I believe that I would be a good representative for the National Junior Honor Society because I have great ideas and I am focused on making our community a better place. If I become a member I intend on holding fundraisers that can help people and animals who are in need. I think that holding campaigns for those less fortunate is very important because not only does it engage the public, but also it could be life changing for those in need. I also feel I would make a good representative because I am a straight A student and I am a hard worker. I work hard for what I want and I will not let anything get in my way. In my opinion, to be a member of the NJHS, one must possess certain qualities such as compassion, kindness, dedication, and motivation to make the world a better place, and I indeed have those qualities. 2. If I am chosen to be a member, my intentions to make the organization better are holding fundraisers to help those in need and volunteering my time. I think that I can bring fresh, new ideas for charitable work. …show more content…
I would like the NJHS to be involved in services for veterans and active service members. I think that doing something for veterans and active soldiers is very important because while we are sitting at home watching television, active soldiers are out fighting for us. Many veterans are being treated unfairly, and it’s not ok. This is near and dear to my heart because my uncle, Ryan, is an army sergeant and is being deployed for 9 months this upcoming April. I also think it would be great to do something for animals. This is also dear to my heart because I had 2 dogs that died from cancer. I love animals so much and would love to do something for
National Technical Honor society is a prestigious club. Having the opportunity to apply for this prestigious society had left one honored. Being in such a prestigious program will open many more doors, and give one more opportunity to succeed in the future. I feel that all the candidates for this prestigious program have the grades and are all capable of being part of this program, but I also feel that by describing my unique set of skills I can merit membership into National Technical Honor Society and be a beneficial member.
Character to me is not doing good things to other people to look good, but to be good. I am always striving to help others out. I always am willing to invite someone lonely to a lunch table, or help others out while going class to class. I have organizational skills and am able to come up with many innovative ideas that will be beneficial to National Junior Honor Society. I am a great listener, but can step up to be a leader when needed. I am kind and polite, and always turn my work in on time and I also have never failed a class or subject in my life. I also have the ability to speak in front of large groups of people and present ideas. I think that I have a character that would really benefit in the National Junior Honor
I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It is an amazing opportunity anyone is lucky to have, and I am more than happy to accept it. I love helping people, being able to feel accomplished knowing I put a smile on someone’s face. Being in the National Junior Honor Society, I’d love to share my ideas and thoughts on how to make the world a better place.
Being nominated for National Junior Honor Society is a highly prestigious honor, and I am very grateful to be a candidate. To be a member of this prestigious organization means so much to me just to be invited to be one of its members. Leadership is a great skill to have. So, by being a member of this group I would be showing leadership. I am also a hard worker and a great role model who always helps others. I am confident in my leadership qualities and want to help the community. I plan to demonstrate leadership, create enthusiasm, and develop character for academic excellence while participating in NJHS. Whenever I set a goal, I am certain to achieve it. With my outstanding personality and traits, I plan to be useful to NJHS and my school.
...faith. Even though my friend lost his battle with esophageal cancer, he raised over $50,000 for the ACS with the help of our community, family, and friends. He wanted to repay ACS for what they did for him and wanted nothing more than to save someone else from what he was had to go through. ACS stayed by his side until the end giving him hope and support, and for that, I feel they are a remarkable organization.
I believe I have demonstrated the qualities to be a member of the National Honor Society because I want to be able to show people that I am a good citizen, leader and that I have a good judge of character. I am in key club because I have always liked to help around the community, but never got too many chances, with key club I get a lot of opportunities and I love it. I have also worked at the Hocking Hills Diner for the past two years. While working, I do not only run the cash register and seat people but I also make sure things run smoothly. I make sure my servers are doing what they need to and that all the customers are happy. If something is wrong, it is my job to fix it. Being a leader has taught me how to work as a team and make things
It was almost the end of eighth grade. The sun was out longer and the general joy of school about to end was in the air. Tests were over, most everything was over for the year. That was except for National Junior Honor Society inductions. NJHS is a program where kids with a good academic record come together to do various projects for our school. We were inducting new members into the program. It was a formal event with a solemn mood. For me, that event would have been mostly uneventful. We would just pass on lit candles to the new sixth and seventh graders. The officers, who were elected at the beginning of the year, would make speeches, but luckily, I wasn't one of them.
I believe I would be a valuable asset to National Honors Society because not only am I a dedicated student but a caring, disciplined classmate who will provide perspective to club discussions while contributing an open mind. I feel that I would gain a lot being in an environment with people who are just as committed to bettering themselves and the public. I would use these gained skills outside of the National Honor Society to help my community progress.
I am Gabrielle Gonzalez, and I wish to be a member of NJHS. Thus far, I have worked incredibly hard for my grades and being a member of NJHS is another step towards a successful future. I need to prove to myself that I can make my dreams come true and being a member of the society is an important step to doing that.
I am honored to be considered for National honor society and believe I would make a good and active member of this organization. Throughout high school, I have not been very involved in school activities, although I regret that I did not start sooner, I believe that National Honor Society is not only a very high achievement, but it also matches my beliefs and is something that I would like to participate in. Not only would I like to get more involved in the High School community, but also in the community as a whole. NHS provides this opportunity through community service and projects that require cooperation with my peers.
I consider myself an excellent candidate for the National Honors Society. I believe I am overall very well rounded in the areas of leadership, helping and giving to the community, and have a wonderful personality.
NJHS is not just made up of successful members, it’s also made up of hard working and motivated members. We strive to be the best we can, and that is why we got chosen for this honor society. I deeply care about NJHS, and am extremely ecstatic to be a part of this talented group of individuals. Today I would like to talk to you about why I should be a Community Service Chair. I am very organized and love to keep track of things, whether it be in a planner or a spreadsheet. As the Community Service Chairs keep logs of fundraising ideas and of people signed up for NJHS functions, this would be perfect the perfect job for me. I'm also very responsible and always get my work done, so nothing important would never be forgotten by me. I would never
I have enjoyed volunteering since I was fourteen years old. I would love to be a part of the fundraisers that the group organizes. I would be directly involved with supporting and setting up the fundraisers that help those with speech impediments such as cleft palates and hearing difficulties. The NSSLHA is a massive organization throughout the nation composed of speech pathologists, audiologists, hearing and speech personnel, and students. In a school-related career move, the group would help me with an application into graduate school in four years and provide me with connections with those who deal directly with speech pathology. In addition, the NSSLHA would help me find a job in my major as a branch of the American Speech-Language-Hearing
For most of my childhood, I have always been a helpful person. To me there is no greater joy than seeing another human being smile. Due to this belief, I am always looking for ways to help the less fortunate. But every project that I commenced and completed did not compare to what I discovered through my school's National Honor Society. When I joined this club, I did not know it would become such a crucial part of me through my high school career. For me, being part of the National Honor Society meant being part of something bigger and through it I could extend a giving hand and make a change in someone else's life. Although the National Honor Society has multiple pillars to uphold, I mainly focused on the service pillar, which meant giving
I believe that I am a qualified candidate for the New York State National Math Honor Society because I am an invested student. Throughout my school career I have always worked my hardest and tried my absolute best. When I start any project I like to see them through to the end. I think that being in the NYSMHS would benefit me a great deal in my future goals.
