Most of you may think that work & travel is just only to work with customers or visit a new place. Maybe for some people is just like that, but in my experience, it was much more than that. That’s why I’m going to talk you about it… The Beginning My journey started 6 months after I joined Intraway. My boss at that time came up to me and told me: “we need someone to fill a position in Claro Colombia”, which was the most important client for the Company. I took a taxi and began the trip. The following day, which was Monday, I had to go to the client’s office, almost without knowing about the operation. I started wondering if it had been a good decision to go there. After two weeks, I was working a lot, as if I had been there for 5 months, thanks to the Technical Support & Professional Service team backing me up all the time. Last but not least, the support of the customer helped too. Some more advice, don’t think of the customers as if they were born just to kill you. They are there to do their work, the best way possible, so, if you give them some confidence and attention, they are going to understand your situation in there, and they are going to help you every time. I think there is a misunderstanding when thinking about this point; they want the same thing as you do, and so, why do we think that they are against us? After some months, I started thinking that it wasn’t so bad. I had created a strong relation with the customer, who some time before was “the enemy”, I had learned tons of new technical things and as if by chance, I ended up knowing a new country, new food, new all.
