Careers in Computer Science and Programming
In the year 1995, our family received their first ever computer. It was a Pentium I with a 75 MHz processor, 64 MB ram, a 16x CD-Rom, a 5-gigabyte hard drive, and Windows 95 operating system. I thought it was the coolest thing man has come to know. It had games, and a completely new world called the internet. Not only could you talk to people from all around the world, but also you could watch streaming videos, view pictures, and send e-mails with attached files. It was like the worlds fastest postal service. From that moment forward, I was intrigued and in mesmerized by computers, and that led to me choosing to spend the rest of my life with them.
Ever since the birth of the first computer, there have been people there to program and use them in incredible ways. Ways that boggle the mind and can cause even the smartest person to become perplexed at the shear ability of what a programmer and computer can accomplish. I would like to be one of the people that make smart people wonder by making innovative special effects, or even making an entire movie using only a computer.
This is a very important job for people to keep and maintain. Not only do some aspects of it entertain others, but also another part of computer programming involves keeping our country safe. With the technology today and the advances of tomorrow, our great country will be sheltered from attacks of the new age. We will have the smartest and best programmers at the desk typing away and making sure that our missiles stay maintained, that out alert systems are running, and that our vital information is being transferred upon secure networks.
In order to be a successful computer programmer you need to have the right training.
There are wide varieties of programming languages available for a user to choose. You need now the right language for the type of code you are writing. You cannot program a java application using html; it just would not work. So depending on the type of programming language you need to learn, defines the type of classes you need to take, and the type of schools you need to attend.
Computer programming and computer engineering is still a profession that is being built.
Consequently, it is hard to find decent work, and to sustain a continuous position as a computer programmer for a company.
Capital punishment has been a hot topic debate the past years, especially now that it is slowly dying out throughout the states. In this paper I have brought out four people’s opinion on their views about capital punishment. With these people ideals, I wanted to bring forth a small sample of people’s ideals to leave the you, the reader, with some perspective on others
Coca Cola is one of the many companies that have changed the way they advertise very drastically, from the 60s; a very conservative era to now; which is a more contemporary time. The Coke ad featuring Marilyn Monroe is most likely from the late 50s to early 60s, and consequently reflects some of the beliefs of the time. This is also the case with the recent ad. Although the massive time gap between these two ads creates many differences between them, there are still a few similarities; seeing as how it’s the same company. The 60s ad seems a lot more catered towards a limited audience while the modern advertisement tries to broaden the variety of the audience they want to pursue.
Capital punishment is the most severe sentence imposed in the United States and is legal in thirty-eight states. The death penalty is a controversial subject, especially because the U.S. is the only western democracy to retain this consequence (Scheb, 518). I personally believe that the death penalty is a valid sentence for those who deserve it. Some believe it is not constitutional, but those who face this penalty are clearly suspect of a savage offense and therefore should be at a loss of certain rights. The arguments don’t end there once one considers that “the controversy over capital punishment becomes more heated when special circumstances arise” (Sternberg, 2). This issue brings up more arguments against the death penalty because of the constitutionally protected ban on cruel and unusual punishment which is protected by the Eighth Amendment. There have been nearly 15,000 executions that have taken place in America, the first in 1608 with the death of Captain George Kendall (Siegel, 410). Most of these were sentenced to death because of their own action of killing others. However, more and more crimes are now able to be punishable by death. This is the result of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which “dramatically increased the number of federal crimes eligible for this sentence” (Scheb, 520). Even so, the federal government has yet to put someone on death row for a non-homicidal case. The arguments for and against capital punishment are lengthy and strictly opinionated, but are also important to see the evolution of our society as the majority view changes and new influences come about.
