What is my personal purpose? Is a question that I have never thought to ask myself until recently. Then when I started learning more about a personal purpose I started wondering if I have one and what it was. I never thought of myself has having a real purpose until a watched an interview Will Smith had did and he had said “When your life means something to someone other than yourself than you have a purpose.” That is when I realized that I have a purpose. My purpose is that I am the hug that let others know it is going to be ok. My personal goals is to be genuinely happy with myself and life and to make my parents proud, my career goal is to own my own business and being successful at doing so, finally, my educational goal is to get my bachelors degree and grauate with honors and even moving on to getting my masters. Having goals is important to me because I know that while I am in the process of accomplishing them I will have something great to look forward to in the end. My long-term personal goal is to be at a place where I am genuinely happy with myself and my life and not allowing others and their opinions on me or what I have done or am doing in life to …show more content…
This academic goal is important to me because I have always had people tell me that I would not be able to do something and at one point I started to believe it, but I had seen a quote by Sugar Ray Robinson that read “To be a champ you have to believe in yourself when nobody else will.” By reading this quote and taking in what he was saying I realized I can not spend time trying to have others believe in me especially when it comes to academic goals. I realized that me graduating from college and getting a degree needs to be a goal I want to accomplish because I believe that I can and not a goal that I want to force others to believe I can especially when they do not believe in
Ever since I was little, I have always had very high career goals for myself. My short-term goal was to work hard throughout high school in order to be accepted to a university, which I accomplished by graduating with a 4.0 grade point average. My next step was to do well my freshman year of college at Eastern Michigan University in order to be accepted into their nursing program that is very competitive. I finished my first year of college with a 4.0 grade point average and was accepted into the nursing program. Now that I am in the program, my goal is to continue to do well in my studies by focusing on my courses and spending as much times as possible studying. I ended my first semester of nursing school with all As and one A- giving me an accumulative GPA of 3.98. I would like to graduate at the top of my nursing class, and I believe this is an achievable goal because I am a very driven and hard working person. When I want to achieve something I will do whatever it takes to do so.
This goal is important to me because it can help me to become a police officer, be more prepared in my career and it can help me to get more money and advance to higher positions within that career. When I had to do my career interview I asked the detective that I was interviewing if it was necessary to have a degree to be a police officer and she said most of the people how have degrees do get more money on their paychecks and that if they were to try for a promotion having a degree can help but it wouldn’t really do much else. After that interview, I knew that I wouldn’t technically need a degree but I decided that I would still get it because I felt that it would help me to learn more about that career field and the laws that they don’t teach in the police academy. This goal has a lot to do with my strengths especially futuristic, adaptability and learner. This ties to futuristic because the decision to college was made in order to have better chances in the future, it ties to adaptability because I would have to adapt to the different challenges I can face when I go to college like the different teachers, classes, and workloads of each semester, and it ties to learner because since I love to learn new things going to college opens opportunities to learn about anything I wanted and take

The goals I set for myself are plenty. There are goals that I am very passionate about. For one, I took a public speaking course this spring semester and loved it. In the letter I wrote that by the end of it I wanted to become someone who could take risks and be a confident individual. Slowly but surely I’m growing into that person. There was a lot of things I wrote that made me realize how upset I was with the person I used to be. I told myself not to be influenced by the media and to make choices for myself. Something that this class taught me to further accomplish. The ways in which my critical thinking has changed is by
As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. Having a job will not only help me make some
One primary long term goals that I have set for myself since freshman year was getting the best grades in high school and college to my own abilities. The way I reach this goal is that I use my time wisely in study halls or at home to get homework done. I work extremely hard in study halls to get as much homework done as I can because the less I take home the better because there are other things at home that I could be doing. Another one of my long term goals is going to college for something i 'll enjoy doing for the rest of the life. If I go to college to find a career that is not enjoyable than it could miserable going to work everyday. If you find a job that you enjoy you’ll never have to work a day in your life. I also try to set

I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
I would like to begin this assignment by first stating my career goals; as I move forward with the assignment I will then start my academic goal.
My experience with goal making has always been a rough affair. The goals were not a source of motivation or inspiration for me. Instead the goals were a one-time action and were never to be found again once written down. It is not that I did not want to succeed in my goals or get the satisfaction of completing my goals, it is simply that my goals did not fit my specific needs and were not easy to follow. It is only now that I realize my goals were far from specific and measurable, realistic and challenging, and within a timeframe. Within this framework for goals my goals can become more inspirational to me and become a part of my life rather than a passing event in my life.
After doing the developmental plan of my personal goal, I felt that this was an eye opener for me. I always have a plan just like a bucket list, but went I started writing out each topic of my personal goals and thought everything out it gave me a clear vision of what my goal really meant to me. It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication to finish my goal. Overtime the way people think can make their goals change. When I think of having goals, I think of something that I have always wanted and working hard for it. Having goals can make life easy, but having a plan on how to accomplish those specific goals will make life easier.
