Positivity is a mindset. It took me a awhile to figure out how to be positive especially in times where everything feels as though it's crashing around me. Or when dreams felt like they could never come true. Princess Rapunzel never lost sight of her dream or the positive mind set she kept even at her lowest points. Like Rapunzel I try to live my life with positivity. I try to make everyday the best day ever.
My positivity has gotten me through many things. Like being positive even when I did fail every single test in pre-calc or when I swam a shitty time. I came to realize these small failures in life don't define me. This stuff happens to regular good people. Rapunzel lived in a tower with a wack “Mom” for 17 years of her life. She didn't complain though, she took everyday as it came and did not dwell on her situation.
Being positive gives me and people around me hope. Rapunzel gave hope to Flynn Ryder when he thought he was worthless. She gave him hope

I've learned this the hard way.
Living life with positivity has become apart of my life. Positivity does help me get through situations easier but that doesn't mean my dreams will come true. Rapunzel stayed positive about her one dream, seeing the lights, coming true for many years and finally it did. Unfortunately for me some of my dreams didn't come true. Even when I had all the positivity in the world and used up all my wishes on this dream it didn't work. The way I handled it though was after I let it sink in and suck for a while I decided it was time to find another dream. Positivity is laced through my life. Rapunzel and I live ours lives with thoughts that make life brighter. Positivity helps me have hope at all times for better things to come and in return lifts other people's spirits. It gives me confidence and a feeling of positive energy. Positivity can’t but our hopes and dreams but it can help begin your day believing it's going to be a great
Lucky’s Dream, a novel by Butch Mandatta Ponzio, begins with a prologue which, at first, cast a veil of confusion. This veil was somewhat lifted as I read further and began to piece together the foreshadowing presented in the prologue. Once I finished reading Part One: Waiting, I went back and reread the prologue, which cleared some of the confusion. It was then that I began to wonder if the “pup” from the prologue was in fact Jimmy. I question the meaning of “You shall fly between worlds. The world of the foolish People with little memory shall be your home, while the world of the Story shall be your salvation” (Ponzio, 1999). Could this possibly mean that if Jimmy is in the “pup” Coyote the Trickster refers to, then is he able to understand
Award-winning author Mandy Hale once stated, “Without negativity, life would be amazing.” However, this statement does not always prove to be true. Today’s modern community generates a judgement that negative experiences will ruin your life, but studies show that negativity can actually result in positive change. For example, negativity can positively change teenagers actions, introduce teenager’s to more supportive environments, and help fix broken relationships.
However, happiness also takes into account a wide range of other aspects of our lives, including our thoughts and actions, and even genetics. Therefore, happiness should be defined as the amalgamation of how we think and act, and how we interpret our experiences as positive or negative. What this means is that in order to become happier, we must simply force ourselves to become more optimistic. This is easier said than done, however. In order to have a noticeable increase in happiness, people must be willing to make lifestyle changes in addition to changing their mindset. However, the difference between optimism and delusion is a fine line, so people must be cautious to not exaggerate the positive parts of an experience or become overly optimistic. If we practice seeking out the positive views of our circumstances, with time we will find ourselves happier than

Having a positive outlook can be very important when being involved in a conflict or trying to solve one. This is how Anne Frank and Louise Ogawa from First Read: Dear Miss Breed got through the roughest times of their lives. They kept a positive outlook on things and tried to make the best of the worst. Just looking on the bright side, even if it feels like there isn’t one can make a huge difference. As a great thinker, such as Joyce Meyer, once said, ‘’A positive attitude gives you power over your circumstances instead of your circumstances, having power over you’’. If they did not maintain a positive outlook, then who knows how they would have survived. Having a positive outlook gives you the strength to keeping going
Sometimes, I will have friends come up to me with a difficulty and the only thought running through my head would be, “how can I make them see the positive side of this?” Positivity naturally encourages people to see an end to a difficulty and even see the light of the situation. Imparting optimism remains one of my principles in life, as I have seen it push people and myself to do amazing things. Eleanor Roosevelt is a remarkable woman as listed above, but above all, her commitment stands out the most.
