I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It is an amazing opportunity anyone is lucky to have, and I am more than happy to accept it. I love helping people, being able to feel accomplished knowing I put a smile on someone’s face. Being in the National Junior Honor Society, I’d love to share my ideas and thoughts on how to make the world a better place. I volunteer in a lot of activities, especially considering I am a girl scout. We organize many drives for things such as food and sports equipment and everybody enjoys themselves while doing it. I volunteer at church sometimes, contributing my time to making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the hungry, instead of doing pointless things at home. Being a good person isn’t just about being kind to everyone around you. You have to put those great things about you into use and help your community. That’s what makes you a great choice for the National Junior Honor Society. …show more content…
Leadership is a quality that shows you’re not a follower and stand up for what is right, not what is popular.
It is the job of a leader to be a role model because people look up to you. Leadership is something I may have to work on a little because I am a shy person, but that doesn’t stop me. Last year, some 6th grade student were going to be selected to give a tour of the school to the 5th graders who were coming to Great Hollow the following year. My teacher was unsure that I would be a good choice because I am quiet in class. But I convinced him to let me be a tour guide and he was impressed with my performance. I was excited and talked to the students about the school and I was happy to be a leader and show the 5th graders what to do. I proved to myself I had
leadership. Character and Citizenship are important qualities because not only do you need to be kind to others, you also have to be honest, reliable, responsible, and have courtesy. I respect my family, friends, and even strangers. I am not quick to judge people based on their appearance. I try to include everyone and respect their beliefs and ideas. I listen to other people’s ideas before going with my own so we can compromise and everyone will be happy. I’m reliable and truthful to my word because I don’t want to let anyone down. It’s hard to get into a big fight with me, because I never want to start one, and I try to avoid getting too worked up about one tiny little mistake. I’m just trying to make everyone happy. It is an honor to be considered for the National Junior Honor Society and it made me realize how proud I am of my grades and effort to keep trying. Not everyone is as lucky as I am and I hope I get the chance to help the community even more than I do now. This has been an amazing opportunity. I hope to demonstrate service, leadership, character, and citizenship for everyone I can.
A good role model sets the path for others to follow, by being outstanding in all they do. Naturally, people learn by observing, more than by listening. This enables people learn what they can observe easily as compared to what they hear. When a leader becomes a role model, there is a likelihood they will comprehend better what the people being led go through, hence the leader will impose practical expectations on the followers (Charles 9).
When I think of NHS, leadership, character, community, and role modeling are all things that come to mind. Being a part of the National Honors Society will help me do just that. I have worked hard for outstanding grades, citizenship, and becoming a leader and role model for other classmates. That is why I believe I deserve a spot in the National Honor Society community.
To be in the National Junior Honor Society, one must have good citizenship and character. I seek to be a part of this society because it is a great honor and shows not only to others, but also to myself, how hard I have worked throughout my years at Northvale Public School. I take part in school activities and have helped my teachers, so that my classmates and myself can have a better learning experience. During Brain Busters meets, there are times that I am in charge of the group I am in and although it is a lot of responsibility, I know that my team depends on me to help them.
The National Junior Honor Society is a very respected and prestigious organization that I would be glad to be a part of. The students involved exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, character, and knowledge. All of which are traits that are incredibly important in my own life. I feel that each student with the privilege to commit to this foundation should devote some time and effort to those qualities. Scholarship has been a major part of my life since elementary school.
The four pillars of the prestigious National Honor Society demonstrate the traits I hope to continually develop: as a scholar, a leader, a volunteer and a person of strong moral fiber. I believe myself to be mature and motivated; I have an unyielding commitment to scholarship and intend to make a difference in the lives of everyone around me. The prospect of becoming a member has prompted me to take a look upon what I wish to accomplish as a part of this organization. By becoming an active participant, my goal is to enrich my school experience by means of volunteering in the community, serving as a role model for my peers, and fostering pride for our school.
