As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. extra money, but it will give me experience for future jobs and give me a break from homework and classes. In order to balance schoolwork, clubs, activities, and a job, I will need to work on punctuality and time management. College will be a great time to improve such a skill, and I will carry it on throughout all I do in my future. Of course, though, college isn’t just about extracurricular activities and involvement, but it’s also about education. A big goal of mine for college is to be able to fully comprehend what is being taught and not just scrape my way through my classes. The only way to thrive and reach your full potential is to try your best and work hard. I plan to do both as I continue my education at Eau Claire. Coming from a town of around 4000 people, I am excited for the diversity that I will experience in the years to come. I will strive to be open to other opinions and perspectives and I hope to learn about other cultures and see from other points of view. When my time is up at UW Eau Claire, I aspire to go to law school.
Currently, my goal is to get into UW Madison, and getting my undergrad at Eau Claire will give me the education needed to continue with my career goals. I would like to be a corporate lawyer someday, working in a company’s law department. Even when I am out of higher education, I aim to be constantly learning new things to benefit myself and others as a professional in a work setting. By doing this, I will be able to better myself in my career and work my way up the corporate ladder. I want to be able to take constructive criticism in an acceptable manner in the workplace, which will only improve what I am doing. My college experience will help me with this if I work on taking constructive criticism positively at Eau Claire. I want to find satisfaction in my career and feel good about what I am doing. This will help me to perform tasks better and more timely. As well, I hope to make connections with coworkers and clients so work will be more enjoyable. employees. Something that I will work toward as both a career and life goal is to be financially stable.
Although money isn’t everything, being financially secure is very important. Money can’t buy love or happiness, but it makes life easier knowing you have a house to go home to, food in your fridge, and clothes to put on your back. My family had a hard time when I was growing up with making ends meet and I want to make sure that I do everything in my power to keep that from happening to my future family. If I apply myself in college and strive for knowledge, I will have the potential to become very adept in my field which will help me achieve my goal of financial stability because I’ll be able to keep a job. I also hope for my future that I stay open to new experiences, whatever the world may throw at me. I want to be able to travel and see new cultures, societies, and people. Hand-in-hand with traveling, I would love to volunteer all over the world, as well. I take great pride in doing volunteer work and it would be an enlightening experience to be able to help out around the world. Something else I am passionate about is music. I hope that I have the time and ability to continue on with my music career as my life progresses. Doing bands and music things at UWEC will help me to achieve this goal because I will learn immensely under great instruction. Going to UW Eau Claire will aid me in reaching all of these goals I have set myself. I am excited to see what my future holds for me
as I begin this new chapter in my life.
As I reflect on my college life, I wonder about the choices I have made that have led me to where I am today and that will guide me into shaping who I long to become. The things I have had to sacrifice, the support and experiences I have had with family, friends, strangers and work colleagues. I don’t know what I will be doing three months or thirty years from now but I do know that I want to have new experiences. When I graduated from high school, I knew I didn’t want to be that person that moved back to the same town and stayed there for the rest of my life. I even contemplate leaving the United States in my adult life. Who really knows, maybe those cards are still in the deck. For now, I know my immediate goals include focusing on completing my college education the best I can, and moving away from my comfort zone, broadening my horizons and taken risks.
I have always been a straight A student, so my number one academic goal is to maintain that streak all though college. Another goal of mine is to finish my core classes early so I can have a bump free senior year. By taking Dual credit and classes throughout the summer I can reduce my workload later on in the future. A third major goal of mine is to be accepted into the Andy Dekaney National Honors Society. As an active member of the NHS I can become more outgoing and have a chance to give back to the
that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field but I was not sure
Life goes on as well as we moving on, in order to live a happy life, money, passion, happiness and the meaning of it are essential keys. Among thousands of jobs and over billions of people, having a career or achieving a job is not only important but also competitive. Therefore, deciding what you are going to become has always been the toughest decision in life. I am not talking about Mozart, who was born to play and compose music, or Cristiano Ronaldo who decided to pursue for his career as a football player at the age of 14. I am talking about me and my just-found-out-career in a couple hours earlier, Nursing.