If someone thinks negatively towards something the outcome will not be good, and vice versa. Thinking you can achieve the American dream is a major key in doing so, and some Americans are already on the right track. In the U.S., a survey showed that 36 percent of Americans say they have achieved the dream, and another 46 percent believe they are on the path of achieving it. It is not so easy, though, to always look on the bright side. Sometimes it seems as if nothing is going right; that is when negativity occurs. People can argue that mindset has little impact on the outcome, or that it does not matter how positive a person is because some things are just not meant to be. An article, however, proves this wrong. The paper argues how negative emotions prevent humans from flourishing; it also states, “if your ratio of positive to negative emotions is greater than 2.9013 to one, you will flourish both physically and psychologically.” If a person believes in themselves, they are more likely to accomplish their
What does it mean to be positive? Being positive is displaying affirmation, acceptance, or certainty toward an object, idea, or person. “Trauma is used when describing emotionally painful and distressing experiences or situations that can overwhelm a person’s ability to cope” (John A. Rich, Theodore Corbin, & Sandra Bloom, 2008. Trauma could include death, violence, verbal and nonverbal words and actions, discrimination, racism, etc. Trauma can have serious long-term effects on a person’s health, mental stability, and physical body.
Positivity is an important quality to develop because it is used everyday. The best way for me to turn my talent of positivity into a strength will be to practice it daily. When a situation doesn’t go as planned or something bad happens I should be able to look past that and not let it affect my entire day. The best way for me to practice this would to deal with situations that are stressful and learn how to see the positive side in the situation. I believe I can accomplish this in almost any daily activity because life is always about expecting the unexpected and learning to deal with it. Some examples StrengthsQuest gave would be to make learning fun, throwing study parties, and expressing positive attitudes about life to others. Having positivity as a strength will help me a lot in life, because I believe in order to be happy about life you must learn to think positive even when things aren’t going great. Avoid negative people who bring you down. Explain how enthusiasm is not simple naivety. I know bad things happen; choose to look past
Positive experiences can make someone a better person because people can learn from those positive experiences and use it to help someone else become a better person. One example is “One positive by-product of the Diamondbacks injury list has been the experience gain
We know that the mind clings to the negative — but research also shows us that 3 times more positive things happen to us than negative things every day. At any given time, a lot of things are going right in our lives. Either in our career or in our personal lives. It could be that you enjoy what you do at work, are grateful for the paycheck, or appreciate your organization’s values or benefits. It could be the joy you derive from your family, hobbies, sports, or community service. When we savor our experiences, we derive more pleasure and satisfaction from them. Spending time enjoying and feeling grateful for what is going right in your life will help you weather the rest. Caroline spent hours every week devoted to a community service activity from which she derived the joy and strength with which to face her other
Positive Psychology is the strengths and virtues a person or a community poses that lead to its optimal performance and allow it to thrive. This is a beneficial study that has the chance to improve the lives of many as well as preventing some negative situations. This review looks into what Positive Psychology is and how it impacts our lives. The sources I selected look into a broad overview of Positive Psychology, and it looks into deeper more specific aspects of Positive Psychology. This review has to lead me to believe that if we see ourselves and the future in a positive way it will have a positive effect on our lives.
Another way my happiness is developed in my life is from the people around me. My mother always told me to surround myself with positive people because they will lead you to live a positive lifestyle, and her advice has led me to become who I am today. Positivity is the basis of happiness in my eyes, for negativity leads to sadness and pain. Happiness is a positive feeling and is usually associated with positive connotations; therefore, I wrap my life in positivity to ensure happiness even through tough times.
For thousands of years humans have experienced a phenomenon which we describe today as dreaming. It has puzzled and sparked interest to all whom experience it. For as long as people have been dreaming, there have been people trying to understand and interpret them. This research paper examines the causation and deeper meaning of dreams. It will compare and contrast the differentiating ideas on the subject by famous psychologists and also examine first-hand accounts from real individuals. The objective of paper is to shed some light on this complex and bizarre behavior.
Not many people in the world today express happiness, we always hear about the bad and despair in the world around us. I try to stay happy and positive as much as I can, because I think happiness can be spread through the littlest things in life. In a world today where all you hear about is the bad going on around you, having something to hold onto and give you hope can change the outlook of that situation. I try to live all of my days by being positive and happy,
