Most of you may think that work & travel is just only to work with customers or visit a new place. Maybe for some people is just like that, but in my experience, it was much more than that. That’s why I’m going to talk you about it… The Beginning My journey started 6 months after I joined Intraway. My boss at that time came up to me and told me: “we need someone to fill a position in Claro Colombia”, which was the most important client for the Company. I’m not going to lie to you: at first, I was scared, thinking how I was going be able to manage that situation with only 6 months in the company but with a little help from Lucas, my boss, I decided to take a chance and go there…. If it’s your first time travelling and working, just some advice: …show more content…
I took a taxi and began the trip. The following day, which was Monday, I had to go to the client’s office, almost without knowing about the operation. I started wondering if it had been a good decision to go there. After two weeks, I was working a lot, as if I had been there for 5 months, thanks to the Technical Support & Professional Service team backing me up all the time. Last but not least, the support of the customer helped too. Some more advice, don’t think of the customers as if they were born just to kill you. They are there to do their work, the best way possible, so, if you give them some confidence and attention, they are going to understand your situation in there, and they are going to help you every time. I think there is a misunderstanding when thinking about this point; they want the same thing as you do, and so, why do we think that they are against us? After some months, I started thinking that it wasn’t so bad. I had created a strong relation with the customer, who some time before was “the enemy”, I had learned tons of new technical things and as if by chance, I ended up knowing a new country, new food, new all. From there on, the relation with the customer grew steadily to the level of being in Argentina and having a really good and different relationship of

In staging reality, setting is critical for both Chad and Undine’s performances. In expatriate fiction, Europe is associated with more freedom than Puritanical America and is used as a medium for performers to present and explore both themselves and cultural and social differences between their home in America and abroad. In Going Abroad, William Stowe suggests that Europe is a space in which higher class and non-essential laborers can “prepare for or advance their careers” (Stowe 7). As a continent with a vast collection of cultural goods, Europe conflicts with the barren American landscape. Acquiring a “Europeanized” persona helps Undine and Chad to gain experience that they employ at home, and cultural accumulation provides an advantage
What a strenuous occupation I’ve chosen! Always on the road, day out, day in. The rigors of the job are much greater than if I were working locally, and furthermore, the nuisances of traveling are always imposed upon me-the worries ...
He who does travel, does not know the value of men. Traveling is one of the most important things someone can achieve. If someone never travels they’ll never know the full extent of human accomplishments because they won't be there to admire the food, buildings, nature, animals, climate, people, and just everyday life in other cultures.
This is extremely important, as you will already be taking the time out of your daily schedule – you want to waste as little time as possible on travel. Further, you need to ask yourself how you will get there, directly from work or will you need to make a stop at home. Always keep in mind that wasting time on travel is the time you could have spent more appropriately – by spending time with family, studying or just taking a day off.
The meaning of anything and everything in this world is up to debate because of the differences between cultures, regions, and types of people cohabitating this planet. None of them have a solid “correct” form to live a healthy life, but with combined knowledge from many walks of life, it is possible to attain the powerful knowledge to enjoy that elusive healthy life. Travel is not typically a consideration within the health spectrum of a human being, but it has much more to deal with human well-being than many doctors will let on. Seeing the world will not drop ten pounds in two weeks, but what it will do, is broaden people’s perspectives on this world. It opens the mind into seeing how other people live, how the world functions, and viewing the raw natural beauty of undisturbed nature. Humans are of this earth and will return to it one day: it is important to understand where we come from and will eventually go, to maintain a healthy mentality. Now this may sound like the healthiest way to live life is to drop all worldly possessions and become a hippie traveling in a 1974 VW van, meeting all types of people; and that may be, it also may not be. Living healthy is like one of those college classes in which the only correct answer is to question; there is no definitive answer to be healthy, it is what best fits you. Traveling broadens horizons to open the possibilities of changing unhealthy lifestyles of under-traveled persons, allowing them to attain one of the thousands of possible healthy lives able to be
Being part of this study abroad was an experience unlike any other. That is to say, I experienced parts of my own culture that I had by no means witnessed before and I returned to the United States with a superior knowledge of my cultural roots. Similarly, as an educator after a week of teaching in Las Clavellinas I’ve gained an immense amount of understanding that would have taken me years to acquire in a traditional classroom setting in the United States. Consequently, this study abroad has confidently equipped me as an educator as I commence my teaching residency and for the real-world once I graduate and begin teaching.
Do you like to go to school for seven hours a day straight with no breaks? Mr. Hale please consider having a short break. Having a break would benefit the students. My professional development topic was time management. Ironically, I missed the first professional development assignment. Due to poor time management skills, I did not get the assignment turned in before midnight when it was due. The last 2 semesters at Ivy Tech, spring and summer 2016, I have had poor time management skills. Procrastination is a thing I have always struggled with, and something I want to work on.
The world is a magnificent place that’s full of life and new places. Places that are waiting to be walked upon and viewed by the eye’s of travelers. To make new memories and go places that is beyond the walls of reality and new pathways of life. To truly experience the wonders that the world has to offer can be expressed by the life of one single person, setting off into the world to gain a higher purpose about the world. Traveling individually enables people to broaden their minds and accumulate new ideas and new experiences both nationally and internationally. By setting off into the world a person has the ability to learn so many new things, but also find so much about themselves while in the process of traveling.
There is nothing quite like traveling, going someplace new and finding out more about the world and yourself. Anyone can become a traveler it just takes a little bit of faith and courage. Traveling across the world or even across the country is a learning experience. When you are a traveler you see how people live and how different cultures work. It is the best educational experience you could give yourself. You see how the world works in a way no one can teach you. Seeing different cultures and people help build the person you want to be. If you are a traveler the world influences you, because when traveling, you see the good and the bad, and you learn from the right and the wrong. I am very lucky that I am able to be a traveler and see this
Indeed, I admit that my experience in my clinical internship is much different in my industrial setting. I experienced the world of unemployed and employed people. I experienced to look for a job, pass resume, being interviewed and waiting for a call from a company. I admit that it’s really hard and tiring to look for a job. I was assigned in Human Capital specifically Compensation Division. At first, I find difficulty in adjusting to this
