The Student Government Association is a very important organization that makes a large impact on Willard High School. I would like to be a part of changing and improving how the school operates and is organized. I believe that being a part of SGA will be very beneficial in many aspects, including helping me learn how to be more confident in any future position and become a better leader. Each year, the members of this group have been in charge of bettering everyone’s experience and I qualify in aiding them in the upcoming year. In eighth and ninth grade, I was on the volleyball team. I learned and developed the ability to work with a team and contribute to the balance of everyone’s strengths and weaknesses. I also was on the track team from seventh through tenth grade. I competed in triple jump, an individual event. Through this, I learned how to be independent and acquire skills on my own. The clubs I have been in are FBLA, DECA, NHS, FCCLA, Willard Paws Club and Foreign Language Club. Being part of FBLA and DECA and competing in events have greatly improved my communication and business abilities. I understand what it means to be professional and respectful. Putting in hundreds of hours of work, I have helped Convoy of Hope, Ozarks Food Harvest, CARE, and the Southwest Humane Society. Through these experiences, I have witnessed the changes that need to be made and how they can be achieved. I also believe that I am a very organized and responsible person. Being proud of something can have many different meanings to people, but to me, it means to be honored and to be glad that something happened. I am proud about many things in my life but one thing I am extremely proud of is my induction into the NJHS. NJHS stands for National Junior Honor Society.
I’m so happy to be given the opportunity to join National Junior Honor Society(NJHS). I would love to be a member. I think it is important for kids to be involved in the community. Also, myself personally it would be an honor to be a face for our school.
The National Junior Honor Society is a very respected and prestigious organization that I would be glad to be a part of. The students involved exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, character, and knowledge. All of which are traits that are incredibly important in my own life. It is a tremendous honor to be considered for membership in the most prestigious Honor Society available at Wapato High School. The National Honor Society is a goal every student dreams of, often from their very first day of high school. I have been hoping for and working towards the opportunity to even write this application since the beginning of last year, and now that it comes time to finally put pen to paper (or finger to key in this case) I find it hard to express what an honor it is to be able to apply to this prestigious society. I have been a four year letter-winner in volleyball and basketball. Athletics have been a crucial part of developing my character and work ethic. In sports, you must work together with your team to reach your goals. Trust and communication skills are vital and are tested every day. The failure and setbacks I have faced through sports have helped me to believe in myself and have the self-confidence that it takes to be successful in athletics and in life. As a senior captain of the volleyball and basketball teams, my leadership has improved tremendously as high school has progressed. Being a leader holds me accountable and I aim to be a role model for younger teammates on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.
The National Honor Society is a very prestigious organization that I would love to be a part of. It was an honor to be nominated as a candidate. I am currently a sophomore in high school, and I have always wanted to be a member of the National Honor Society. As I look back over the years and think of the times I have attended the ceremonies and saw all the awards the members received, I recall saying to myself “That’s going to be me one day.”. I asked my teachers about all the requirements that had to be met to be a National Honor Society member and I made it my main goal to meet each and every one.
As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
The National Honor Society upholds four pillars of excellence that all members attain; scholarship, service, leadership, and character. While these four ideals are present in all members I believe that I withhold these characteristics, as well as numerous others, which qualifies me as an ideal scholar and member of the National Honor Society. These assets are not adequately portrayed in my application, but are equally important to scholarship, service, leadership, and character.

Throughout my life, I had always received recognition for being very agile and quick. My first day of Middle School consisted of the track and field coach attempting to persuade me to join the school’s athletics program. I had previously never been apart of an athletics team, and was willing to take advantage of the opportunity. Throughout my three years of middle school, I was the one consistent member of the school’s track and field team and had an overall successful personal record. Coaches from opposing school would praise me leaving me feeling very confident about myself.
Besides academics, fine arts and sports in school, I have attained leading roles in different groups. This year, I am the Spirit Leader of Student Council encouraging monthly goals and themes and assisting in school events.
