Introduction to the New United States Postal Service Exam 473-E
As a retired United States Postal employee, I can say from experience that becoming a postal employee is a life changing and rewarding experience. It’s conveys a sense of pride and accomplishment at the end of the workday. Furthermore, it can be an outstanding opportunity for someone without a degree or with limited formal education. Working for the Postal Service has the potential to improve a person’s quality of life with exceedingly competitive compensation and benefits. I began working for the Postal Service as a temporary employee, worked my way up through the ranks, and retired as a manager.
With that being said, anyone considering a job with the United States Postal Service should know it’s not an easy task to say the least.

P.S. When I was preparing to take the exam, I learned through friends, the internet, and mainly just figuring out for myself some tips and tricks that helped me score high. At this time, I’m working on a book that will share these tips with anyone about to take the exam. It will be available at www.tests.com along with this program. Keep your eyes open. It might have something that will give you an even bigger edge.

The U.S. Postal Service is one of the largest organizations in the world. In fiscal 2005, it had nearly 705,000 career employees and handled about 211 million pieces of mail through an extremely complicated system of carefully coordinated activities (United States Postal Service Annual report, 2005).
Environment Destroyer “One of the things the government can 't do is run anything. The only things our government runs are the post office and the railroads, and both of them are bankrupt.” These are the words of Lee Iacocca, and although Iacocca was sarcastic about the power of the government, what about the post office (post office quotes)? Is the fine, dandy, and efficient post office we had back in the 1800s still apart of our world today? According to PSB.Org the Post office is on it’s way to complete deterioration (Lee).
My greatest area of strength in assessment literacy is during the test administration, because I believe I do a wonderful job providing directions for the students, I monitor students and watch them to make sure they are not cheating with each other, and I make sure the testing environment is conducive to high achievement. When my tests are distributed to my students, I make sure to read the directions of each section of the students and ask my students if they need any more clarification on the section directions. If students forget the directions while the test is taking place, I make it a point to clarify for them in private and then announce to the class a reminder for each section. This usually happens when I monitor my students during the testing session. I make sure that I am visible and mobile inside my classroom. I want my students to do well on tests and gain confidence that they understand the concepts being tested, but I want my students to be self-motivated and self-reliant and to not look to their partners for the answers.
The first post office in the United States was established in seventeen seventy-five, which makes it the oldest most reliable post service in history. It is a well know fact that in the beginning, this business was called the Pony Express, which began in eighteen sixty. Years later the US Post office has become the largest company that we rely on to deliver our mail. This mailing institution delivers more mail to a larger area than any other delivery service in the world. They are rendering assistance to more than one million people in North America. There are over six hundred thousand employees and in excess of thirty four thousand facilities nationwide. This institution thrives to provide customer service, available products, transport of products, and accessibility to all consumers. The United States Postal Service is a reliable, excellent, and efficient delivery service. They supply a wide variety of convenient products to help with any shipping needs consumers may have.
First, you should find out about the format of each specific test by asking the teacher various questions. Ask what type of questions will appear on the test, and if they will be true or false, multiple choice, fill in, essay or all of these. You need to ask these questions because for each of the above test formats you will have different test preparation strategies. Moreover, an important question is whether the lecture material is emphasized more th...
The test taking lessons have helped me learn more about having good strategies for a test. I feel that with these lessons learned I can have more confidence to take a test and pass it. In this report I want to show why test taking is an important skill to learn. I also wanted to describe how I have prepared for test in the past. I also wanted to discuss three strategies I have learned from the computer tutorial in class and how I have changed my study habits so I can do better on test.
Three samples of 100-word passages were evaluated to determine the reading level of this brochure (Doak, Doak, & Root, 1996). Lastly, just doing your homework isn’t enough to be prepared for quizzes and tests, so use other methods that work best for you to study. Quizlet, flashcards, and study groups are helpful studying methods I used this year to help myself prepare for quizzes and tests. However, sometimes when I crammed all night on Quilt the night before a quiz or test, I became very stressed which could result in a worse quiz or test
In taking the multiple choice practice test over one hour I answered 30 questions correct out of 54. I feel like I did not do the best that I could on this test but at the same time it has given me insight to what I need to work on harder for the actual test.
The results of this study showed that that students scored significantly higher on both Exam I and III than they did on the pretests. Furthermore, on Exam I, students scored higher on the repeated questions seen on pretest I than the non-repeated questions.
Review all of the lessons at night before the examination is what the examinees usually do. Most examinees consider that if they read and prepare themselves for the exam too early, they might forget. The reason is understandable but the truth is it known to increase a lot of stress if examinee can’t perceive and remember the lesson. The important thing that can always raise the chance of performing well is to prepare themselves continuously and managing the time. The process of preparing for the examination can be described in four simple steps.
8.Do not get stressed after you are done with writing the examination -whatever is done cannot be undone. Do not compare yourself with others by asking how they answered the questions - it will only add to your worries. Think you will have a better luck next time. You are not the only one who has to go through the stressful period of exams, generations have appeared in the past for examinations and generations will be appearing in the future too. Bravely face what comes your way and go through all the difficulties with a calm and composed mind. You will have better days in store for you.
