I identify myself as a hard worker that seeks to succeed in everything that I attempt, with my most enduring quality being my perseverance. From the time I was a young child until the day that I die, I believe that everything that you do, including: sports, academics, personal relationships, and anything else that you plan to attempt, should be carried out with 110% of your ability. As future hall of fame shortstop and Yankee legend Derek Jeter once spoke, “there may be people who have more talent than you, but there's no excuse for anyone to work harder than you do”. This quote states that others may be more successful at certain undertakings, but that doesn’t excuse them from working harder. If you want success then you have got to put your heart and soul into making it come true. In other words, you need to go hard or go home.
I like to think of myself as an underdog in each endeavor, as I believe that the underdog works harder than the champ because he has something to prove to not only the rest of the world, but also to himself. The underdog needs to show everyone the heart and dedication that it takes to earn the title despite all the odds being stacked against him. Although turmoil and setbacks are bound to arise, our true character is shown in how we confront these unforeseen challenges. Nothing in

life is given, so we must always be prepared to fight for what we want or what we believe in. This mentality has always driven me to seek fulfillment of my goals by overcoming any obstacles may lay in my way. Lots of people never achieve their ambitions because they fear failure. These are the same people that when faced with turmoil or some kind of setback, often enough give up pursuit of their goals. I, on the other hand, use the experience as motivation to excel myself and constantly find new ways to improve myself. “The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and I don't care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done! Now if you know what you're worth then go out and get what you're worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that!” This line from Rocky Balboa greatly emphasizes the importance of perseverance.
You can’t expect success if you quit with each curveball that life throws at you, rather, what you need to do is to dig deep into your inner self and find the strength to keep moving forward in order to come out on top. That’s the message I try to send to people whenever I attempt something, no matter what challenge comes my way, I will overcome it and I will succeed. My goal is to prove to as many people as I possibly can through my perseverance and hard work that anything that you set your mind to can be achieved, especially if you have the heart and dedication to push
through.
If someone wants to succeed in life and stay recognized by superiors, then he or she ought to appear hardworking. A person begins with setting goals. There are two categories, the first, “be” goals and the second, “do” goals. In other words, ask yourself, "What to be?" or "What to achieve?" Four categories of goals consist of wealth, health, relationships, and self-fulfillment which equal success. Working diligently to finish a task demonstrates how to live a successful life. Given these points, Thomas Edison, Helen Keller and Harriet Tubman, all exceptional achievers, found that prosperity undoubtedly comes along for everyone who perseveres.
you succeed or will you fail? It is not for you to decide, you have
My philosophy of success, is me growing into the person I want to become and being comfortable with the choices I decide to make in life. Success is not something I can achieve overnight, it’s something I must plan for then proceed to working hard for it as well. Without hard work, there isn’t anything successful about the job I want to get done or the job I wish to get done. Doing anything without hard work and dedication, and expecting the best outcome is not success; it’s mediocrity. Being mediocre/ will only allow me or anyone else to have a ‘Victim’s Mindset.’
If at first you don’t succeed at what you want to do, try try again. If you give up, then you should look in the mirror and say “I am a quitter.”
To continue on there are always two options, just give up or keep on pushing until the goal has been reached. The people that decide to just quit most likely have a fixed mindset, while the people that don’t give up have a growth mindset. Eduardo Briceno discusses that when obtaining a growth mindset, setbacks don’t take a toll on the person, they will continue to press on until the goal has been reached. Briceno’s point is that when you realize that anything is possible, then you bring yourself to new levels. Overall having a growth mindset allows people to complete any realistic goal that they
Through my experiences, I have learned to never give up nor let anyone or anything get in the way of what you are truly passionate
Throughout my life, my work ethic, my mental strength, and the skills I have learned, are largely because of my athletic background and all of the things I have gone through with them. To be good at sports, one does not have to
Professionals state that the primary distinction between someone that is successful along with someone who does not is, those who are generally successful consider precisely what the final result is going to be, however those who are not successful (as well as those who do not genuinely try) concentrate on what they've to endure. Keep in mind just what life is going to be like after you stop, and trust me when I say that your life is destined to be just the way you want it, IF you take the steps you should do to get there.
Hard work is something that was drilled into me from my high school track coach. If you're going to want to be something you have to put the work in he always said. He always wanted our team to be a family and work hard together. He never wanted to have someone ever doubt how hard we worked for what we earned.
Believing that hard work pays off in the end is more than an idea to motivate an individual, it is the difference between the ability to strive for success or the breaking point for an individual who believes in “I can’t.” An individual who has the desire for success and believes he or she can achieve anything has the ability to go far. Success for college and beyond is established through the vital skills of motivation, responsibility, and strength. To master all three items is to find success.
Quote: Failure is proof you are trying, and enough trying will help you suceed. - Unknown There was a point in my life when I was around the age of five where I started trying many things, and I would fail at most of the things I tried. The first time I went ice skating is a example. I made a giant fool of myself trying to skate around the rink by falling over no less than 10 times in less than a few minutes.
Fortunately, life has taught me that it is better to rely on studying, practice, and God rather than your own intelligence, athletic skill, or luck. No matter what area of life, success takes a little bit of hard work. The many people and events I’ve encountered throughout my years have “provided a sound basis for my attitudes and conduct from that day to this.”
I aspire to be the person who works hard to achieve her goals but is also resilient enough to understand failures. Proud of my accomplishments, but also humble amongst my friends and family. I believe the key to life is balance: working hard but also appreciating moments to rest, and enjoying the fruits of my labor. Throughout my life, the stories I’ve heard from my mentors and friends have inspired me to create my own success.
It's easy to say that you want to be a successful athlete. You can either lower goals to match your effort or you can raise your effort to match your goals. There is no right answer. But if you're truly motivated to be successful, you better make sure you're doing the work necessary to achieve your goals.
This was the lesson I learnt from my father, an unceasing learner and a person who would never give up no matter how many and how difficult the obstacles may be. Having understood from him that success is a moving target, the years of my life with my family have inculcated in me a desire to achieve perfection.
