from where I live. Inside the testing room, invigilators spend half an hour going through the forms and repeating basic test instructions and rules that we already know. One student raised his hand for a question, “sh … no questions allowed until the examiner comes around!” one invigilator answered without caring whether it was an emergency or not.
I plan to get A’s or, at least mostly A’s. As of right now I have an American College Testing score of 17, I need to raise that score up to at least a 20-24. I have been practicing for the ACT since last year. Somehow I always make a 17, it never goes up or down, this year i need to change that. Out of all my years of being in high school, I have never participated in anything. I never went to any school events, so as of this year that is all going to change. I need to start doing things my seniors, because if I do not, I know I will regret it. I have never been to any sporting events, because I have social anxiety when I am around too many people. Only one acronym has the ability to make any high school senior cringe: SAT. The exam will be the most nerve wracking four hours of your life. The silence of the room, the pronounced ticking of the clock, and going into a frenzy when the proctor says there’s five minutes left. This anxiety will consume you causing you to blank out if you don’t prepare properly. Believe it or not, the only thing worst then taking the SAT is waiting three weeks for the scores to be posted online. In the few seconds between clicking a button and the screen displaying your scores, you experience a gamut of emotions; from fearful, to nervous, to hopeful, and back to fearful. Students may argue that the purpose of this exam is to shatter your hopes and dreams, maybe even lower your self-esteem a few notches. However, according to the College Board website, the SAT serves as a method for universities and other institutions to measure your potential capabilities in college. To put it bluntly: your future is dependent on these scores.