My goals in college are to get involved with student government, play lacrosse graduate in the top of my class all my life of being in school I was always active not just a regular student. Whether it was SGA or sports or volunteer work I was a part of it; all years of school levels I have graduated with honors and I do not want to see anything different now while I am in college. As we all know college is not a walk in the park and I am well aware of that. I have to really be on my game to accomplish my goal of graduating with honors. I am already on the way of my goal, I have already completed 3 business courses and am now on the process of taking one now. I have taken business law, introduction of business, and industrial business; I did not take them at Towson however they still transferred over as business courses.
“Never underestimate your own strength. You were born for a purpose and are blessed with the power to achieve it” (Leon Brown). I have this quote printed out and on the wall next to my door so I can see it every day as a reminder to myself. I believe that we all have a purpose on this earth and that everything we go through on the journey there has a reason whether to teach a lesson or set an example. We have places where we want to end up and goals we want to achieve. We set these goals and dreams to help us fulfill the purpose we see for ourselves. I believe my purpose is to help people in their times of need. To fulfill my purpose, I will need to use my personal, academic and career goals to create a pathway to get to where I want to be
In general, I do want to live a long and prosperous life. I also want to have a pleasing and a stable job, find love and eventually have a family of my own. However, there are two long-term goals that I have that can’t be accomplished unless I accomplish my short-term goals. One of those goals is to have a positive impact on others. I realized that one of the essential things about this goal is to better yourself. It is also essential to accept the fact that no one is flawless. Yes, there are narcissists that fail to admit that they are not flawless, however, their influence isn’t positive or helpful in the long run but rather damaging and cynical. By willing to be open-minded and experience new opportunities, I’ll have the tools I need to successfully have an impact on others. Finally, my last long-term goal is to go to law school and become a lawyer. It has been a dream of mine to be a lawyer due to the fact that I’ve always been passionate about issues and morals today. Not only do I want to express myself by doing what I love (public speaking), I also want to help people with whatever problems they face with the law. In order to complete this goal, I will be majoring in Communications. This major will help strengthen my writing skills and public speaking skills. This is crucial for someone who wants to attend law school. In addition, it will also broaden my knowledge by exposing me to potential career paths such as journalism or public relations. If I could reach these goals, I would feel ecstatic and

Throughout my life I have constantly faced challenges and set reasonable goals. Many of the goals I’ve set are short term and require multiple steps to achieve. One of those personal goals is to finish out the senior school year by taking advantage of as many opportunities as possible. As new chances come along throughout the school year, whether they be educational or extracurricular, my ultimate goal is to participate in as many of those activities as I can. My educational short term goal consists of the college process. The plan is to graduate high school with all the required forms and applications needed for college. All of these preparations have been inspired by the hope of a bright future and the idea that college will be much
My ultimate goal in my career is to make a commendable contribution to the computing world either by starting an innovative venture or doing research which would change the dimensions of future computing and the way we perceive the computers. Now I have determined that a dedicated higher study on Computer Science will enable me to aggregate all my previous knowledge & experience on the field and encourage in achieving my career goal. I am looking at Graduate studies to provide me with the required expertise to carry out higher studies.
Secondly, my intention is to attend and graduate from college. I have not chosen which college I will attend, however, I have narrowed down my options of colleges to those that would be the best fit for me and have the best programs for the field I want to enter. The programs of interest I want to attend college for are Agribusiness and Agricultural Mechanics. To reach this goal of graduating from college, I will strive in my educational endeavors to be rewarded with multiple scholarships and grants in order to help me financially in college. Also, during my time at the college of my choosing, I will be an avid student and show
For as long as I can remember, I have always enjoyed sharing stories with others. As a child, I would tell stories in any way I could. I would draw pictures, write short stories, and tell stories to anyone who would be willing to listen.
