I wish to pursue the MS program in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Security. Computer - the sumptuous machine has always fascinated me for its endless possibilities. My deep interest in computer science stems from a natural aptitude for logical reasoning and mathematics. I have always been the topper of mathematics and computer science during my high school and stood first in city in the 5th National Cyber Olympiad. These achievements gelled with the evolvement of computers in various fields of science and technology encouraged me to pursue a career in computer science. As a stepping stone, I joined SRM University, one of the best institutes for engineering education in India for my undergraduate studies with computer science being my major.

At SRM, I was introduced to the true expanse of computer science. Subjects such as Computer Networks, Algorithms, Probability theory, Principles of programming languages and Data Structures piqued my interest as they allowed me to explore my analytical, logical and creative attributes. Computer Networks, in particular, taught me the importance of sharing of information – the first and foremost thing that we care about. Gradually, my tryst with computer networks become intense as I began to explore more and more about their significance and applications in various facets of life: education, social media, research, entertainment, etc. This fascination and exploration led me to do my final year project on mobile ad hoc networks under the guidance of Professor Velmurugan P. It presents a lifetime prediction routing algorithm that maximizes the network lifetime of MANETS by selecting the least dynamic route with long lifetime for maintaining the uninterrupted data flow. Besides my interest and academic excellence, I know I can add to the school’s vibrant student community. Growing up in India has conditioned me to respect cultural differences and social backgrounds. Other than my participation at various technical events, I have also taken an active interest in sports such as table tennis, cricket, badminton, arts and singing. Through these activities, I have won various awards and accolades at both school and college level.
