My philosophy of success, is me growing into the person I want to become and being comfortable with the choices I decide to make in life. Success is not something I can achieve overnight, it’s something I must plan for then proceed to working hard for it as well. Without hard work, there isn’t anything successful about the job I want to get done or the job I wish to get done. Doing anything without hard work and dedication, and expecting the best outcome is not success; it’s mediocrity. Being mediocre/ will only allow me or anyone else to have a ‘Victim’s Mindset.’ One concept that I have to keep in mind about being successful, is that I must ‘Accept Personal Responsibility’. Accepting Personal Pesponsibility allows me to see where I …show more content…
Reason being is because, I have to learn how to build relationships the right way so that I may be open up to opportunities that could help me with my success. I must do this because, once I am opened up to an opportunity then I could look out for another opportunity for someone else that I may know and is willing to work to keep the offer; it’s all about helping others to rise as well as yourself. I also have to keep in mind that not only do I have to build relationships, but the relationships I build must be supportive of my goals, dreams and success plans, otherwise I will be filled with negativity. My philosophy of success as stated before, is that mediocrity is not an option for me simply because there is no possible way I can get through with my success and be mediocre. There is not one single person that is successful and did not put forth the effort and put in the hard work to get where they are in this day and age. I personally do not believe that it is possible to become successful without; Accepting Personal Responsibility, Discovering Self-Motivation, and Employing Interdependence. Those are all skills that everyone need to achieve the goals they wish to achieve in
Generally speaking, success isn’t just about what you accomplish in life, it’s how you accomplished it and the impact you
´´ If one advances confident in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. ’’ These words were spoken by Henry David Thoreau.Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of one´s life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and achieve all of their dreams. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. It does not matter how related they are to each other in certain áreas they always have a different point of view of what success really is. For some success is measured by social status and wealth
Success is a very personalized term. It can be defined in many different ways and like itself there are also many ways to achieve it. Success is a term that everyone has a different opinion on but one thing remains the same: we all want to be successful. We all want to be good at the things we desire most. Two great activists for the cause of success are Arnold Schwarzenegger and Greg Plitt. Both are men who demand great respect. Not only for being at the top of their classes but for also going beyond that and topping many of the ranks for things they are passionate about. Their success not only was noticed but radiated into the minds of people and children everywhere inspiring them to be great. Though they may have their differences both men
There is no concrete definition for success, and there is not a foolproof way to obtain it, but it is something many strive for. In Outliers: The Story of Success, Malcolm Gladwell explains, with examples of successful people throughout history, that hard work along with a little bit of luck and willingness to seize every opportunity is the only way to become successful. Malcolm Gladwell illustrates throughout the story external factors that are mostly uncontrollable and internal factors like hard work that are very controllable lead to these outliers and unimaginable success stories.
Hard work helps toward leading a happy and successful life. If you want to be successful, set goals and do your best to work hard and reach them. In the article, How 9 Incredibly Successful People Define Success, Drake Baer quotes nine different people with different definitions of success. One person Baer quotes is John Wooden who talks about doing your best, “Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.” His views on success in part, agree with my views on success. Doing your best will help you to reach for your goals. In the same article, Baer researches Winston Churchill, a British politician, “Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.” Both Churchill and I hold the opinion that even if you fail, you should get up and keep going. To not think of it as a failure, but think of it as a lesson on what not to do next time. For example, If someone is making a cake, and it burns, they know that next time they should not bake it for so
In conclusion, as I compare and contrast my ideas of success to Malcolm Gladwell and Amy Chua and Jed Rubenfeld's idea of success I found that there are more similarities than differences. Therefore, success can be ascertained by many different factors, it all comes down to the individual striving for it.
Personal responsibility may be perceived in many ways, but it is imperative to understand the relevance of why it must begin with our self. First, one will never develop an attitude of responsibility if they always look for others to complete their task. It is a necessity that one has personal discipline or their efforts to be responsible will prove to be fruitless. Second, being responsible yields great rewards and acting responsible is a clear sign of maturity. A responsible individual looks to no one but self and no matter what the outcome; they are willing to stand by their decisions. (Maltby 2009), “Personal responsibility is concerned with people taking individual accountability for their decisions and actions, together with the outcomes they create and their impacts on others.” (para.1)
To give my personal philosophy of success I would first have to define “success”. Success is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose. My success philosophy that I plan on implementing from now on is accepting personal responsibility for the good and bad choices I make. There will be time when I need to focus on school and worry less about my free time. If I have a test to take I have to study for that test to get a good grade and continuous good grades will help me pass the course. I can’t depend on anyone else to do my work for me I’m personally responsible for completing my assignments and turning them in on time. When the weekend comes around and all I do is procrastinate by telling myself I’ll study later. The smart thing to do about this situation would be to think wise and use my time-management strategies. I’ll always have time for myself, so sacrificing some free time now is well worth it. This helps me to be a creator and not the victim about things and keeping up with the self-management strategy. The success strategies that I will use will help my learning style, self-management and self-responsibility. Most people believe success is just having lots of money, cars, and women but I believe success is an individual sport and I have to be ready to play because the outcome of my performance is based on the work I put into it.
Success is defined differently amongst everyone due to people having different interpretations of what it means to be successful. In general, success means the accomplishment of a purposeful goal. However, this goal can be anything to anyone, hence the difficulty of one true definition of success. My personal definition of success includes the meaning that an individual is pleased with their career, their lifestyle, and their contribution to society. That being said, I recently had the pleasure to interview someone who is successful in my eyes. I met my interviewee while attending my younger sister’s school open house. At the open house, I had the opportunity to meet and converse with all of my sister’s teachers, however, the only one that caught my attention was Ms. C. She is a high school teacher who has taught 10th-grade geometry for the past 5 years but has taught other grade levels for the past 11 years. Ms. C further fits my definition of success by exemplifying enjoyment in
Success only truly comes with being happy. Happiness and success are the accomplices of one another. Someone cannot have accompanies without the other. Happiness brings success, and success brings even more happiness. Success, in the dictionary, is defined as the achievement of something desired planned or attempted. Therefore, success cannot be judged by anyone than oneself. It is a personal thing. It is the realization of goals, desires or plans made by one 's self. It is not measurable and yet is something we always use to compare others or appraise someone 's worth. Success, in one form or another, is something that someone should always be striving for. For some people it is something they will do subconsciously, and for others it will be something they will constantly labor for. Because success is something that is different for everyone, it is best that they measure their personal success by their sense of self worth instead of others. To have succeeded is to have lived, as someone wanted; ' it is to have lived well and laughed
I believe that hard work is the real treasure of a person because without hard work we cannot achieve our dreams and goals in life. No one can achieve success without doing hard work. It starts when we stop looking for alternatives or shortcuts towards success. We need to remember that there are no short cuts to success. Hard work is one of the secret for us to be successful in life. Laziness and sluggishness makes one’s life a curse and only hard work can make your life a blessing. We cannot work hard if we don’t have goals. The meaning of goal according to Wikipedia is a desired result of a
That is not success. Success is a something an individual will want to strive for until they achieve it. They will have their ups and downs and when they are being held down, they know how to pick themselves back up and don’t give up. That is determination, which is the key element to success. It is important to be determined so that even when someone feels that they are at the edge of giving up, their determination is

come to one 's mind. All I thought as a little girl was what to play with next. Of course school
“The failure is the mother of success” this Chinese quote said that failure is not the end. Failure is where people learn from their mistake. People cannot be successful all the time. Indeed, there are many people who learned from their failures before being successful. Each failure that people had met is a helpful lesson and valuable experience to help them become a better person.
