I have secured 88% marks in 10’Th standard and in m my favorite subject that’s Mathematics I secured 93% . Then I decided to take up Mathematics as my core subject for intermediate education and I took Mpc [Mathematics, Physics ,Chemistry].I secured valuable marks of 88% in my Board of Intermediate at …show more content…
I was dumbfounded to know that games are nothing but programs. Curious to know how to program I developed a serious interest in Computers. This keen interest in mathematics along with a strong liking for computers, and particularly programming, prompted me to choose engineering with Computer Science as my major. This decision gave me ample opportunity to consolidate my creative energies and harness my technical
As a young child, I always had an interest in computers and how they work. As a kindergartener, my parents gave me their old computer; a large creamed colored monstrosity that was considered old even for its time. Despite this, I was amazed by the device and how it worked. This interest continued with me as I grew older and went through school. Throughout middle school, I learned more about computers and took every chance I could taking computer classes. In high school, I took part in my first computer science class and learn the basics of coding. Although this class was difficult I learned the basics of computer science and developed a love for computer science and coding. Throughout high school, I would take a computer science class every year and develop my coding skills. I hope that here I will be able to continue to work towards my degree and develop my skills as I work towards making a career out of computer science.
My goal is to be in the business school of the college I attend and pursue a concentration in management or marketing.
Due to the same affinity towards Mathematics, Science and research in general, I have opted for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as my major subjects in high school (XII th standard), where I have scored the top marks with 91%. I have secured State 340 Rank among the 250,000 students in the Common Engineering Entrance Exam (EAMCET), it’s the only Entrance Exam for admissions into the undergraduate colleges in the state. I have also secured All India Rank of 107 ...
I grew up idolizing my father who was one of the very select few in his graduation batch to be recruited by IBM. This might sound easy but he had to acrobat through rounds of aptitude and IQ tests before being accepted as junior programmer. While growing up, it was his profession that gave me the opportunity to sit beside him and watch him write codes in languages that looked a lot like English but yet came across as French. Codes written by humans that made the computers perform tasks at lightning speeds was mesmerizing for a young boy. My interest in technology, particularly personal computers, increased as I grew and by the age of eleven, I started to develop small programs of my own in Basic, Fortran and Pascal.
I want to be a professional programmer. Although my major study was mainly focused on engineering and mathematics, I had developed a solid interdisciplinary background in the college. When I was solving a problem, I always tried to come up my solutions from different angles. Through coursework, club activity and research, I began realizing the significance of computer science. My broad interests gradually concentrated on algorithm design and robotics. I believe I can achieve the master degree and acquire professional programming skill by my intelligence and diligence.
The mind must never be kept idle because of its tremendous capacity to absorb and learn. After careful consideration of my aptitude, interests and experiences gained while pursuing my under graduation in the field of Computer Science and Engineering, I have decided to pursue my Masters in the field of Computer Science. Being a dynamic and ever evolving field, many new developments are expected and there is immense scope for research on new products and applications. To progress and make a mark in this field, I realize that it is important for me to pursue my Masters from a reputable university. I have always dreamt of taking up research.
As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. Having a job will not only help me make some
When I started my college career, I had an idea in mind. It was “I want a computer science degree!”, and I have to say, after this first term, that thought has not changed. I mean, not enough time has passed to consider changing major at this point. According to Clifton, Anderson & Schreiner (2006) “anywhere from 60 to 85% of entering college students change their major at least one” (p. 236). I hope not to be part of this statistic. I hope to continue on through with the major that I have chosen.
My hard work coupled with positive mindset rewarded me with a distinction of 87.33 percent of marks in my 10th grade examination. My passion and interest towards mathematics and science turned into realities when I secured 98.5 percent in mathematics and science during my 10th grade examinations. Eventually, I opted for the mathematics group in my intermediate (higher secondary) course and secured a distinction of 84.3 percent. It was here in the junior college where I was fo...
I believe in the saying that through the serendipity of exploring oneself and intensive self-examination, one ends up making all sorts of unexpected discoveries. The saying seemed to have fittingly applied to me when I was advised by my counselor to explore the world outside of easy classes at my community college. Upon being convinced by my counselor’s gift of the gab, I was given opportunities to enroll into a fistful of programming classes focusing on basic C, Java and embedded system. Unexpectedly enough, I found myself taking pleasure in the wide variety of programming courses more than my major classes. I have always been fascinated with computer systems and networking since my childhood, but the process of learning computer science algorithms in undergraduate level classes was what vastly motivated me to dive into the field of computer science.
Who knew growing up would be so stressful. No one gave me advice on how to get through the rough times, I had to learn on my own. But nothing has or ever will stop me from achieving my goals. Most of my family didn't finish school, or got the chance to start college, but if I Lizette Mendoza finish high school and college, I would be the third person in the family to do so. I want to be that third person to make my parents proud.
Before focusing on information technology, I majored in Athletic Training. After failing two important courses for the major, I gave up and decided to study Art. During my senior year, I realized that I did not want to pursue a career in art, as it was more of a hobby. Instead of changing my major again, I decided to graduate on time and gain experience in the work force. After working for a few months, I enrolled in Towson University’s graduate program, majoring in Computer Science. I believe it was the lack of in-depth knowledge of computer systems at the time, which caused for me to not want to continue with the program. A year later, I looked into pu...
I am a person who has always had a profound passion and fascination for areas requiring an analytical approach. Right from early days at school, Mathematics has intrigued me. The most challenging of all problems were my favorites and obtaining solutions to them would leave me with a sheer feeling of ecstasy. I always did and always would thrive on solving the most challenging problems. With a compelling desire to excel, hard work became my second nature. My aspiration for a technical career prompted me to take up one of the most coveted undergraduate program in Computer Engineering at SR Engineering College, the best of such institutions. My own systematic & methodical towards finding a solution to any problem best suits this field.
In four years at the University of Texas at Dallas, I will be graduating with my degree in Computer Science. To achieve this goal, I will take various steps to ensure my success. Some of these steps include taking major specific classes and complete needed coursework in a timely manner. Rather than taking classes that would be easy, I will need to take classes that will further my knowledge in the computer science field. I chose to major in computer science because it incorporates all my academic interests in one field. It has mathematics, problem solving, physics, and computers. I believe strongly that people should choose a career path that they are passionate about and for me, this is it. Being passionate about my major will also help me
