Reflective Action Plan
My goal: I am going to achieve standing firm when I need to. I need to have this as a goal, because I will be less successful and less respected if I falter in this area.
My action steps towards this goal will be the following:
• Assertiveness based on balance, being forthright about my wants and needs while considering the rights, needs, and wants of others. Knowing this, I will also have to remember that when I am assertive and ask for what I want, I may not always get it.
• I have to remind myself that aggressive behavior is not always based on winning. While I may view this as doing so in my best interest, I have to remember others rights, needs, feelings, and desires of those around me. When I take the aggressive behavior approach, I may end up having to get what I get.

This is probably one of the hardest, as a leader it is easy to do, but finding the right people and engage them in the process and continue to keep them motivated will mean in the end we will reap the risks and share in the rewards.

• By focusing on the solutions and not allowing myself nor my team to play in the blame game. I have been teaching in schools where fellow teachers play this game and become so toxic to those around them. There is not a single benefit to doing this. As a leader, if I allow this to happen, most likely, productivity will drop and in the end no one walks away unscathed. A productive leader analyzes the problem and identifies the source and then focuses on the resolution.

• By seeking and sharing knowledge. There is something to be said about being active and a continuous learner. However, what good is it by growing smarter if you don 't share that knowledge for the benefit of all involved? Of course it takes work and effort to create an effective process for teaching, but this is why excellent teachers garner so much respect and stay
