Hard work is something that was drilled into me from my high school track coach. If you're going to want to be something you have to put the work in he always said. He always wanted our team to be a family and work hard together. He never wanted to have someone ever doubt how hard we worked for what we earned.
He told me If I never wanted to be good as one of my teammates i'd have to work for it and change my attitude. That summer I spent most of my summer working out and getting ready for the upcoming season. I started doing it by myself then I started to get more and more guys come. That group of guys I worked out with are like my family I spent so much time that summer working out with one group of guys. We all changed our work habits and

started to push each other more and more everyday. I didn't only put in a lot of hard work in sports, but also in school too. I had a terrible first two years of high school passing most of my classes with D’s. One of my teachers came up to me and told me I needed to put hard work in if I wanted to pass at all and do something about my grades. My last two years of high school, I took some hard classes not super hard, but still a challenge for me. Those last two years I worked my butt off to get all B’s that was probably the hardest thing i've ever done, I'm not much of a school person but I put the work in and It definitely paid off. I put a lot of hard work in throughout my High school career but I never had a job through high school and i learned how hard it is to have a job.
My mother works in Steelcase Wood I obtained a job there and man was it a pain going from high school straight into the workforce; Working 40 plus hours some weeks and not having any time to be a teen. It was tough working that much in a factory with people always trying to blame the newbie on things. But I knew I needed to work hard and push through all the crap cause my parents weren't going to pay for all my college expenses. I worked my butt off sometimes staying over and getting close to 50 hour weeks wanting to quit but I never did. In the end it was all worth it cause now I'm furthering my education.
It all started with my track coach telling me i needed to work harder and that has driven me to work harder for longer than just one track season. Hard work is something that you either have or don't have you can't be “semi hard working” you either work hard or you're lazy. I'm happy I have that trait in my life I hope it stays with me the rest of my life cause hard work beats talent when talent doesn't show up. In the end if you put the work in great things will happen and it will pay
off.
There are many crucial elements college students must have in order to obtain success. The most valuable aspect of self-improvement for a college student to have starts with grit. Grit can be obtained through keeping one’s goals in mind, sticking to a schedule, and staying resilient to animosity. Grit is defined as using perseverance and passion for the goals one has. Someone with grit has courage, resolve and a strong character. Try to picture a person clenching their teeth while faced with a difficult tack, yet they conquer it anyway.
In my life, I had not had the chance to be a part of something that influenced me much, until I joined football my freshman year in high school. Joining football was perhaps the most devoted and wisest thing that I did because shortly after joining I began to see changes for the better, and from then I saw the person that I wanted to be in the future. In other words, it shaped the person that I am today and will be for the rest of my life. Not only did the sport influence me but it also equipped me with a new mindset that affects me today in my decision making skills, time management and many other beneficial life virtues. I believe that these virtues will bring me success in the nearest future because I feel confident about myself and I feel more in control in my life through my actions, all thanks to simply joining what seemed to be a “regular” extracurricular.
In today’s society, hard work seems to be forgotten, or merely just unrealistic. Whether it be in the work field or athletics, many get things simply handed to them. As I begin my final journey and the final four years of my softball career, I look back and reminisce on all the obstacles I have had to overcome throughout my softball journey. I know what it is like to work hard for something you have always dreamt of, but others told you that you would never be able to accomplish it, what it is like to put in work for something you love, without knowing if it will pay off.
Throughout my life, my work ethic, my mental strength, and the skills I have learned, are largely because of my athletic background and all of the things I have gone through with them. To be good at sports, one does not have to
I was raised with the mindset that if you are going to do something, you might as well be proud of it. I want to set goals for my performance and attempt as much as I can reach my goals.
It is not as easy as people say and think it is. It is more fun than how some people describe. The experience is beneficial for everyone to have. It has the potential to be a new start and the beginning of a bright future. It can bring a new career to an individual. Being a college student is what I’m talking about. There are a number of varying points of view on college.