On another note, the ads main medium was the scenery of people along with audio stimulation of different dialects. This set the perfect setting of freedom to get across its core message, which was the Coca-Cola brand. The presentation of the ad was easy and personable, but yet controversial because of the inclusion of diversity among the ad. Using this tactic aided the ad to be memorable and not
Capital punishment, also referred to as the death penalty, is the judicially ordered execution of a prisoner as a punishment for a serious crime, such as murder. Currently, in the United States, capital punishment is legal; however, it continues to create controversial disputes throughout the country. The first dispute revolves around the misconception that capital punishment attempts to teach society not to kill by killing. The second argument is whether society has an obligation to enforce capital punishment; thirdly, whether the death penalty is a means of vengeance or a means of justice; lastly, one of the most controversial discussions, is whether capital punishment is considered a form of cruel and unusual punishment. Although the death penalty has its faults, I believe it to be an appropriate form of punishment suited for the heinous crime committed. Furthermore, capital punishment is the only certain sentence that guarantees the safety of future potential victims; no other punishment can assure the same outcome.
After my twelfth grade, the inherent ardor I held for Computer Sciencemotivated me to do a bachelors degree in Information Technology. Programming and Math, a paragon of logic and reasoning have always been my favorite subjects since childhood. I still vividly remember the time during my graduation, when I was successful in creating a simple calculator application as a class assignment. The joy I derived from creating something that is used by a lot of people to help them perform complex calculations, made me realize the power of computing in its true sense. It was also in my graduation that I developed an immense interest in programming languages such as Java, C++ an...
Many plants and plant derived products are used in cancer therapy as cytotoxic agents. Examples include Taxol that is used for breast cancer (which gets its active constituent from Pacific Yew tree) and the vinca alkaloids used for leukaemia (from the Madagascar ...
Mr. John Casey, a close friend of Stephen's father, becomes abruptly provoked by the governess Dante, regarding the death and infidelity of Charles Parnell. Ignorantly, Dante proclaims her allegiance towards the Catholic church. She absent-mindedly believes the church has every right to intervene and remove Charles Parnell from parliament under the charges of adultery. She expresses her beliefs that the church should be involved in all matters of politics simply to ensure "Public Morality" (Joyce 92). Eventually, after much self-restraint, Casey angrily communicates his perspective of the corrupted Catholic church (Joyce 93). Many of the points Casey attempts to convey become embedded in Stephens psyche and follows him into early adulthood. Despite his lack of understanding at the time of the argument, he eventually realizes the true meaning of Casey's words. Toward the end of the novel, leading into Stephen's early years of adulthood; Davin confronts Stephen as to his reason for not wanting to join the fight for independence (Joyce 261). Stephen aggressively reiterates Casey's argumentized points, revealing Ireland's unspoken past and transgressions. Exposing Ireland's trends of betrayal and deceit towards its many noble and loyal subjects. Stephen emphasizes near the end of the novel that "Ireland

... things that software engineers need to learn, if you do not learn these things you will be at a disadvantage and be limited to what you are capable of. The rapid growth will open new jobs for the upcoming generations of software engineering. Software engineering is a hard but rewarding career, but in the end it helps others accomplish things that would not be possible 50 years ago.
I have always been interested in the working of computers since they were mainstreamed into our school system in the early 1990’s. At first, it was the programs and learning to do so many things with the computers. We were able to create active puzzles and mazes in our physics class. It always amazed me this little box could do so many things. I always found it exciting trying new programs on this machine and learning while I was at it.
The computer evolution has been an amazing one. There have been astonishing achievements in the computer industry, which dates back almost 2000 years. The earliest existence of the computer dates back to the first century, but the electronic computer has only been around for over a half-century. Throughout the last 40 years computers have changed drastically. They have greatly impacted the American lifestyle. A computer can be found in nearly every business and one out of every two households (Hall, 156). Our Society relies critically on computers for almost all of their daily operations and processes. Only once in a lifetime will a new invention like the computer come about.
I cannot forget how excited I was when I first bought my own computer. Like a mother who spends time sewing and knitting for her newborn baby, I spent hours and hours to sparkle my computer. I waited a long time to buy a brand new computer. I had to work more hours and saved money to buy a computer. I did not want to buy a cheap computer, but I wanted to buy a professional one. Was I professional on computer? No! I was not. I did not even know how to type, but I was sure that my expensive com puter could make me a computer expert. 17 inches monitor, color printer, two speakers and well-designed fancy keyboard made me just happy by looking at them on my desk.
