How to Confront A Bully Most students or people have experienced being bullied of some magnitude. The main reason people are bullied is due to a low self esteem of the bully. The bully will make you feel like less of a person because they also have a negative view of themself. It is often very difficult for young people to understand how to handle or resolve being hurt by others. Confronting a bully is much simpler with a strong support system, self confidence, and positive motivation. First of all, there should be written recording of every instance of bullying that has occured. Keep in mind that the main reason people bully others is because they feel as though they are below them and want to make them feel like less of a person. Self confidence is needed to plan out what to say. Making sure there is a plan for the confrontation can make the situation less stressful on yourself. Once the speech is set, the next step is confrontation. Throughout this all, positive motivation should be maintained. If motivation is lost the goal of confrontation and resolution will be lost. There needs to be the drive to resolve the issue and make your life flow smoother. There should be no reason for negative effects on it from other people. Right before confrontation, choose the tone of voice to be smooth but stern. Make the demands known while remaining calm. Although planning out how to confront a bully may seem easy, many problems could arise. While seeking for assistance from adults, they may not have the time to assist in the process at the time.
