American animation has influenced Australian animation to a small extent. Australian Animators adopted their animation techniques from America. The time from the Sound Era to the time when television animation became popular was the beginning of a rise in the creation of Australian animation. The Australian producer Yoram Gross produced some of Australia’s most well recognised and well known Australian animations. The Lego Movie produced by an Australian animation studio, Animal Logic, in collaboration with various American animation producing companies should be recognised as an Australian animation film.
In the 1980’s animation hit it peak with feature films, animated television, commercial that was paying very well, bands, and music videos. Stop motion animation was being the star in animation. Cable television shows would hire stop-motion animators to create their logo entirely with stop-motion animations, one network that did this was MTV. Also, some music videos would be completely done with stop-motion animation. Stop motion animation was almost used everywhere. Will Vinton created an animation studio that would produce the most iconic character today like the stop motion of Noid and the California Raisins made in clay for a commercial. These characters would become bigger than the brands they were to promote. “ Films such as Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Dragon Slayer, and Robocop would be filled with stop-motion visual effects to the point that the lines between reality and the imagined were so well blurred, many people thought it just couldn’t get any

If a girl was going to search for her Prince Charming, the first place she should look is in the world of animation. Animation has probably been around since the beginning of time. Although, the artwork that originally resembled animation was only one or two cels, animation today is made up of hundreds or thousands of cels.
The evolution of animation is a topic I passionately connect to. I have enjoyed animation ever since I was a child, and it provides a comforting feeling to me. Stop-motion animation uses methods that are tedious and time-consuming, while computer animation is less technical and costly. Another way of distinguishing the two forms of animation is physical vs. virtual; traditional animation uses physical materials and activities, while computer animation uses virtual elements in a digital space. Although computer animation grosses more at the box office; stop-motion animation is a medium that often goes underappreciated, requires hard work and dedication, and is immensely original.

Animation has been a huge contributor to today’s media when it comes to movies and televisions programing. For decades, using a series of images to create the illusion of movement, has evolved into billion dollar industries for entertainment. Animated movies are in a completely different league of their own and, no matter how simple they may seem, require a sufficient amount of technique as well as technology. Even live action movies use some form of animation in order to create worlds that could have never been possible without technology. This form of entertainment has shaped standards when it comes to what people expect to see in films in the 21st century. Animation, no matter the form, has been a large part of people’s lives and it has become quite transparent that recent advance have led to a whole new level of animation. There has however been conflict when it comes to this form of media in regards to whether or not traditionally animated films, whether it be stop motion or hand drawn pictures, are becoming obsolete since the advent of CGI (computer generated imagery). Animation fans from all walks of life have segregated themselves in accordance to what they believe is the better form of animation. The debate mainly focuses on whether these new advances are truly benefiting the animation industry and whether or not traditional animation, in movies, such as Disney’s Treasure Planet, are being over looked due to movies that use computers as a primary medium. It is arguable that GCI ads realism to animated films but does that fact completely rule out what hand-drawn films have been doing for decades. CGI should not supplant traditional animation techniques because ...

After a review process, it goes to the director and it gets a greenlit (like an okay) and goes into production. Next, we have the storyboard, these storyboards include drawing, movements, panning of the camera and the length of each shot. Next, we have layouts for the actual scenery and landscapes that take place. First, they are drawn on paper and it is reviewed like should we have the tree here or a building here etc. Once it is finalized it goes to a landscape department where they used to hand paint them but not anymore, now it is turned into digital landscapes. Next, we have key animators, what they do is they draw the first frame, the middle frame and the last frame of an animation. Next, it is going to the in-between animators who make sure that, the animation is a fluid movement by tracking the three pictures they were given. After all the animations are complete it goes to the compositing department, which is the coloring studio and the shading. Now the final production of the department is the effects department, what they do is they add effects whether it's lighting effects or shading effect etc. They make sure that that animation looks amazing. Finally, it goes to the post-production which is editing so that the 30-minute cartoon is exactly the amount of broadcast they may cut out some pieces. The last is the voiceovers which are probably one who is more
Animation is a simulation of movement created by displaying a series of pictures, or frames. Cartoons on television are one example of animation. Animation on computer is one of the chief ingredients of multimedia presentations.
For 3D animations, frames must be rendered after the model is completed. For 2D vector animations, the rendering process is key to the outcome. For recordings taped in advance, the frames are converted to a different format or medium as a film or digital video. The frames can be rendered in real time, while these are presented to end users. The animations for broadcast via the Internet at low bandwidth (eg 2D Flash, X3D) use programs on the user's computer to render in real-time animation as an alternative to transmission and pre-loaded animations for high-speed links.

Ever since the birth of the first computer, there have been people there to program and use them in incredible ways. Ways that boggle the mind and can cause even the smartest person to become perplexed at the shear ability of what a programmer and computer can accomplish. I would like to be one of the people that make smart people wonder by making innovative special effects, or even making an entire movie using only a computer.
