This goal is important to me because growing up I always felt that I others around me were maturing faster than I was. I never and still have no idea what I value most in this life while others around me know from start to finish what it is that they want to do. Being raised in a military family, I have grown accustomed to being told what to do and how to do it that it has had a negative effect on my decision-making skills. My biggest obstacle is my indecisiveness, being unable to think for myself and being easy influenced by others as a result. One way that I can solve this issue is to talk about my feelings with councilors who are trained to deal with things like this. Another solution I could try is to write a list of all my interests and try to see if they are connected to life …show more content…
This goal is important to be because my family is my life, I would do anything for them and I want to be able to support my future family. This goal relates to my personal purpose statement because it shows that I am a person with drive and a passion for doing my best every time because I have something to work for. Having a family is a great motivational tool to drive a person to achieve their goals. Working as a team means that you build connections with the people around you and they become your family, a man who will work hard to provide for his family will also work hard to provide for his team. There is no physical obstacle to not achieving your career goals, the only obstacle is excuses. Reasons for why you can’t do something or reasons why you won’t do something. For me to get around these obstacles I need to stay focused and continue to ask myself “who am I doing this for?” “is this your best work?” keeping my mind on the end game which is doing my best work so I can bring home and provide for my

Taking the time to reflect on one’s career can increase self-awareness and enhance professional development. A career development plan is a confidential and integral document created by an individual which outlines the activities undertaken during their life. Hence, a professional development plan documents goals and skills required to accomplish dreams and aspirations. Moreover, a professional development program is reminiscent of ones’ past experiences and a glance at the future. Having a professional development plan in place is critical for graduate study to keep track of one’s progression. The principal purpose of a developmental plan is to give a description of my educational and professional background as well to explore my personal goals as it relates to my profession growth and development.
career journey. The career action plan that I have outlined provides a strategy to steer my chosen career in the right direction by offering assistance in managing my career path. It can also assist in developing the necessary skills and knowledge for the job and provide guidance on how to reach them. The outline helps to identify strengths and weaknesses, allowing me to work towards improving areas that need development to enhance my career.
In this assignment, I will endeavour to answer two main questions; “what is my career direction and why?”, and, “what personal skills, attributes and competencies do I need to develop?”. I will do this by first creating a personal SWOT analysis which will help identify areas of my personality and skills that could be improved. Following this, I will outline and justify my general career direction and where I aim to be in the near and long-term future.

The personal plan has enabled me to track myself on my developmental changes that are important for my achievement of set goals. Planning has also allowed me to keep track of all the steps that I will need to acquire skills and knowledge. I have also been able to see that if I continue in my current method I will not achieve all of my goals and through techniques such as SWOT analysis I have identified these areas and begun to create methods to fix this problem. The basic purpose of this essay is to point out my personal and professional skill development because these two areas are interwoven.
The main goal in life is to live by our beliefs and our values. These beliefs and values define who we are as a person and create how we behave towards others (Wright, 1). These beliefs and values can be defined as our personal core values. My personal core values include family, trust, honesty, friendship, and creativity, which define who I am, change from past to present, and could change again.
Discouragement can stop us from overcoming an obstacle. Never let your thoughts or emotions stop you, observe the obstacle as you would if someone else is facing it. We may see obstacles as a
A few personal goals that I have in life are to stay healthy and take care of myself after I am done playing college softball. I want to be able to work out when I can, eat healthy foods and take the vitamins our body needs daily. The steps needed to achieve this goal is to always put my health first, as long as I am staying with my diet and I will be able to achieve this goal. Another important goal of mine is to always stay close to my family no matter how far or close we are. Along with my friends, I know it is important to keep good relationships, because they can be by your side all your life.
My personal vision of the future is not something I have taken a significant amount of time to ponder in the past. Self-reflection on these characteristics and preferences are key to a developing a successful picture of the future.
In this ever evolving world, being able to establish a consistent area of interest is as elusive as being able to choose the perfect car. Every new course promises a new career option, every new research area hints at a new profession and every new product beckons future upgradation. This plethora of choices either inspires or perplexes. In my case I was lucky to experience the former outcome. The branch of mechanical engineering lured me into its reassuring yet exciting embrace at a very early age. The idea of a conventional mother branch like mechanical engineering conceiving advanced interdisciplinary design based applications like biomechanics, robotics seemed irresistible. The passion for science was already deep founded in me during my school days when I used to build various projects and models in science fair each year. My first multidisciplinary project was a fabricated human model to demonstrate the blood circulatory system by making use of mini centrifugal pump, red colored water and transparent pipes.