It is with great honor to be considered among the students of my class to be a part of the National Honor Society. the National Honor Society (NHS) has been an organization that has displayed great interest to me, with new leadership skills and responsibilities to take upon. The National Honor Society is a very prestigious organization that I would love to be a part of. It was an honor to be nominated as a candidate. I am currently a sophomore in high school, and I have always wanted to be a member of the National Honor Society. As I look back over the years and think of the times I have attended the ceremonies and saw all the awards the members received, I recall saying to myself “That’s going to be me one day.”. I asked my teachers about all the requirements that had to be met to be a National Honor Society member and I made it my main goal to meet each and every one.
Throughout my first year in middle school I have really started taking great thought into my future. I have realized that I am getting closer to my adult life and that I need to start to plan for the type of future that I wish to have. As much as I enjoy team activities, I do think of myself as more of a leader and would like to go about planning my career in this way. I am determined to go about things at an advanced pace which is why I believe I should be part of the National Junior Honor Society.
The National Honor Society is, I believe, a very prestigious organization that lets exceling high school students continue going above and beyond by helping out in their communities and country. Therefore, I believe that I am a viable candidate to join this organization, not only have I had commendable grades in school, but I have been very involved in my community as well.
First and foremost, i am honored to be considered as a member of the National Honor Society. I believe the society does great things for communities and students across the country. As a member of the National Junior Honor Society at Conner Middle School i have been hopefully anticipating this opportunity. I truly think i will be a potent addition to the society due to my leadership, character, and service.
Being nominated for the National Honor Society is an honor and a privilege. Throughout my high school career at The Good Hope Country Day School, I have strove to achieve the best potential grades. Aside from academics, I also strive for success in athletics. I have been a member of my swim team for nine years. Presently, I am a co-captain of the team. From being a captain, I have learned the essential qualities needed for Leadership. I have learned how to create unity and build strength within a group, and how to cope with issues in a group. These skills can be used anywhere whether it be on the team, at school, or in the community. As a member of the Interact Club and Student Council I am very involved in the community service events and fundraisers, as well as events at school. Apart from school I lifeguard and teach swim lessons for community service. I am an extremely dedicated person. I follow a rigorous daily routine starting with practice, them school, then another practice and then home for homework. School, sports, and family have always been my top priorities. I believe that my leadership, positive attitude and determination for success will make me a great attribute to the National Honor Society. It would be an honor to be inducted into the National Honor Society.
I am honored to be considered as an upcoming member of the National Honor Society. Being a dedicated honor roll student, I believe I would be a great fit for the program. Personally, no characteristics stands out more to me than hard work and dedication. Although I know I will never be flawless, I consider striving for perfection to be my greatest quality. Whether it be working on an athletic skill or endeavoring to get an A on my English paper, I always try my best and results show. Grades are and always will be my top priority and it is not uncommon for me to spend a copious amount of time studying or doing homework outside of school. Involvement wise, I’ve participated on the high school volleyball and soccer team throughout my high school
I believe that I would be a valuable member to the National Honors Society because I have skills that allow me to be a positive example to others, and I have exceptional grades. I am also an extremely hard worker that strives to assist others. I want to join this organization because I have acquired great leadership abilities from my time teaching karate classes and swim lessons. When I set myself a goal, I won't stop until I reach it. With my leadership skills and knowledge, I will strive to be a useful asset to the National Honors Society and Cuba High School.
When I first came to McIntosh High School and stepped on the gym floor for my very first official workout with Coach Dowse, I was a young and overweight fourteen year old girl who loved to play basketball. If someone were to tell me that in just three short years I would become one of the very few African American captains in the history of our girls varsity basketball program, chances are I would have laughed at the assertion. Yet, here I am.
I believe that I would be a good representative for the National Junior Honor Society because I have great ideas and I am focused on making our community a better place. If I become a member I intend on holding fundraisers that can help people and animals who are in need. I think that holding campaigns for those less fortunate is very important because not only does it engage the public, but also it could be life changing for those in need. I also feel I would make a good representative because I am a straight A student and I am a hard worker. I work hard for what I want and I will not let anything get in my way. In my opinion, to be a member of the NJHS, one must possess certain qualities such as compassion, kindness, dedication, and motivation to make the world a better place, and I indeed have those qualities.