In the book Outliers, and in the articles, “Meaningful Work”, “Do, Just, Do: A Journey to Meaningful, Satisfying work”, and “ You Wont Find Meaningful work Looking Outside Yourself”, The authors Malcolm Gladwell, Michael F. Steger, Lori Deschene, and Keven wood describe what the joy of meaningful is to them.Life is what you make of it and it’s and up to you to decide what you will get out of it. Some people may work eight hour shifts Monday through Friday miserable, exhausted, depressed, unhappy, and under a lot of pressure and stress from their jobs. Others may do the same, similar, or different jobs being comfortable, happy with life, and pleased with their job position. Your job should be one of the most important things to you because you are there on average forty hours a week and most of your time is spent there. It should be important that you enjoy what you do because it is practically your second home. Meaningful work is a job you enjoy doing, are compassionate about, never tired of, and do for the fulfillment of yourself , it is important to success because if one enjoys what they do opportunities in their career path will only expand.
I decided that I wanted to play a sport, I chose volleyball. Most of my friends played the sport so it wasn't hard for me to adjust and make new friends. Becoming a student athlete was a big adjustment for me, I could no longer float through my classes but I need to excel. And that's exactly what I did. For the first time in my high school career I made not only honor roll, but principal’s honor roll. For the first time my mom was proud of my report card, that made me even more proud. From then on I knew I wanted nothing less than what I earned, good grades and a proud family. From my decision to chose to become a student athlete not only make me work harder but, be great at everything I put my mind to. I had motivation to stay successful, to stay eligible. Three years ago if you were to ask me where I thought I would be my senior year, I probably would have told you low level classes barely making it by. Now here I am today excelling in my education preparing to take the next step in my future, college. Even if we don’t understand why we go through them, we have to be willing to let our obstacles become out
What do people think about their life purpose? Most of us think about life that is studying hard in order to get a wonderful job, working hard, and getting married. They have dreamed of one day having an eternal vacation for themselves and not having to work anymore. The traditional people around the world consider that overworking is an essential condition for the early stage of their life. Especially in most of Asian countries, the average workweek is 48 hours. According to the fulltime employment, people work 35 to 40 hours per week to be defined as full-time. If more than that number, that should be considered overworking. Overworking is an important issue because that can lead to some serious consequences. Thus, we should consider work-life balance more seriously.
It is very common that many high school students hold part time jobs while going to school. When these teens work, they are able to learn and experience life lessons from ethical and moral work. Knowing that school is aways and should be a priority, students should work while in high school because working helps students be more responsible with their lives, help them practice time managment, and also helps students see and experience the real world.
Hard work is challenging work. But why does it have to be challenging work? Because challenging work, when intelligently chosen, pays off. It’s the work that people of lesser character will avoid. And if you infer that I’m saying people who avoid challenging work have a character flaw, you’re right… and a serious one at that. If you avoid challenging work, you avoid doing what it takes to succeed. To keep your muscles strong or your mind sharp, you need to challenge them. To do only what’s easy will lead to physical and mental flabbiness and very mediocre results, followed by a great deal of time and effort spent justifying why such flabbiness is OK, instead of stepping up and taking on some real challenges.
look at all the famous people you admire. How do you think they’ve gotten to where they are today? The answer is hard work. Actors, singers, athletes, and everyone else who is famous all had to put in hard work to achieve the lifestyle and dream that they are living today. They were determined to work hard because they knew what they wanted in life and never took no as an answer. Brandon Ingram is a perfect example. Brandon is nineteen years old and is a professional basketball player. In middle and high school, he was determined to be in the NBA, so he was always in the gym. Brandon never attended parties or hung out like an average teenager. He was only focused on his school work and basketball. Determined to make it out, during his senior year in high school Brandon received several offers to play college basketball. Which eventually helped him to begin a career in the

Many high school graduates over stress about college because of tuition, how they are going to live on campus, and their academic performance during their high school year. Some think that college costs too much and that they are not many scholarships available, but what they do not acknowledge is that actually experiencing it in person can change their viewpoint on college. While many students are afraid that college will leave them with too much debt, the reality is that attending college with financial aid will help them prepare for the future, gain more knowledge, and understand the benefit of getting a college degree.
Long working hours continue to be one of the largest health concerns in the world. Currently, the world population has become so busy due to the pressure from harsh economic conditions.
