Being a Gator Football Ambassador at my university, this developed an experience with interacting with a numerous amount of people and developing strategic plans. Not only have I helped organize these strategic plans, but have helped successfully put these plans into action and execute them in a timely manner. Also, setting aside from the planning side and focusing on communication, having great success in welcoming the recruits and making them feel
I went for the Career Network Event and it was a great learning experience for me. I went there trying to apply everything that I learned from my job search class and it was a success. Because I had the chance to speak to the employer of my interest, and I everything went as planned, I remember my professor in class told us to make sure we have a goal and to know which company that we would like to work for and just go for it. I went in there and I did the exact thing that he told us. I remember before taking this class I used to try to speak to every single one of employer and then I put everything in one folder. Later on when I went to contact the job that I was interested in, I would get all the employers mixed up and because of that, that cost me a lot of jobs that I always wanted in the past.
In my junior year of high school, I joined the leadership program called ASB, also known as associated student body. I had the honor and role of being the school’s unofficial videographer to promote events with videos and short films posted on our social media sites because of my passion for video editing and artistic abilities. I also became responsible as being chairman for one of our committees to organize special recognition events for our senior athletes. ASB made my work stressful and challenging, but it was a good way to connect with others.

My first goal after passing the Board of Certification exam for Athletic Training in April is to earn my Master’s degree while working as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Training department. In order to make sure that I am successful with my first goal, I am applying to over 25 schools across the nation. I have reached out to various athletic trainers in all different settings in order to make the connections needed to earn a Graduate Assistant position. I have attended Seahawk leadership conferences held on campus to build my leadership skills and I have held, and am currently holding, leadership positions in the other organizations that I am involved in on campus. I have earned supplemental experience in athletic training by working with the Wilmington Sharks, working as a camp counselor and lab assistant at the North Carolina Student Sports Medicine Symposium, and working with the UNCW Soccer youth camps over the summer. I also work to attend
I aspired to play a significant leadership role in all of the activities someday, and over the course of my high school career, I thankfully have. This year as a senior, the student body elected me as the president of Student Council; members of National Honor Society (NHS) did the same; future business leaders elected me as the vice president of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA); and I received the votes to secure the office of secretary in the local Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter. Coaches and teammates have named me as an important asset as well. Over the years, these opportunities have presented me with many chances to enjoy extracurricular involvement, meet new people, and mature into a
Growing up I was extremely blessed having an incredible coach at every level of sport I participated in. From those experiences I know how much a coach can make a difference in your life. For that reason my dream job is coaching college basketball at any division. It does not matter to me what level, because kids at the D-3 level need just as much guidance and help as student athletes at the D-1 level. During my coaching career I hope to blend two leadership styles in particular together in order to make my athletes better men, but also to keep the game they love fun to play. I feel by taking the Charismatic Leadership style’s enthusiasm and loyalty and mixing it with a Transformational Leaders innovation and emphasis on change, I can be an extremely effective and power leader for my student athletes.
is like to run a state park all in one. Some of my duties as the Operations Intern included running the visitor center, assisting with interpretive programs, answering basic questions about the park, park maintenance and basically helping other staff with any other projects they had planned for the day. I thoroughly enjoyed the days I got out of the visitor center and cleared trails and helped the CCM crews. Although I enjoyed being the Operations Intern, I enjoyed most the shifts I worked as a Security Ranger. After Security Ranger Training at Camp Ripley, I was able to pick up more shifts working security. As a Security Ranger I ensured park safety, assisted local law enforcement, enforced park rules, answered questions and assisted with
Healthcare administration is a field that is often overlooked, but is essentially the beating heart of any healthcare organization. With more and more hospital, and clinics, and other healthcare organizations popping up everywhere there is a need for people like me to manage the day-to-day operations. I am choosing to apply to this program because I want to study how the U.S. healthcare system operates. I want to learn the essential skills of operating a healthcare facility such as managing a budget, reducing healthcare costs, analyzing the efficiency of an organization and proposing ways to improve it. This program is going to give me the necessary education and skills so I can carry out my goal of being a healthcare administrator.
With the constant support from the Director of Athletic Development and Promotions, I was able to achieve a lot of goals I set for myself before joining the team. The most and confidence provided by my director was incredible and I am forever grateful for that. My director understanding my other campus commitments and allowing me to work from campus was a huge help, without this I would have not been able to achieve my goals. I will never forget the friendships I have made with the teams. I thoroughly enjoyed working for the two teams, they are not only hardworking but very respectful. I believe the future interns should also create this confidence level with their director that way they can discuss any issues easily. There should be more freedom given to the interns in terms of editing/making game day posters. The interns should use various photo editing software to create the home game posters as good advertisement posters attract a lot of peoples attention. Future interns should be more creative with their promotions and marketing strategies and do a lot of research before implementing any strategies. Lastly, with the new president coming to our university the future interns should come up with ideas to invite him to various athletics events in order to introduce him with our exceptional athletics program and get his support as he and his administration

As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. Having a job will not only help me make some
An engagement that gives me leadership skills is community services. I am always involved in these activities on a volunteer basis. I spend most of my holiday time participating in programs that provide meal services to the homeless and less fortunate. The social status of the poor predisposes them to numerous challenges in their lives. My engagement in these activities is facilitated by various non-governmental organizations related to human and social services delivery. Some of the services include providing these individuals with shelter and food. Also, on campus, I participate in multiple service activities. I helped explain the campus to inner-city school kids and Community College Students whom visited the campus.
Many students come to Howard University so that they can be the next ones listed on the long list of notable Alumni. Some of Howards Alumni have gone on to be the Attorney Generals, United State Senators, famous actors, doctors, lawyers etc. The list of notable alumni from the beloved Howard University can go on for days. In order to be the next one on that list Howard students must take advantage of every opportunity that they are given. One of those opportunities is through Howards many different career fairs.
As a child, have you ever been asked what do you want to be when you grow up? When I was little, all I ever wanted to do was open up my own dance company. I chose to study Business Administration because I love the feeling of being an in professional and sophisticated manner. I really feel as though choosing the business field was the best option I ever made for myself because I’m getting the opportunity to show many people out there how professional I can be and also the skills I have as a person.
Two years ago, I was writing my letter of intent for my application to the Master of Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Healthcare Administration revealing my failures, and most significantly, that I lost my passion and didn’t know where to start. I also conceded that I was relatively unaware of the field of Public Administration (PA). Little did I know, examining PA theories would enable me to connect the final dots in the big picture of my life, where I came from, who I’d come to be, what choices I’d made, the relationships I nurtured, and my dreams and desires for the future. Although confidence came slowly and awkwardly, I discovered my desire to contribute to the advancement of public health policies. I am writing to express my interest in continuing to the Doctoral program in the School of Public Administration at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). I am absolutely interested in the commitment to the advancement of knowledge, and confident my experience in higher education and academic research will contribute to my successful completion of the Ph.D. program, in the specialization area of public policy.
