Factors are those things that influence a person in his field of work, studies and his way of life. Steve Jobs is called the Silicon Valley pioneer and the author of unique leadership and idea. Steve has come nearly close to achieving his goal, managing to make a name for him in all of the business and technological world.
So what did it take for him to get to the top?
Factors that contributed to his success:
1. Passion: Steve worked in his father’s workbench. He knew from the beginning that his future is in the creation of new things. And then when he met Wozniak, he got to know that those things were the personal computers (technology). They set their company in a garage. Despite the failures, Steve never lose hope. He got fired from the company that he found and his Apple III

Prideful and Over-Confidence: After his first success, Steve Jobs had become too confident and proud of his ability that he refused to acknowledge his own mistakes. He started to humiliate his employees un-necessarily. Steve Jobs was too much proud and too much confident that it contributed to his failure in his technopreneurship journey.
It is said that the pride of man is also the fall of man.
2. Lack of Communication: He was too proud that he failed to communicate to his people and to his employees. He did not think of consulting with others when making big or small decisions. He fired the employee who make any mistake but failed to understand that they were also humans who can make mistakes.
3. Attitude Problem: Steve had a bad temper. His short-tempered nature and rudeness leads him to his failure as a good leader. In fact, Bill Gates was a better leader than Steve. Bill Gates was also polite while Steve Jobs was most of the time rude, if not harsh.
4. Self-Obsessed: Steve Jobs was, of course, self-obsessed. His gives importance, only to himself and no-one else, not even his family. To him his well-being was more important than anyone
in leadership can be traced to his character which is shaped by his moral values and
Steve Jobs was an incredibly successful individual. In his 2005 Stanford commencement speech and Steve Jobs: An extraordinary career, Jobs’ reveals the habits he put into practice to achieve his success. There are two habits Jobs’ utilized, be proactive and begin with the end in mind.
The modern correspondent to these historic giants is Steve Jobs. From beginning to end his life is a show of the true American determination that the dream makes every strive for. He started in nothing less than his garage programming computers. Years went by, he is jumping over each hurdle as it comes, but he does not capitulate. He keeps going and eventually, Steve Jobs becomes the CEO of one of the biggest computer
Steve’s work made him outrageously famous in popularity and fame. He emerged into the spotlight very quickly due to the co-founding of Apple Co. His popularity and fame increased over the years that he kept introducing new products for consumers to buy. Many people like to call him “once in a generation genius”. (“Steve Jobs” pg.1) In 1982 Time Magazine earlier named his apple computer as the “Machine of the Year” aside with a long profile of Jobs and then got famous for it. (Riggertj pg 1) Later he was awarded the “national Medal of Technology” by President Ronald Reagan in the category “Greatest Public Service by an individual 35 years or under”.(Riggertj pg 1) In 1989 Jobs was named “Entrepreneur of the Decade” by Inc. Magazine. On November 2007, Jobs was named the most powerful and intriguing person in business by Fortune Magazine. Two films of Disney’s “John Carter” and Pixar’s “Brave” were dedicated to Steve Jobs. (The Life and Legacy of Steve Jobs” pg.1) Jobs later was chosen a
Steve Jobs charisma mostly depends on his knowledge and understanding of the technology he is absorbed. To technology field, Jobs may not compete to his engineers, nevertheless, he, together with Wozniak, has been the founder of Apple, and they also produced the very first hardware together (Isaacson, 2012). From this point of view, his understanding in technological field combined with visionary gift help him develop his vision and deliver it properly to his employees.
Steve Jobs was the utmost CEO of all time. In the speech it states, “……… he’s been called a visionary, a creative genius, a rebel, a non-conformist, an original, the greatest CEO ever, the best innovator of all time.” In the article it states, “He was intensely focused when committed, confident enough to take risky leaps, and charismatic enough to enlist legions of employees and customers in the restless pursuit of his aspirations.” Both texts describe the traits of Steve Jobs which made him the greatest CEO of our age. Steve Jobs was an original genius he had a significant and unique imagination. It’s one thing to envision your own company broadening, but it’s another thing to envision that your company’s services and products will change people lives for the better, the way we communicate and work. Jobs built his company thinking that Apple’s products and services would change the
Steve Jobs used leadership and focus to make an empire known as Apple. Jobs would take 100 or so people on a retreat just to simply come up with the next year 's inventions. He would start with a list of ten and have it narrowed down to just three. Jobs wanted to simplify these ideas so it could be more consumer friendly.
In 2005, Steve Jobs’ gave a commencement speech to the University of Stanford. His speech is a very motivational and inspiring to everyone that has listened to it. He talks about three stories that happened in his life and allowed him to be where he is today. Connecting the dots, love and lost, and death. He puts his life events into perspective and allows you to see how everything came together for him. Never giving up on what you believe in and doing what you love every day.
As Isaacson recalls in his biography on Jobs’ life, the first thing that Jobs did at Apple was cut out the convoluted product lines, instead shifting the focus on “four great products” (3). Already, Jobs’ tendency towards conscientiousness showed in his leadership style. Rather than leading an Apple that produced countless variations of the computer, Jobs saw the importance of efficiency. Just as a conscientious person desires to accomplish a task as well as possible, Jobs’ leadership style forced Apple to commit to making only four computers the best possible products. The next test of Jobs’ leadership style would be the creation of the iPod in 2001, the product that would redefine the music consumption market. Interestingly, Gladwell’s exposé of Steve Job’s leadership process likens Jobs to a “tweaker” rather than an inventor, citing the iPod as one such example (5). Rather than creating a brand new product, Jobs was committed to creating the perfect product for music playback. During Jobs’ time at Apple, he would often refine existing ideas until it fit his vision rather than creating something new. One famous quote attributed to Steve Jobs is “I’ll know it when I see it” (Gladwell 6). By constantly pushing his engineers and designers until they created a product that fit his vision, much to the chagrin of those working for him, Steve Jobs was able to release products that would revolutionize their markets, just as the iPod did. This penchant for perfection stems from Jobs’ tendency towards neuroticism. Although neuroticism is often regarded by many as a negative factor to successful leadership, I argue that neuroticism was key to Jobs’ leadership style. In Jobs’ case, the appearance of neuroticism through a drive for perfection created a leadership style that allowed Jobs to lead his company in creating

Overall, Steve Jobs was a great inventor. He changed the world with his many technological advances and the opening of his now world-famous company, Apple. He showed great determination, skill, and knowledge throughout all of his undertakings. Steve Jobs will never be forgotten and his inventions still live on today.
Although Steve and Bill are competitors, there are similarities between Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. Both of them are the most successful CEO’s in the world. Though they were college dropouts, but they still achieved a lot of success in their own way. Steve was a very innovative man. As the English proverb goes by “ Have no fear of perfection - you will never reach it.” by Salvador Dali. No matter how many times he failed, he could develop things from his own idea and turn them into a successful product. In 1979 Apple’s first product was introduced, people like it very much because of its simplicity and innovative ideas. Later on in year 1980, the company showed a tremendous performance, where its share rose by 32% (Messa, 1998). Similarly, Bill Gates was also like that, but just that Steve was in a company which makes hardware prod...
