Professionals state that the primary distinction between someone that is successful along with someone who does not is, those who are generally successful consider precisely what the final result is going to be, however those who are not successful (as well as those who do not genuinely try) concentrate on what they've to endure. Keep in mind just what life is going to be like after you stop, and trust me when I say that your life is destined to be just the way you want it, IF you take the steps you should do to get there.
When you finally tell yourself 'never again, I'll never smoke weed again and that I won't live this way anymore' this is where you have to be in your own head to be able to stop smoking weed. There are also things to inspire you right away. For example, if you spend typically $ 50 per week on weed that adds up to as much as $2000 dollars each year: just how much have you spent just to experience depression, paranoia or numbness? What could you have done, where could you have gone, just how much more well off would you be right now if all of that money hadn't gone up in
Generally speaking, success isn’t just about what you accomplish in life, it’s how you accomplished it and the impact you
It’s not a matter of willpower. They cannot just stop on their own or they would. No one wants to be an addict….People who say they can control it don’t understand the nature of the disease, because the disease is in control” (Sheff, 150). For many, individuals find something that makes them feel better and fills the void albeit temporarily. Then, they keep going after it to achieve the same feelings as before, and while some habits satisfy the user every time, others have to chase the dragon and are never able to experience that first sensation again. Before they know it, they use that substance as a crutch, and they cannot function without it. Though some people may manage to wriggle their way out of their habits slowly but surely, others fall victim to their own self-destruction before they can even begin to put a halt to it. Yet, there is always hope. With the support of others, encouragement, motivation, and patience, there are ways to prevent further usage or consumption. It takes quite a bit of determination to go through recovery because of relapse, but “relapse is a part of recovery” (Sheff, 167). Even still, life doesn’t have to
First of all, some people feel smoking marijuana can get hyper, which providing them the emotion of happiness, and helping them to see the world from a different perspective. However, marijuana will cause a lot of healthy problems to human’s body. Marijuana has many physical effects on human such as rapid heart rate, red eyes and dry mouth. Because the chemical THC will enter into the body when people are smoking it, THC will enter through the bloodstream to the brain. The chemical affects them to feel ecstasy and unreality; therefore, THC will make them feel more confused if people smoke marijuana for a long time. According to, “ Treat marijuana abuse like a health problem” (McMillan, 2007, July 17), it shows using marijuana can cause more serious health issues on human’s body such as bronchitis, emphysema, and cancer. Before the addiction is in full swing, there are various stages the user will experience. There are many stages that the user will go through. The first stage would be experimentation. At this point, the person is not considered a user, yet. They are curious about the substance, the effects and the attraction that others also have in the substance. They may have friends or family members that talk about it. It may have been a case of peer pressure the first time the person uses the substance, or the person may try it as a coping mechanism to deal with stressful situations, such as the loss of a loved one, or a job. For some individuals it goes no further than the experimentation stage, for others it begins the “recreati...
It was a tough behavior to quit without some considerable trauma for over the course of almost six weeks there was an experience of mild to severe triggers, and changes in mood which caused minor relational issues, and most often excuse for lapse. Mild changes in mood that were experienced were boredom, isolation and loneliness. Though, these mild irritating changes in mood, at times, turned occasionally severe. The changes became apparent and were not easily ignored. When first starting the experience, the over-confidence was deceptive, as I was oblivious to how the importance of triggers in relation to addiction should be noticed. Feelings before I started were that those who are addicted have a free choice to stop anytime they choose, and that they should be able to control their urges if they wanted. As the experiment started to progress I started to experience triggers such as doing my homework late when I got home from work, forgetting to eat, then automatically going to the fridge for food. This was my nightly routine that there was a dependency on. It was very far into the experience when I lapsed into previous behavior and found myself eating on que after the time
...re lighting up next time. Maybe they will wonder just what harm they have done to their body already. Many people that smoke marijuana have the effects that are discussed in this paper. It can plainly be seen, their lack of motivation and kind of "spacey ness" that is commonly associated with marijuana smoking. I often wonder what these people would be like if they stopped their use and allowed themselves to rid their body of the drug and its by-products. Marijuana use is still very popular throughout the United States, and the fact that people are not educated enough about its effects is very detrimental. These people are hurting themselves, and they don't know (and many just don't care) what they are doing to their bodies. If marijuana use continues to grow too much, we may have a country of unmotivated people, with many more health problems. Where will we be then?
Hypnosis often takes multiple sessions, and a combination of approaches, to reach your goal. Hypnosis could be combined with cognitive behavioral strategies, an awareness of nutrition and exercise, and an avoidance of smoking triggers to help make smoking cessation successful. Regardless of which treatment you use, smoking cessation requires motivation and social support and often times several attempts before it is successful. But all the benefits of quitting smoking are clear and it is a worthwhile goal.
I tried marijuana when I was in High School. Marijuana affects everyone differently, some people like it and some do not. After four years of occasional smoking I decided to quit last year. The good thing about marijuana is that you cannot get physically addicted to it. Many people including myself decided to stop smoking, and many have done it successfully. The effects that I experienced are: extreme stupidity, laughing for no reason, paranoia, and extreme laziness next morning. Paranoia is the worst effect of marijuana. When a person is paranoid, he/she starts thinking about the negative things which are hiding deep inside h...

Normally, a lot of people assumed that because of the lack of moral principles and willpower, the drug abusers cannot stop abusing through changing their behavior (NIH 2012).
