I believe that I am fully able to become a useful member of the National Honor Society due to the fact that I am hard working, reliable and honest, and I possess all the aspects required by this organization, such as scholarship, service, leadership, and character. ABSH Volleyball Tournament for three consecutive years, I have learned the importance of dedication and perseverance. I have also been in the school Gold Honor Roll these past three quarters in the 9th grade. The academic achievements I have performed are the result of my diligence and assurance that my membership in the National Honor Society is worthy. Not having much involvement with my local community motivates me to take a more active role in my community. I take it as my duty to help, serve, be an uplifting power and example for others in my community. When I do serve and help others the only payment I receive is the pleasure and satisfaction of helping others who need it. Serving other people by going to Casa Feliz and donating seafood every once in a while with my family to the nursing home in La Ceiba has made me eager to dedicate more of my time to them as I have enjoyed being able to help them one way or another. I know that being a member of the NHS will help me to contribute more in this area. It is challenging to narrow down the countless occasions in which I have shown strong leadership. In the 8th grade, I was chosen to participate in the AASCA Middle School Leadership Conference in Costa Rica. This invitation indicates that I place emphasis on standing out from the crowd and demonstrating my unique qualities. Afterwards, I participated in the Athletic Leadership Retreat. As a leader I have grown and have been able to develop my leadership skills even further. People usually come to me when they seek help either academically, for my strong moral compass, or to make the hard decisions. I end up making them with courage and clarity due to my analytical skills. It is important to make decisions and lead people, but I always keep in mind that it is equally as important to listen to others and be mindful of people’s feelings. I aim to lead with sincerity and people respect me for it. People are drawn to me as a leader because they trust in my ability to carry out the task successfully. There are great qualities in my character and the following are only a few of the many.
I tend to be analytical, as previously mentioned, and supportive of others. Upholding high principles of morality and ethics have made me flourish as I have a lot of empathy towards the needy. Due to my experiences and abilities as a student, I believe I can be considered a strong candidate for the National Honor Society as I will be able to contribute to society most effectively and reach my full potential in helping others. If I were to join the NHS, I would be given the opportunity to improve my perfomance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character, and also learn from others who are striving to do the same. National Honors Society is an extremely prestigious and well-known group that gave me the opportunity to assist the community while working harmoniously with my peers. To get into NHS, there are four pillars one must fulfill, including, scholar, service, leadership, and character. One may not realize it, but these qualities apply all throughout life. In order to be successful, one must achieve some form of each pillar. Being dedicated and committed to learning and improving but also using the knowledge one previously has is to be a scholar. National Technical Honor society is a prestigious club. Having the opportunity to apply for this prestigious society had left one honored. Being in such a prestigious program will open many more doors, and give one more opportunity to succeed in the future. I feel that all the candidates for this prestigious program have the grades and are all capable of being part of this program, but I also feel that by describing my unique set of skills I can merit membership into National Technical Honor Society and be a beneficial member.
I am exceptionally grateful for this opportunity to possibly be a member of this very prestigious organization. Every day I work tremendously hard to be noticed by both other scholars and my teachers. Now that an opportunity has come, I am truly excited to demonstrate and live by the values of The National Junior Honors Society. Being chosen for National Honor Society is a great honor, as it has proved that from my childhood till now my hard work has paid off. National Honor Society is constructed upon four fundamental pillars: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Each one is an important quality and is demonstrated throughout the organization’s leaders and members. They are taught and respected because of their huge impacts departed on the chapter’s surrounding schools and communities. Before I joined N.H.S., I displayed the four pillars in varies activities, groups, studies, and events. My acceptance into N.H.S presented many new prospects for me to join other organizations and projects. However, I still lacked in my confidence and could improve each attribute.
